2025 Man of the Year: Christiane Amanpour

Original Article

It’s not easy to put a positive spin on a mass-murdering terrorist group. But CNN’s chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour found a way. While most of the world celebrated the release of the last Israeli hostages this October—and listened in horror to the victims’ stories of torment in Gaza’s underground tunnels—Amanpour took a moment to give Hamas kudos for its treatment of the captives. "They are probably being treated better than the average Gazan because they are the pawns and the chips that Hamas had," she mused. "Now Hamas has given up all its leverage by giving them all up." That is the sort of "fearless and uncompromising"

Being of iranian descent, Amanpour is just making sure Khamenei doesn't get in a bad mood over anything she reports and decides to issue that fatwa for Amanpour's head.

War slut is back? Who knew? Lovely as ever. Maybe someone should start looking into how she became a citizen. Hey wait, is she a US citizen you ask? I just asked AI if and when she became a citizen. The reply came she got a green card (no date), through an EB-1 category granting her permanent residency. Then the little cherub fulfilled her naturalization requirements including a five year residency requirement and became a US citizen. However, AI reports no exact date on her naturalization is provided. Hmmmmm. I think US immigration and Trump's guys need to start looking at whether War Slut is indeed a US citizen and whether or not like her buddy Omar, fraud was involved. How much fun would that be to watch?

I came of age during the beginning of the Disco era. I bought Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” (1978) as a single and subsequently the album Love Tracks, on which it is found. I still have both. Even if you weren’t there, like me, at the beginning when disco music went from being played exclusively in the underground gay and black clubs to being listened to and played by the mainstream media, most, if not all of us, know the song. We like the song, like we like any other song, for whatever reason, as music is subjective. It's not because the singer is a Republican or a Democrat.

Anti-oil and gas advocates across the country have pursued litigation in recent years attempting to force the fossil fuel industry to pay for decades of financial damages the advocates claim were caused by climate change. Several cases have been dismissed while others advanced through court systems, with some being considered before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2026. Critics of the litigation call it "woke lawfare" and an attempt to force progressive political policies via the judicial system. Critics also argue the lawsuits threaten U.S. energy independence and, depending on outcomes, will have sweeping impacts on every American. Here are some of those cases.

With the arrest of Nick Reiner for the alleged murder of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer, commentators have taken to simultaneously pitying the accused for his mental illness while condemning him for his evil actions. This is logically contradictory. On the one hand, if it is illness that explains why Nick Reiner committed a crime, then he cannot be held morally responsible for his actions. It is just to hold him morally responsible for his actions only if he could have chosen, on the basis of reasons, not impulses or compulsions, to have done other than what he allegedly did. If, on the other hand, we insist

One of the worst decisions Joe Biden ever "made" as president was also one of his first. He tapped Amanda Gorman, a mediocre Harvard grad (but we repeat ourselves) to read one of her crappy poems at his inauguration. It was like watching the neighborhood Karen recite the lyrics to a Red Hot Chili Peppers song at the #Resistance poetry slam. Red, white, blue, Mountain Dew like majesty. Ooze this truth like hope's audacity. Crash these waves on a Mayflow'r tragedy. Blood soaked hands on the land mass casualty. Rat-a-tat, John Doe, James Dean, Jimmy Crow. What wouldn't a parent do to protect their children? There isn't any length most parents wouldn't go to, to protect their kids. As the father of four daughters, this story brought a warm feeling to my heart. In Texas, a 15-year-old girl was reportedly kidnapped by a goblin with intentions we will not discuss or speculate on here, but the girl's Dad was prepared. He tracked his daughter's phone, confronted the goblin, and rescued his daughter. The girl is safe, and the suspected kidnapper is in jail, thanks to parental controls on the girl's phone. A father in Texas saved his 15-year-old daughter after he traced her phone to find the location

In 1988, if you had told anyone that the Soviet Union would cease to exist just four years later, you would have been dismissed as a crank. The institutions looked solid, the bureaucracy entrenched, and the power absolute. Yet by 1992, it was history. Today, European politicians in Brussels, Berlin, and Paris suffer from the same dangerous optimism. They believe they are so safely ensconced in their institutional frameworks that public anger can never truly throw them out of the saddle. But looking at the trajectory of the European Union, I believe we are closer to a revolutionary moment than the elites dare to imagine. We often hear comparisons to the 1930s,

Nothing says "politics" more than pandering to various constituencies, and it's not like most of us can't recognize when a politician is being phony to send a message to some groups that he cares about them, especially their votes. Generally speaking, most of us don't get upset about this because in a pluralistic society there will always be some of this, and in fact, it is rather disturbing when a politician makes clear he dislikes a significant chunk of his constituency. "I represent white people, or black people, or pledge my allegiance to some other country. (X) Several Democrats have outright stated that their allegiance belongs to some other country,

Our extremely sensitive British cousins have struck a blow for humanity. Or, rather, for lobsterdom: “Boiling live lobsters to be banned under animal rights reforms.” In its animal welfare strategy, published on Monday, the government said that “live boiling is not an acceptable killing method”, while also setting out new farming standards and banning trail hunting. The strategy, which sets out a series of protections for pets, farmed animals and wild animals, said the government would publish guidance on the best way to kill decapod crustaceans such as crabs, lobsters and prawns. I would have thought that being plunged into boiling water would be a pretty humane way to kill a lobster.

One has to be concerned about the safety of President Donald Trump after assassination attempts, the hatred of the left, and even threats from foreign governments. That's why security lapses, like what happened in September at the Joe’s seafood restaurant in D.C., raise big questions. Protesters got almost within arm's reach of President Donald Trump and his Cabinet members when they arrived for dinner. How were they allowed to get this close, and why hadn't the Secret Service ensured that the restaurant was secure before Trump and his party arrived? And what does that mean for security if they let that go by? The protesters were ridiculous, chanting, "Trump is

One day last week I was walking down the street when a van with blacked-out windows pulled up to the curb. Three masked men jumped out and before I knew it they were bundling me into the back of the vehicle. They chloroformed me and for a while I was out. When I came to, the van was pulling up to a building, a brand-new skyscraper with a Japanese name on the front that I didn’t catch. They hustled me into the building, which seemed deserted, and on to an elevator. We rode the elevator to the top floor. I still had no idea what was going on, but when they headed

Iran’s president declared they were in a “total war” with the US, Israel and Europe, just as Tehran looks to rebuild its nuclear capabilities and strengthen ties with Hamas. Masoud Pezeshkian made the bold statement in an interview published in state media Saturday, Barron’s reported. “In my opinion, we are at total war with the United States, Israel and Europe. They want to bring our country to its knees,” Pezeshkian said. This war is worse than the one launched against us by Iraq. On closer inspection, it is far more complex and difficult,” he said, in reference to the 1980-88 war with Iran’s western neighbor.

Charlie Kirk was a one-off, it seems. His assassination and the turning over of TPUSA to his wife Erika may prove that his legacy handoff is more than she is able to effectively manage. So much of what I saw at this week’s Am Fest triggered by Tucker Carlson (and Jack Posobiec’s cosplaying Jesus Christ Superstar while posting with a disgusting anti-Semite) undercuts -- indeed denigrates -- what Charlie and TPUSA once stood for. Kristians Petrovskis, Romunds Cubrevics, and Nurmunds Ulevicus from Latvia are accused of the fraud, per a news release last week from the Texas Financial Crimes Intelligence Center (TFCIC). But KCWX2 shed more light on the crime by stating that all three men entered America illegally and for the express purpose of committing criminal activities. Petrovskis, Cubrevics, and Ulevicus are accused of gift card cloning, according to TFCIC, and at the time of their arrest had over 400 gift cards in their possession.

Omar (D-MN) went from nearly broke to being worth up to $30 million in just a year — as a massive, up to $9 billion fraud scheme involving the Somali community in her district unfolded right under her nose in Minnesota. Close to 90 people have been charged so far, including at least three with direct ties to the lefty Squad member, though she has not been charged.

Colorado is a much different place from when I grew up in Colorado Springs in the 60s. That was before the Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70 was drilled under 11,990’ Loveland Pass. It was before the gondola at Aspen and it was before Snowmass was founded. Vail Pass was a treacherous gravel road, and the town of Vail did not exist. It was wonderful. Our family had one of those pop-up tent trailers and we went camping several times a year. Getting there was half the fun.

Isn't it amazing how many people come to Congress having only modest means, and suddenly, once elected, grow rich? Case in point: Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar (MN-05), whose district encompasses a good slice of Minneapolis, that Mogadishu of the Midwest. She came to the office, reports have it, nearly broke. Today, she reportedly has a net worth of over $30 million. And her husband's venture capital firm has seen a sudden skyrocket to success. Now, though, as attention is focusing on this mysterious success, it seems that Omar's husband, Tim Mynett, and his company, Rose Lake Capital, are under scrutiny - and they are hurrying to scrub their books.
