The Supreme Court on Tuesday handed the Trump administration a win by reversing a lower court ruling against a requirement that immigration judges seek official approval before giving speeches in their official capacities. The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals last year intervened in light of President Donald Trump's firing of several agency heads responsible for hearing complaints, Reuters reported. The policy stems from the Executive Office for Immigration Review, which oversees roughly 750 immigration judges. The justices did not rule on the merits of the case, but merely reversed the lower court decision and sent it back for additional proceedings.

Trump and Iran: The Most Critical Juncture 0 replies

I’ve said it in pieces on my show for several weeks now: between Memorial Day and July 4. That is the window. That is the calendar stretch in 2026 when President Trump needs to land a clear and convincing win on Iran. Not a slogan. Not a “framework.” Not a diplomat’s sentence with nine clauses and no verbs. A win ordinary Americans can understand.Because November is coming. And politics, unlike cable news, does not wait around for experts to finish explaining why voters should ignore what they feel in their wallets.

After the Ukrainian attack targeting a college dorm that killed 21 students, mostly young women, the Russians vowed ‘strategic’ attacks against decision-making centers in the capital, Kiev. After Saturday (23), when Mosco unleashed 90 missiles and 600 drones against Kiev, we learned that the attack was just the beginning. After the Foreign Ministry made a general warning for diplomatic missions to leave the city, and for citizens to avoid Military, Industrial, and Government Sites, we learned today (26) that a more specific warning was transmitted personally to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The attacks were “self-defense strikes” and included “missile launch sites and Iranian boats attempting to emplace mines,” said U.S. Central Command spokesman Navy Capt. Tim Hawkins. The strikes were in Bandar Abbas, in southern Iran, near the Strait of Hormuz, a defense official said. There was no announcement of any change in the temporary ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran, which went into effect April 8. “U.S. Central Command continues to defend our forces while using restraint during the ongoing ceasefire,” Hawkins said.

Israel marked Memorial Day on Monday with a video message honoring fallen American troops and emphasizing the solidarity between the United States and the Jewish state. “Today, on U.S. Memorial Day, Israel stands with America,” Israel’s Foreign Ministry wrote in a post accompanying the video. “We honor the brave men and women who gave their lives defending liberty and protecting the values shared by our free nations.” The video, published across official Israeli government social media accounts, paid tribute to fallen American service members while emphasizing the close alliance between the United States and Israel.

Colombia’s presidential candidates concluded their campaigns this weekend in anticipation of the Sunday, May 31 election. Colombian voters will head to the polls to choose who will succeed Gustavo Petro, the nation’s first leftist president ever, once his term ends in August. The election has been marred by violence for years, beginning with the assassination of conservative presidential frontrunner Sen. Miguel Uribe Turbay. Sen. Uribe, 39 at the time of his death, was shot in the head twice and once in the leg by a child as he held a rally in Bogotá on June 7, 2025.

Most Americans are spending time with their families this weekend for Memorial Day, remembering and honoring those who gave their lives for our country. But some were busy doing other things. For example, there were activists at the ICE detention center in Newark, N.J., over the weekend. Democratic politicians also made an appearance. Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ) was trying to get into the facility on Sunday. Kim was back on Monday. Gov. Mikie Sherrill also showed up. The activists were at it again on Monday. Here's one digging up large blocks to help add to their blockade of an exit from the facility.

The story made the absurd claim that “officials closed ranks” around Castro, and added nauseating details as if the outpouring was genuine in a country where free speech is as scarce as gasoline. “An avalanche of posts from state-run newspapers and high-ranking Cuban government officials showed photographs of Mr. Castro as a young soldier, greeting children, chuckling with brother Fidel, waving the Cuban flag,” the article continued.

Scrambling to repair its mail-ballot boondoggle, the Maryland State Board of Elections began reprinting ballots Thursday, with plans to have more than 500,000 ballots resent to voters by next Friday. The elections board first announced last week that an undetermined number of mail ballots for the June 23 party primary were sent to the wrong voters, which it blamed on an error. While an undetermined number of voters will be voting a second ballot, the state’s top election official assured the public that only one ballot will be counted per voter for Maryland’s June party primary.

Iran's regime has been using two tactics. It says: "We need time. We are, because of the strikes, fractured and our leadership divided." Or, as Vice President J.D. Vance naively noted on its behalf, it says it does not know what it wants. "The Iranians aren't themselves quite clear in what direction they want to go," Vance, with a straight face, told reporters at the White House; "they are also just a fractured country." That is exactly what the regime wants: that you are dumb enough to believe that. The Iranian regime knows precisely what it wants.

The Trump Administration Is Cutting College Costs 4 replies

Colleges are cutting tuition for MBA programs. But it’s not out of charity or because they got another taxpayer-funded subsidy to “fix” exploding higher education prices. Rather, and perhaps counterintuitively, it’s because Uncle Sam finally capped the previously unlimited federal loans for graduate students. At first blush, this sounds like it would make the problem worse. Fewer borrowing options for students seems like it would shift more of the cost of attendance to today, when students are young with relatively low incomes. But that assumes—unrealistically—that the cost of education is fixed, and that colleges don’t respond to changes in the market.

Democrats weighing 2028 presidential campaigns are seeking ties with Sen. Elizabeth Warren as she works to shape the party’s next White House primary, according to Axios. Axios reported Monday that Warren, one of the most influential figures in the progressive movement, is being courted publicly and privately by Democrats eyeing 2028 presidential bids, a sign potential candidates are trying to strengthen their standing with the party’s far-left flank. Warren lost her White House bid in 2020, but Axios noted she later played a major role in shaping President Joe Biden’s administration by helping place allies in his administration. Her moves have also drawn concern from some centrist Democrats, who worry she has

"I’m totally in favor of trans athletes in high school," Steyer told "I've Had It" podcast host Jennifer Welch. "When you understand the vulnerability, the stress, the danger of being a trans kid, and you understand almost half of them try to commit suicide, then you think, 'We’re gonna punish those kids, we’re gonna cut them off from team sport.' Canada's prairie provinces, including Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, are in some ways more like the western United States than the rest of Canada. They are more independent, more reliant on agriculture and the energy sector, with lower populations, and with a population more inclined to conservative viewpoints. For some time now, the energy-rich province of Alberta has been making noises about seceding from Canada. Now, it looks like that may come to a vote. The Telegraph's Michael Taube has some thoughts on that.

Once again, the U.S. Senate is on vacation. This group barely works, and when they are in session, they accomplish practically nothing. Since the start of President Donald Trump’s second term, Congress has passed only one major piece of legislation. While the “One Big Beautiful Bill” was a notable accomplishment, it should not have been the only legislative victory for the Republican Congress. During the same period of President Joe Biden’s administration, a Democratic-led Congress passed four major pieces of legislation: the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act, the CHIPS Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. Of course, these bills harmed our economy, propelled wasteful spending, and funded ludicrous

Wildfires are down in North America as well as every other continent. Hurricanes and other extreme weather events are milder and less frequent, and fatalities due to it are far fewer. The snows of Kilimanjaro are still there. Manhattan is not under water. In fact, the seas have barely risen. The Netherlands are no more nether than ever, and the seas would have to rise another 5,280 feet to reach the Mile High City of Denver.
