Zohran Mamdani Vows to Arrest Benjamin Netanyahu

Original Article

When most people think of mayoral campaign promises, they picture fixing potholes, improving schools, or reducing crime. But Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist nominee for New York City mayor, is vowing to have the NYPD arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should he dare show his face in the Big Apple. This isn't your typical political grandstanding. Mamdani wants to honor an International Criminal Court arrest warrant targeting Netanyahu for alleged war crimes in Gaza, stemming from the ongoing war that erupted after Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel. The socialist firebrand claims that Netanyahu is committing genocide

Here's a thought. Let Netanyahu come to NYC to attend the UNGA meeting. If Mamdani messes with him, arrest HIM for interfering with Federal governance and put a sedition charge on him..

First of all, since he has already called NYPD corrupt and racist, I don't see any officer following this unlawful order. I am sure that the DOJ would have something to say about a mayor arresting the head of a sovereign nation. Can you say federal prison boys and girls?

Since when can a Mayor issue arrest warrants? The ICC has no jurisdiction in the USA, he is not an authorized servant of that "court" anyway. (I am glad however he has made such a statement, it should certainly alter his chances of being elected...maybe not enough to stop it, but...maybe, maybe it can)

If Netanyahu comes to the USA he will have a diplomatic visa (A-1) that would make it impossible, because of diplomatic immunity, for any US Mayor to arrest him or otherwise interfere with his visit. Any attempt to do so would be stopped by the US Federal Government, including by arresting that Mayor. Mamdani was just politically grandstanding.

FTA: "But Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist nominee for New York City mayor, is vowing to have the NYPD arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should he dare show his face in the Big Apple." Despite yet another completely misleading headline, Mamdani has already distanced himself from personal proximity to the arrest ritual, delegating the details and risks to the NYPD, an outfit he already hates and wishes to disband. He's just shoring up the illegal alien Muslim community votes. He might find out the hard way that his communist benefactors in Russia and China would rather kill, imprison, or enslave their internal Muslims and their Muslim regional neighbors than support them. At some point, Mamdani needs to decide if he needs to go full Sharia or full commy; he can't do both and keep his head attached to his body. I'd bet on him ultimately going full Sharia, thanks to Obama and Biden intentionally importing a critical mass of Jihadi foot soldiers into the U.S. and Mamdani's love for his own talking head.

I'll bet Netanyhu is champing at the bit to fly in, stay at the Israeli embassy, and WALK the one city block to the UN, back and forth at least twice a day. As well as inviting Mandami to come walk WITH him, if he dares.(people may think such a thing, surrounded by high rise buildings, with a thousand windows that could hold a sniper might be dangerous...but in fact there are scaffolds over all the sidewalks, solid enough to stop, bricks, stone sections, and massive iceblocks falling off the buildings in the winter, essentially bullet proof, being in a vehicle is actually more exposed)

A dozen or so years ago, the magazine rack at your grocery store was your cheat code for popular culture: The covers revealed EXACTLY where we were as a country. After all, magazine editors chose their covers to maximize sales. Which meant that the cover photos (and cover stories) were kind of like mini billboards, advertising whatever content was most meaningful to their target audience. For marketers and/or propagandists, it provided invaluable insight. But no longer. Today, paper-and-ink magazines are deader than the dodo. They’re the equivalent of vinyl records: Some people still swear by ‘em, but they’re no longer mainstream. Instead, we’ve gotta look at digital headlines.

As President Donald Trump tries to force Lisa Cook out of her job at the Federal Reserve, her lawyers have pointed to a similar event in history — one where the president lost at the Supreme Court. On October 7, 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt fired William E. Humphrey from his post at the Federal Trade Commission. The reason was purely political: The president wanted someone who could advance his priorities.. "I do not feel that your mind and my mind go along together," Roosevelt told Humphrey in a letter. His term at the FTC was supposed to last until 1938. When Humphrey refused to resign, Roosevelt fired him.

The University of California, Los Angeles has placed its controversial race and equity director, Johnathan Perkins, on leave after he celebrated conservative commentator Charlie Kirk's assassination in a series of social media posts. Perkins, a veteran diversity consultant who worked in the Office of the General Counsel at Harvard University before joining UCLA in 2019, took to left-wing X copycat Bluesky on Friday to disparage Kirk. In one post, he responded to a user who called Kirk the right's "Rush Limbaugh replacement" with the message, "Yup. Good riddance, both."
