Downing Street has hit out at "people trying to interfere in our democracy and seeking to stir up division", after JD Vance's comments on the murder of Henry Nowak. The US vice-president blamed the death of the 18-year-old British student, who was fatally stabbed last year in Southampton by Vickrum Digwa, on the "mass invasion of migrants" and said the "only response" was "righteous anger". After the post on X, the Downing Street spokesman said the Nowak family had "said they do not want his death to be used to create further division".

LONDON — For the second time in a week, a top Trump administration official has publicly criticized Europe over migration levels, the latest in a series of attacks aimed at political leaders on the continent. The stabbed teenager begged officers for help, as they handcuffed him before realising their mistake. To watch those final moments, on the police body-cam footage released this week, is all the more immediate, and unbearable. The outrage is widely shared. But the way it has been weaponised is alarming. His family’s wish is for his legacy to be a renewed effort to reduce knife crime, not increased antagonism along racial and religious lines. Bereen Dzayee, 25, of Lakeside, California, was arrested Friday on federal terrorism charges. Neighbors and a former classmate identified him as a former U.S. Navy sailor. Prosecutors allege he proposed using drones to target U.S. Special Forces and helped fund a scheme involving rocket-propelled grenades and UAVs intended for attacks on American servicemembers overseas.
The FBI arrested Dzayee along with Bisaam Ghafoor, 21, of Leawood, Kansas, and Elias Shamsaldeen, 21, of Porterville, California. The three are charged with conspiring to provide material support to ISIS after allegedly spending more than a year discussing attacks, raising money, and expressing support for the terrorist organization.
Israel conducted strikes on military targets in western and central Iran early Monday local time, the Israeli military announced, escalating a conflict that had already broken through the ceasefire just hours earlier when Iran fired multiple waves of missiles at Israel on Sunday.

Jan. 3, 2027 will be a historic day. Barring some unforeseeable circumstance, when the fateful day comes around, Hisham “Adam” Hamawy will become the first member of the United States House of Representatives to have worked for a group linked to al-Qaeda, and to have served as a defense witness for a jihad terror leader.
