Fake news was working overtime on Monday by declaring, without authority, that the “full, complete” presidential pardons related to the 2020 presidential election cannot protect against bogus state charges arising from that election. Corporate media wrongly insisted that the pardon clause in the U.S. Constitution applies only to charges brought by federal prosecutors. Not so. The pardon clause states that the president “shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” Every attempt in court to narrow the scope of the pardon clause has failed.

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot and critically wounded in Midtown early Sunday morning and is now clinging to life at Bellevue Hospital, police and sources said. The shooting took place on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue around 2 a.m., according to police, who did not identify Boyd as the victim. However, sources said it was the 29-year-old NFL cornerback. Cops said there have been no arrests and the shooting is under investigation. Boyd, a 5-11 defensive back for Gang Green joined the team this year after coming up with the Minnesota Vikings before the 2019 season. He has also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans.

A former associate of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Timur Mindich, who owns the influential Kvartal 95 television studio, which created the popular sitcom that launched Zelensky's comedy career, has been indicted in a massive $100 million embezzlement scandal involving the control of procurement at the nuclear agency Energoatom and other state enterprises. Mindich got wind of his pending arrest and fled the country, perhaps to Israel, according to Politico. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins on Thursday said the Trump administration is planning to have all Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) beneficiaries reapply for the program due to alleged fraud. I saw this story out of Chicago today and it made me think of all the similar stories in places like Seattle, Portland and New York. The person in this story is a violent offender named William Livingston who has a long history of punching random women in the face and then walking away. Livingston has been arrested dozens of times and even gone to prison in the past, but no matter how many times this happens, he is always back on the street and going back to the same violent behavior. This week he was arrested yet again for two violent attacks that occurred in June.
