Following major backlash about the scheduled release of a serial child molester through California’s elderly parole program, the 64-year-old is now facing new charges that could keep him behind bars.
News that David Allen Funston was set to be freed was met by outrage among victims, politicians and others. (snip)
Funston, granted parole earlier this month, was set to be released on Thursday from state prison — but was rearrested that same day on new charges from a decades-old, untried case. The charges he’s facing are from a 1996 case in which he is accused of sexually assaulting a child in Roseville, according to the Placer County district attorney’s office.

Federal authorities raided the home and office of Los Angeles Unified School District Supt. Alberto Carvalho on Wednesday morning in what appears to be a probe related to a company that developed an AI chatbot for the nation’s second-largest school system.Authorities have not provided any details about the investigation. But one source with knowledge of the matter said it involved AllHere, a failed AI company whose founder was charged with fraud in 2024.(snip) the FBI provided an address in Florida that was searched Wednesday morning. Public records show that property is linked to an individual who worked with AllHere.

If you were with CTH when I did the deep dive into the Miami-Dade School Police Department and Miami-Dade School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, you will likely remember how corrupt and sketchy he was. {SEARCH TOOL} Carvalho was tightly aligned with the Obama/Biden administration, the “my brothers keeper” program and the Dade/Broward County “Promise Program” where high school kids who committed felonies were directed away from the criminal justice system and instead given school punishments (suspensions etc.).
I spent months fighting corrupt Miami-Dade officials and getting transcripts from internal police investigators who admitted to the corruption within the program. It was jaw-dropping.

The collective war being carried out by Ukraine and Brussels against Hungarian energy systems is escalating. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is now putting military defenses and security forces around critical infrastructure.
ORBAN: We will not give in to blackmail! I have ordered increased security for critical energy infrastructure.
The Ukrainian government is exerting pressure on the Hungarian and Slovak governments through an oil blockade. They will not stop there, as they are preparing further actions to disrupt Hungary’s energy system. Hungary cannot be blackmailed!

President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of Union was one for the history books, but not simply because it was the longest annual speech a joint Congress has heard in decades. It could turn out to be one of the most identifiable forms of momentum Republicans can harness to perform well at the polls come November.
Corporate media, armed with “tough” poll numbers they manufactured, wondered ahead of Tuesday night if Trump would pull off the pep rally Republicans need to stay in power after the midterm election. They kept up this schtick the morning after the State of the Union with coverage arguing that Trump did little to assist or invigorate

President Trump captured a fantastic moment with the gold medal winning USA Mens Hockey team during his state of the union remarks. After the Olympic team spent time in the White House earlier in the day, the team was introduced during the state of the union with thunderous applause and chants of “USA, USA” from the chambers.
Even a few of the communists in the audience stood to applaud the team as President Trump highlighted his remarks about their success and the very unique nature of the team as a whole. A very American moment.

A win for President Trump and the Dept of Homeland Security. The DC Court of Appeals has ruled against the plaintiff argument seeking to block the IRS (Treasury Secretary Bessent) from sharing cross-reference information with the Dept of Homeland Security (Secretary Noem).
Bottom line, the IRS can share data with DHS to identify status of illegal aliens.
“The only issue that we decide is whether, on the sparse record before us, Appellants have met their heavy burden to make a clear showing that they are entitled to the preliminary injunctive relief sought. For the reasons indicated, we conclude that Appellants have not.”

Every election cycle, super-rich, out-of-touch white Dem politicians try to convince us that they’ve got some mega magical connection with minority voters. They claim to understand minority struggles, speak their language, and know exactly what these communities need. How do they know this? Well, nobody’s known until now. Apparently, wealthy white liberals understand black voters because they also have low SAT scores and can’t read.Yes, you heard that right.
Gavin Newsom just announced this to the world.
At an event that was supposed to focus on outreach to black voters, Newsom twisted himself into a pretzel, trying to present himself as relatable to black folks. Instead, Gavin wandered

Occasional California Governor Gavin Newsom, who keeps turning up anywhere but California, has continued his highly calculated descent into vulgar and insulting behavior this week. The performance still has the awkwardness of the first week of acting school. It’s like watching a character play a character, many times removed from an identifiable real person. Whatever he’s doing, he’s definitely pretending.

The highest court in Panama has nulled the ‘Chinese’ contract for the operation of both entrance ports on the Panama Canal. The Panamanian government took back control and assigned operations to APM Terminals, a subsidiary of the Danish group A.P. Moller-Maersk.The state takeover comes after a 14-month long saga begun by President Trump who reasserted American interests in the hemisphere and rejected the concept of allowing China to have strategic control over such vital North American infrastructure.
President Trump did not mince words in December of 2024 when he said, “[The Panama Canal] was not given for the benefit of others, but merely as a token

Focus on Minnesota found a state lawmaker and survivors of a “hidden” brutality raising concerns as neither prosecutions nor sanctions could be linked to a felony impacting women and girls. (snip) “It’s hidden — it’s a cultural practice, and who is doing the cutting could be a family member or a doctor who is also in that same culture,” Minnesota state Rep. Mary Franson (R) told the outlet more than three decades after the procedure that cuts, piercess, removes or sews closed parts or all of the female’s external genitals was made a felony in her state.
