Vice President JD Vance showed he’s got a sense of humor this Halloween—and a pretty good handle on the internet, too. While Democrats were probably workshopping their next “dark Brandon” meme in a D.C. focus group, Vance was busy winning the internet. The vice president poked fun at himself by leaning into a viral meme that’s been following him for months. In a short TikTok video filmed at the Naval Observatory, Vance appears in a dark suit and red tie, topped off with a curly brown wig to complete the look.

I'm waiting to see Chuckle's and Hakeeeem's TikTok videos ridiculing themselves. That's sure to be a long wait though because neither has a sense of humor. They most likely don't realize the wealth of material in their corrupt lives that they can use to ridicule themselves. Question: Does anyone know if Hakeeeem is able to grill burgers? Maybe the two of them can video themselves having a "grill-off". Hilarity is sure to ensue.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts announced staff reassignments on Friday in the wake of the conservative uproar over his statement defending Tucker Carlson for interviewing white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Roberts tapped the think tank’s executive vice president Derrick Morgan to serve as acting chief of staff until the end of the year. Ryan Neuhaus, who was serving in the role, was moved to be a senior adviser. He made the announcement in an email to staff late Friday with the subject line: “Heritage’s Stand Against Antisemitism and for Civilizational Truth.” The email, obtained by The Hill, opened by saying the thank tank had

British voters across the political spectrum are much more likely to hold strong views on immigration and even ethnic homogeneity than Americans, with 70 per cent of right-wing voters saying it’s bad for society “if white people decline as a share of the population”. Britons have long been considered to be comfortably to the left of their American cousins on practically all political matters. While this remains largely true, new research shows that Britons from both the left and right are considerably more forthright than their American counterparts on immigration policy questions.

Washington Post: This Democratic Shutdown

Just yesterday I said the ground beneath Democrats' feet was starting to shift on the shutdown. I also said that it was ultimately all about one thing: Would the media stop carrying water for Dems? Here was my concluding paragraph: It's not over until its over, but if just a few major news outlets decide to stop playing dumb about whose shutdown this is, Democrats will fold. It really is that simple. About five hours later, the Washington Post published an editorial titled "A turning point in the government shutdown." The Post is done pretending. This is a straight up call for Democrats to reopen the government that they shut down.

New Delhi: North Korea announced Wednesday that it successfully launched multiple sea-to-surface cruise missiles into its western waters, just hours before US President Donald Trump’s arrival in South Korea for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Gyeongju. The tests, conducted Tuesday, were described by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) as part of the regime’s ongoing effort to expand the “operational sphere” of its nuclear-armed military. KCNA reported that the missiles flew for over two hours and “accurately struck their targets,” demonstrating what it called the “advanced precision” of North Korea’s new weapon systems.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates now says climate change “will not lead to humanity’s demise,” despite having spent years fearmongering over rising global temperatures. Gates authored a surprising blog post on Monday advocating for climate activists to move away from the “doomsday outlook” they have spent years peddling. “Although climate change will have serious consequences — particularly for people in the poorest countries — it will not lead to humanity’s demise,” wrote Gates, who has spent billions of dollars on climate-related initiatives. “People will be able to live and thrive in most places on Earth for the foreseeable future.”

The president's party, La Libertad Avanza, scored 41.5% of the vote in Buenos Aires province compared with 40.8% for the Peronist coalition, according to official results. The province has long been a political stronghold for the Peronists, marking a dramatic political shift

Brandon Gill (R-Tex.) filed, thanks to explosive revelations surrounding Operation Arctic Frost—a coordinated effort that saw 197 subpoenas unleashed against Republicans in Congress and citizens during the Biden administration. The specifics make your blood boil. Then-Special Counsel Jack Smith sought Sen. Ted Cruz's communications from AT&T, and Boasberg rubber-stamped the request. But here's where it gets really ugly: Boasberg issued an order explicitly prohibiting AT&T from notifying Cruz that his records were being seized.

The crises at the heart of the government shutdown fight in Washington were coming to a head Saturday as the federal food assistance program faced delays and millions of Americans were set to see a dramatic rise in their health insurance bills. Plans by the Trump administration to freeze payments to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program on Saturday were halted by federal judges, but the delay in payouts will still likely leave millions of people short on their grocery bills.
