Authorities in Bermuda said Tuesday that they arrested four U.S. cruise ship passengers accused of drug possession.
Police said in a statement that the suspects had a “significant quantity of illegal drugs” including cannabis and carfentanil, which experts say is 100 times more potent than fentanyl and is used to tranquilize elephants.
“This seizure may have prevented a potential tragedy,” said acting Detective Superintendent Derricka Burns.
The suspects also were accused of possessing vape pens and suspected THC gummies.
Bermuda police said security officers aboard a Carnival cruise ship had detained the suspects.
California’s new $20-per-hour minimum wage for fast food workers has resulted in a significant decline in employment in that sector, leading to 18,000 fewer jobs than would have been the case otherwise.

An appeals court has overturned a New Jersey sanctuary law that attempted to ban state and local agencies, as well as private contractors, from partnering with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to detain illegal aliens in detention centers.
On Tuesday, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that New Jersey’s law, known as AB 5207, “interferes with the federal government’s core power to enforce immigration laws” by banning state and local agencies and private contractors from working with ICE to operate detention centers for illegal aliens.

A little boy in Newaygo County, Michigan, was pulled back from the brink of death on Saturday thanks to the quick action of a state trooper.
After a call came in about the four-year-old not breathing after he was found face down in water, Michigan State Police (MSP) Trooper Casey Deater arrived at the scene on East 88th Street, WWMT reported on Tuesday.
During a recent interview, Deater told WWJ the child was pulled out of the water near a dock and “I just remember running as fast as I could” with a device used for CPR. [Tweets]

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested an illegal alien with a lengthy rap sheet, totaling 21 prior criminal convictions.
On Tuesday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials announced the arrest of several illegal aliens, including 52-year-old Federico Fong-Nunez of Mexico.
Fong-Nunez has been convicted of 21 different crimes in Boulder, Colorado, including burglary, aggravated assault, and felony menacing.

It’s always amusing to me who Democrats view as being their “star” at any given moment. That the person the party has chosen to elevate changes daily tells you just how screwed they know they are. As such, I figured I’d highlight who they’re flying as a test candidate from time to time, as they pop up like a cold sore on a hooker. This week it’s Secretary Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Hunter Biden really walked smack into it when he “crashed out” during a YouTube interview with Andrew Callaghan that was released today. Now, when you look at the data, Hunter is of course completely wrong: statistically, whites commit the fewest crimes…by far. And, if you were to remove all the blacks and Hispanics included in those “white” crime statistics, that number no doubt falls drastically.
However, in one sense, Hunter is right on the money: White men are significantly more likely to commit a crime…if you’re a white man like a Biden.
