A former associate of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Timur Mindich, who owns the influential Kvartal 95 television studio, which created the popular sitcom that launched Zelensky's comedy career, has been indicted in a massive $100 million embezzlement scandal involving the control of procurement at the nuclear agency Energoatom and other state enterprises. Mindich got wind of his pending arrest and fled the country, perhaps to Israel, according to Politico. Two high-ranking cabinet ministers, Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko, who was energy minister from 2021 to 2025, and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk have also been implicated in the scheme. While there was still some fallout from the shutdown debacle, the press dutifully followed the lead of the Democrats to distract from that failure. And distract did they ever! The release of selective emails from the Jeffrey Epstein estate by the Democrats on the subcommittee had the press in overdrive, insisting that there was proof to bring down the president.
The keyword there is “insist,” as all the examples trotted out and highlighted were sorely lacking in accuracy or actual proof. But do not be swayed by the lack of evidence; take their word for it, this will cause Trump’s demise!

Many stakeholders in the resolution of the Israel-Gaza War insist that a tenuous but legitimate agreement is in place to resolve this war. The exception to this understanding is…Hamas.
Recently, an official for Hamas, Osama Hamdan, made clear in no uncertain terms, that Hamas will “negotiate” Phase 2 of the agreement. But their definition of negotiating is “stalling for time.”
In a podcast interview on November 10, Hamdan emphasized that only the first phase of the plan had been accepted, not Phase 2. Hamas has still not complied with Phase 1, which raises a number of questions:

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins on Thursday said the Trump administration is planning to have all Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) beneficiaries reapply for the program due to alleged fraud.

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot and critically wounded in Midtown early Sunday morning and is now clinging to life at Bellevue Hospital, police and sources said.
The shooting took place on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue around 2 a.m., according to police, who did not identify Boyd as the victim.
However, sources said it was the 29-year-old NFL cornerback.
Cops said there have been no arrests and the shooting is under investigation.
Boyd, a 5-11 defensive back for Gang Green joined the team this year after coming up with the Minnesota Vikings before the 2019 season. He has also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans.
If there’s any good that’s come from the government shutdown, it’s exposing all the fraud being committed to exploit the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
To be sure, there are millions of needy Americans who were hurting from being deprived of SNAP as they tried to support children and keep their families from going hungry. This is not about them. This is about the other people — the individuals who dip into this program unjustly at the expense of the taxpayer.

The Restoring Access to Detainees Act affects immigrants who are placed in Customs and Border Protection or Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities.
Sponsors of the legislation said it follows months of “credible reporting” that ICE and CBP have prevented detainees from contacting family members or legal representatives.

Several years ago, my husband Steve and I were watching TV as an American politician of Hispanic descent responded to a challenging question by an antagonistic reporter.
The politician gave such an eloquent and informed answer, sprinkling his response with historical facts, literary allusions, and even dashes of humor, that when he completed his answer, Steve said, “Damn...that is one brilliant guy!”
Reflexively, I expressed what I’ve privately suspected for ages when witnessing similar scenarios: “He’s probably Jewish!”

I saw this story out of Chicago today and it made me think of all the similar stories in places like Seattle, Portland and New York. The person in this story is a violent offender named William Livingston who has a long history of punching random women in the face and then walking away. Livingston has been arrested dozens of times and even gone to prison in the past, but no matter how many times this happens, he is always back on the street and going back to the same violent behavior. This week he was arrested yet again for two violent attacks that occurred in June.
