Trump Sends Tom Homan to Minnesota

Original Article

Posted By: Dreadnought, 1/26/2026 11:14:56 AM

Amid continuing violent insurrection in Minneapolis, where local police and state authorities are siding with anti-ICE rioters, Donald Trump is sending his border czar to oversee operations personally. Border Patrol shot an armed and violent protestor, Alex Pretti, as he feloniously clashed with them during an operation to arrest a criminal illegal alien. Since then, the property destruction and assaults on federal immigration officers escalated, while Minnesota and Minneapolis authorities refused to do anything to enforce the rule of law. Gov. Tim Walz deployed the National Guard but apparently mainly to hand out goodies to violent protesters. So Donald Trump is taking action.

This is the SAME Tom Homan who was given a medal by Obama for doing such an outstanding job deporting illegals under The Zero's tenure.

On the Larry O'Connor show this morning, (wmal.com), regular Monday guest was Joe DiGenova. You can hear the show later today or tomorrow on the Amal website. Alway, his thoughts were that the Trump Admin is losing the messaging on the actions in Minnesota. That they should pull all of ICE/CBP out and let Minnesota wallow in their filth of illegal criminal alines and ANTIFA. And put those same ICE resources into a red state where they will get state and local police cooperation and show those operations on national television. And pursue RICO, any and every legal charge against Walz, Ellison and Frey along with their mob, convene a grand jury and prosecute. Probably won't get any guilty convictions as the federal courts there are as liberal as in DC, but make the effort. I tend to agree with Joe if only because all this mayhem is giving Walz and Co. a very loud national voice and presence and you just know that someone like Abigail Spanberger, the supposedly moderate Democrat who just became Virginia's latest Governor is hoping that she can make a name for herself on the national stage taking on Donald Trump and his evil treatment of illegal aliens aka our undocumented neighbors....

I respectfully disagree about pulling ICE out. Imagine the celebrations among the Somali/Anti-ICE. Commiecrats as the last ICE vehicle leaves Minneapolis. Other Cities best brace for similar peaceful protests if the current one is victorious.

Oh, yes, let's just back off and let the illegal aliens and instigators do whatever the hell they want to because someone might say something bad about Trump! REALLY? Is Joe's middle name "Chamberlain"? That's about the most asinine advice I've ever heard! Besides, Trump tried that last time he was in office (remember Portland?). No, Mr. President, go in and put a stop to this NOW!!!

No doubt the leftist, progressive and socialist Democrat Minnesota Governor, Attorney General, and the Minneapolis Mayor who support those violent protests against the effective enforcement of the Federal Immigration laws, could care less about the factually experienced “cop” Tom Homan or his mission. So don’t be surprised, once their talks go sour, if they refer to Homan as being a Nazi Gestapo like Republican flunky who has been taking lessons from the original Nazi Gestapo who seized and killed Anne Frank, a Jewish girl, who lived in the Netherlands during the Second World War. It’s all political as the leftist Democrats do not want any illegal aliens to be deported, but instead want the illegal alien population of ten to twenty million mostly poor and uneducated Third World origin people to be transitioned to become leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat supporters and voters to keep the leftist Democrats in permanent political power.

Make America Safe Again What about the law-abiding citizens of Minnesota who are NOT Illegals or fraudsters who are getting screwed over and feel unsafe to walk the streets due to all the rent-a-mobs being sent into Minneapolis-St. Paul?? There have been other places where ICE came and there were some protests, but this is a MANUFACTURED fake news narrative to keep the corruption and fraud out of the headlines!

I'm with #3, 4, and 5. I have two suggestions, the first is to keep up -and ramp up- the Immigration enforcement, get the Criminal Illegals OUT, and talk LONG and LOUD about just who they are, and the crimes they have committed, and, at the same time, CUT THE FEDERAL FUNDING to those places where the 'Rats are running this illegal operation, as it has come out that a number of 'Rat legislators and other government officials are part of -heck, they helped set up- the organized operation and the 'Signal' communication network that they use. My second suggestion is more to the article writer.... Please stop using the term 'CZAR'. We are NOT Imperial Russia, although like Imperial Russia, we are being attacked by organized Communists.

Prayers for Tom Homan and everyone fighting for good to prevail in Minnesota and across the U.S. May God open eyes to the truth and strengthen hearts to support it. May He bless every decision, guide every effort, and protect every person fighting against this organized evil with His Providential Care and Protection, and may He grant them victory. To God be the glory.

What Trump and Homan should dois say, hey Gov, we have a list of 500 or 100 or whatever number of illegal alien criminals etc. we want to get out of your state. If you work with us to achieve that goal in the next 30, 60, 90 days, whatever, we can reduce the presence of DHS in the area. Oh, and don't show the list until you are ready to go on each case. It sounds like the Lt Gov is buried deep inside the insurrectionists.

During the WTO riots in Seattle in 1999, the then mayor of Seattle did the same thing as Walz did. A local radio station was asking for donations from their listeners so they could buy pizzas for the cops who were trying to protect the city from the rioters. The mayor came, saw the pizzas and started handing them out to the rioters. Some people put a stop to that.

The Democrat Governor and Mayor, both far left political animals, are going to support the side that is most likely to vote for them, and that surely is not the US Border Patrol Agents or the ICE Agents who were sent to Minneapolis to enforce the Federal Immigration laws.

A federal appeals court on Monday declined to reimpose restrictions on federal agents at protests in Minnesota, refusing the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) plea to do so following this weekend’s fatal shooting. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel sided with the Trump administration, ruling that limits imposed by a judge earlier this month were too broad and vague. “A wrong call could end in contempt, yet there is little in the order that constrains the district court’s power to impose it,” the panel wrote in its unsigned opinion. The ruling lasts until the 8th Circuit resolves the administration’s appeal in normal course, which will be expedited.

WASHINGTON - New orders for key U.S.-manufactured capital goods increased more than expected in November, indicating business spending on equipment maintained a steady growth pace in the fourth quarter. The fifth straight monthly rise in the so-called core capital goods orders, reported by the Commerce Department on Monday, followed on the heels of data last week showing strong consumer spending in October and November, and reinforced economists' expectations the economy extended its robust performance ‌in the last three months of 2025. The strength in business investment in equipment and the overall economy has occurred despite President Donald Trump's sweeping import tariffs, which have depressed a large segment of manufacturing. Top Border Patrol official Gregory Bovino and some of his agents are expected to leave Minneapolis on Tuesday and return to their respective sectors, according to three sources familiar the discussions, sidelining a key player in the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. The move comes after President Donald Trump announced he was dispatching White House border czar Tom Homan to Minneapolis in the wake of Saturday’s fatal shooting of a US citizen. The White House has said Homan is expected to manage Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in the city. One official said it was a “mutual decision” to have Bovino depart. The situation in Minnesota is out of control, and finally, happy hands lunatic Tim Walz has chosen reason, deciding to cooperate with Trump officials in the wake of the recent shooting of Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis last Saturday. It sparked another round of outrage from the Left, who claim, without evidence, that he was executed. Meanwhile, some conservatives claimed wrongly that he was about to commit mass slaughter before he was shot—Pretti was legally carrying a firearm at the protest. It’s created a total mess on messaging, and now Trump is stepping in to clean up the mess, appointing Tom Homan

We are witness to what I have called “The battle of the Twin Cities.” On one side is federal law enforcement. We support federal law enforcement. On the other side are state and local authorities, the Star Tribune, and a highly organized resistance. We beg to differ with them all. Not enough attention has been paid to the resistance. It is well-funded, covert, highly organized, and supported by state and local authorities. It seeks to harass and obstruct the federal officers executing federal immigration law in Operation Metro Surge. The participants present a sort of neo-Confederate scene that used to go under the moniker of “massive resistance,”

The left is making a hero and a martyr of Alex Pretti, which makes perfect sense if you ignore nearly all the facts. Here is what we know so far: * Pretti was no innocent bystander or peaceful protester. He was a member of the signal “ICE watch group” that was formed to interfere with federal law enforcement. Matt Margolis has much more about the well-organized, and no doubt well-financed, criminal group of which Pretti was a member. * Pretti came to an area where federal officers were carrying out an enforcement action with the intent of trying to disrupt them. He brought with him a luxury version

It’s counterintuitive, and the opposite would be far worse. But we’re still duty-bound to prepare for the electoral fallout. Because, in all probability, it’s coming with a vengeance in 2026. I don’t want to sound unappreciative, because I’m delighted with the results. Ask yourself: Would you rather solve illegal immigration, halt border crossings, stop violent crime, and deal with the political consequences — or live in a country with nonexistent borders and a runaway crime rate? When we consider the alternative, what choice did we have?

Alex Pretti did something foolish and illegal at the protest in Minneapolis. He interfered with law enforcement agents. There will be debates for days if not years about whether his illegal interference with the cops, the discovery of his gun, and his violent resistance justified them shooting him. In considering that issue, I urge readers to consider it not from the warm comfort of their recliner while watching slow-motion videotapes interspersed with football highlights, but from the perspective of cops who are being taunted, spat upon, name-called, and threatened with being run over by organized protesters in the bitter
