The 2026 mid-term and the 2028 presidential elections may well decide the fate not only of the United States but of those who self-identify as left-of-center moderates and liberals and who also make up the bulk of America’s current ruling class. Blinded by their Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), far too many within this myopic but significant segment of the electorate still foolishly suppose that there remain various alternative political entities that encompass their “centrist” views, such as the Democrat and Republican parties of twenty years ago. FLORENCE, Ariz. — An Arizona prisoner convicted of killing another man by throwing gasoline at him and lighting a match was put to death Wednesday, the first of three executions planned this week around the U.S.
Leroy Dean McGill, 63, was pronounced dead at 10:26 a.m. PDT following a lethal injection at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Florence. McGill was convicted of murder in the death of Charles Perez, who was attacked with his girlfriend in a north Phoenix apartment on July 13, 2002.
It was the first lethal injection carried out this year in Arizona, and McGill didn’t appear to be resisting at any point during the procedure.

The Colorado Democratic Party has censured fellow party member Gov. Jared Polis for reducing the prison sentence of former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters.
Peters, an ally of Donald Trump, was convicted in 2024 of tampering with county voting machines. She was allegedly trying to prove election rigging six months after the 2020 election, according to Colorado Public Radio. She is scheduled to be paroled on June 1.
