President Donald Trump recently cracked down on work requirements with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program by means of the “Big Beautiful Bill.” The policy drastically expanded work requirements for those who want to continue receiving food stamps. But Nelson Scott, a 38-year-old able-bodied man from Tennessee, called the changes “some bulls**t” in a viral interview last month with WZTV. Scott is “38, not disabled, doesn’t have any kids, doesn’t go to school, and doesn’t have a job,” all of which work against him with respect to eligibility, according to WZTV. He was previously receiving $292 per month to pay for groceries.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced Monday that five members of a pro-Palestinian extremist group had been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to carry out coordinated bombings in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve.
The “credible, imminent terrorist threat” to five locations in Los Angeles came from radical members of an offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), Patel claimed in an X post. Four of the suspects were collared in Lucerne Valley in the Mojave Desert, where the extremists allegedly were testing improvised explosives. A fifth was apprehended in New Orleans while planning a separate attack, according to the FBI boss.
Charges have yet to be announced.
The White House paid tribute to Ella Cook, the college Republican leader named as one of the student victims in the Brown University shooting.
"There are no words," said Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in a post on X. "Thinking of her family and friends, especially her parents. God please bless them." Cook was one of the two people killed after a gunman opened fire in the university’s engineering building during final exams on the Ivy League campus in Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon. LOS ANGELES — Rob Reiner and his longtime wife have been found stabbed to death inside their Brentwood home in an incident that has sent shockwaves through Hollywood.
Officers were called to the home Sunday afternoon, where they discovered a man and woman with stab wounds, according to cops and sources.
The Los Angeles Fire Department told NBC Los Angeles that a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were found dead inside the home.
