New York City voters are expected to elect Zohran Mamdani today to be their mayor. Do not make the mistake of thinking this is an aberration. His rise is the natural regression of the Democratic Party. While the Democratic Socialists of America don’t cotton to the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party is in league with the Democratic Socialists. Barack Obama, the titular head of a party that for the moment has no leadership otherwise, recently called Mamdani “to offer his support” and “offered to be a ‘sounding board'” for the candidate. I think we would be better served to start using precise words, terms, phrases, and other communications methods. Let’s not play the Dem game any more and monkey with the language. . To wit: the Democrat Party no longer exists. It is now the Communist Party and should be referenced as such.

Mamdani is a wolf in sheep's clothing. His mission, like all Islam, is to create a global caliphate and they are doing very well at it. They have taken over London and Paris and now they will get New York because of the dumb democrats who can't see further than "How much free stuff can I get".

It's quite bracing to consider that the useless pol, a horrible governor replaced by a worse one, whom we call "Virgil Sollozzo," or "The Legacy of Mario the Pious" is the default proper vote in this, essentially, two person race. (Curtis Sliwa is a great New Yorker, but his spoiling role will result in a communist, Islamist mayor.) If you recall the fictional Sollozzo, he didn't make it out of The Godfather's first reel. Even though I wept after 9/11/01, I'm so glad I don't live in New York.

With the never-ending swirl of action around President Donald Trump, it’s often hard to tell how voters perceive his actions. In this month’s I&I/TIPP Poll, there’s been some erosion in Trump’s scores from voters as they pause to ponder the dizzying array of issues he is tackling. With everything from military attacks on drug cartels to trying to keep the Israeli-Hamas Oct. 10 ceasefire from unraveling to going on a wide trade swing through Asia (including finalizing a trade deal with China), Trump’s October was filled with action on several prominent issues. Despite what Trump supporters might consider

"American travelers shouldn’t be held hostage by politics in Washington. It’s time to privatize air traffic control,” says Rachel Greszler in the Daily Signal. “The shutdown-induced mess at U.S. airports,” she writes, “demonstrates yet another consequence of leaving our skies in the hands of a politically driven, budget-dependent, and inefficient government bureaucracy. “It doesn’t have to be this way.” She goes on to note that “most other industrialized countries have lower-cost, more efficient air traffic control systems that are insulated from government spending battles.

The largest federal employee union wants to end the government shutdown with “no half measures, and no gamesmanship,” and is demanding that everyone get full back pay. Those who have worked without being paid should be compensated. But those who didn’t should get nothing. “It’s time to pass a clean continuing resolution and end this shutdown today,” the American Federation of Government Employees, which represents 820,000 federal workers, tweeted Monday, and “put every single federal worker back on the job with full back pay — today.” Why should government employees be paid for work they didn’t do?

Last November, voters handed control of Congress to Republicans who pledged to cut taxes and spending. In response, Democrats decided to hold the country hostage because they want to borrow and spend $1.5 trillion on illegal immigrants and well-to-do Obamacare enrollees. That is the simplest and most honest way to describe what has been going on since Oct. 1. But you’d hardly know it, given the way the shutdown is talked about. The Senate has had a chance 13 times to vote on a “continuing resolution” that would keep the government operating while lawmakers debate future spending bills, including the Democrats’ wish list.

There’s been a lot of talk in recent weeks about shrinking the federal government workforce. Is this something Americans want? Not necessarily. This month’s national online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, asked 1,459 participants: “Overall, do you think the federal workforce today is: 1) too large and should be reduced; 2) too small and should be expanded; 3) about the right size; and 4) Not sure.” The responses were nearly evenly split

When socialist Zohran Mamdani won the New York City mayoral primary, we said that the concern expressed by some Democrats was phony, because they didn’t want to admit just how far left their party had drifted. Now, they’ve given up that pretense entirely. On Friday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries endorsed socialist Mamdani, saying the 33-year-old trust fund baby “has relentlessly focused on addressing the affordability crisis and explicitly committed to being a mayor for all New Yorkers.” He’s the most senior-ranking Democrat to do so, but he joins a list that already includes

These are dangerous times in the world, both abroad and here in the U.S. And yet, here’s California’s too-slick Gov. We have no idea how the government shutdown, now in its fourth week and the second longest in history, will end, or how. But what is increasingly clear is how badly Democrats miscalculated on this one. Consider three bits of news from this week: First, the shutdown isn’t hurting Republicans. In fact, a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that President Donald Trump’s approval rating has ticked up by two points to 42% since the shutdown started. Other polls find it unchanged. The Real Clear Politics average shows Trump’s disapproval at 52%, which is down a point from the day before the shutdown started.

No. In fact, Americans overwhelmingly oppose using violence to achieve political goals, and mostly blame major political parties as equal threats to use violent tactics for the sake of political power, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. A representative sample of Americans were asked: “Do you believe that using violence to achieve political goals is ever justified?” Respondents made clear they didn’t like violence by either party. The hard-charging conservative passed away last night due to complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease. Cheney served alongside Republican President George W Bush for two terms between 2001 and 2009. He was the chief architect of the 'war on terror' and was in office on the morning of 9/11.

Dick Cheney, who died on Monday, was one of the most prominent and polarizing Republican vice presidents in history -- and in recent years a blunt-spoken critic of Donald Trump. Dick Cheney and his daughter, former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, voiced their opposition to Trump after his push to deny the 2020 election results and the pro-Trump mob attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. In 2024, Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney endorsed Democrat Kamala Harris over Trump. "In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies

The Vatican’s doctrinal office said Tuesday the titles of “Co-Redemptrix” and “Mediatrix” are not appropriate ways to describe Mary’s participation in salvation. In “Mater Populi Fidelis” (“The Mother of the Faithful People of God”), the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) said when an expression requires frequent explanation to maintain the correct meaning, it becomes unhelpful. “In this case, the expression ‘Co-redemptrix’ does not help extol Mary as the first and foremost collaborator in the work of Redemption and grace, for it carries the risk of eclipsing the exclusive role of Jesus Christ,” according to the doctrinal note, released Nov. 4.

The White House offered no public condolences Tuesday on the death of former Vice President Dick Cheney — saying flags were lowered to half-staff at the executive mansion because the law requires it. President Trump has repeatedly attacked Cheney, who died Monday at age 84, as a “warmonger” and sparred with his daughter, former Rep. Far-left Democrat Zohran Mamdani has won New York City’s mayoral race — winning a mandate to move to enact his budget-busting, socialist agenda, according to preliminary projections. The Associated Press called the race for Mamdani, 34, about 40 minutes after polls closed, and with at least a few hundred thousand votes still to be counted. Mamdani carried 50.4% of votes to Andrew Cuomo’s 41.3% at around 9:40 p.m. The projection — which came with 75% of votes counted — also found GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa with rock-bottom 7.5%. The Uganda-born Mamdani will be the Big Apple’s first Muslim and first socialist mayor, as well as one of the youngest.

I am confused by what are our norms, what are our standards, what are our traditions. I just feel like, what is important to us as a nation anymore? Because I’m lost.”
