State policies are a monumental factor in electricity costs, and Democrat-led states have driven prices upward through pushing aggressive mandates and choking reliable power supply, according to a new report by the Institute for Energy Research (IER). The new report (snip) found that blue states generally have higher electricity costs than red states. (snip) IER's report notes that all but one of the top 10 most expensive states for energy -- per kilowatt hour -- are governed by Democrats. In contrast, 80% of the states with the most affordable electricity costs per kilowatt hour are "reliably red," according to IER.

I have been covering the "Paper or Plastic" game since George W. Bush was president. And it's only gotten more ridiculous. First California lawmakers banned paper bags because they "killed" trees -- the ultimate renewable resource. They replaced paper with plastic bags, which they are now banning to go back to tree-killing paper bags. Or you can carry your filthy multi-use cloth bags. LOS ANGELES — Rob Reiner and his longtime wife have been found stabbed to death inside their Brentwood home in an incident that has sent shockwaves through Hollywood.
Officers were called to the home Sunday afternoon, where they discovered a man and woman with stab wounds, according to cops and sources.
