State policies are a monumental factor in electricity costs, and Democrat-led states have driven prices upward through pushing aggressive mandates and choking reliable power supply, according to a new report by the Institute for Energy Research (IER). The new report (snip) found that blue states generally have higher electricity costs than red states. (snip) IER's report notes that all but one of the top 10 most expensive states for energy -- per kilowatt hour -- are governed by Democrats. In contrast, 80% of the states with the most affordable electricity costs per kilowatt hour are "reliably red," according to IER.

If there was only a way to limit energy to those who caused this (or supported the same). They could run around with their chests puffed out in pride since they know they are saving the planet. (severe eye roll)
Unfortunately, most of the populace will suffer due to the sabotaging of our energy production. I'm positive the Enemedia will blame President Trump when people start dying by the thousands due to hypothermia or heat stroke. Just like clockwork.

Colorado has untold coal and gas resources, and Excel energy's power plants are well run. So, what are they doing? They are building "renewable (solar and wind) facilities, to replace their conventionally powered electric generators. This little "project" will double electrical power prices and make us subject to the same weather that shut down the solar and wind power plants in Texas and cost the rate payers enormously to buy spot power from out of state. My plan is to install a gas-powered backup generator to avoid having to pay spot prices.

Electricity, water and sewage, which usually don't have any competition in the local area. You pay or you do without.

Leave it to the Demolishcrats. They have turned one of our most beautiful states into a vast dystopian landscape.

NOT an accident. It is intended. Modern convenient, affordable, pleasant American life offends the Green Crazies, so they work endlessly to destroy it. They want us freezing in the dark.

Thank heaven, we still have sane leaders in Georgia. After the usual seemingly unending and protracted permit and approval process, we just put reactor #2 online at Plant Vogtle. Thousands of homes and businesses will be powered by just that one reactor.

Democrats, the Party of “chaos and confusion politics.”
Next I’d like to know who is behind my crippling insurance bills, be it self, car or home, they’re each numbingly oppressive robbing us of our discretionary income.
At least by now we can see the result of MAGA-nomics on gasoline prices, getting down to $2.15 a gallon for unlimited this week.

NC has been run by RINO's in the general assembly for years and those assteroid orifaces have been drunk on solar lobbyisis money. That includes the current US Senator Tillis. For a while we had a RINO governor too (McCrory) and since his worthless assteroid, its been D governors. Duke Power has ALWAYS been more than happy to get drunk on subsidies for solar/wind.
The USofA needs to invest in Nuclear again. Its the cheapest and cleanest fuel to use.

And here in VA, all the good that Gov Youngkin accomplished with energy, education, small businesses, etc will be undone by Spanberger and her fellow Democrats because they want to run their respective states like it's North Korea: you challenge the regime and they turn off your hear in the winter. And I have never contributed to the utilities funds to help low income as most of those low income people vote Democrat - you owe me.

Surprised that not a single poster has mentioned Connecticut Electric bills mandatory public assistance charge. Google it. It's an eyeopener! Glad we left.
