Elon Musk Announces The Creation of a
Third Party

Original Article

Elon Musk, the richest man with visions of grandeur, has announced the creation of a new political party, “The America Party”.(Tweet)With President Donald Trump capturing the overwhelming majority of middle-America within the new MAGA movement; essentially taking over the Republican party apparatus, I would consider that Musk’s assembly will likely be a collection of never-trumpers, alligator emojis and disgruntled former Republicans. The impact is undetermined, but the assembly itself was entirely predictable. Watch Larry Ellison.

Toyed with for years but based on countries with multiple parties, it never works out to anyone's satisfaction. It's possible that 60-70 % of the voters will be disappointed because their single issues weren't realized. With our 2 parties, at least we can focus without have multiple fronts.

Third parties are historically destructive. Just look at Europe to see what happens. Or, here, more recently, Ross Perot and his political play. I would have rather seen Elon work to primary the Rino's and clean up the Republican Party. Many everyday Americans have more in common with Republicans than they do with the current Democrats.

I loved Elon when he was working with Trump, but I don't like Him being someone who is trying to hurt Trump. That is exactly what Elon will do with His new Party! If Elon wants to do good things, he should go to Trump and say "How can I help". How about using his Smarts and Money to take down the Muslim wanting to be Mayor of NY. Elon could do good works there! I don't like to see him messing with the Good thing Trump has going for Our Country! He's on a Roll! Let him Slash and Burn more and more! Let him pound the Democrats into the Ground. Be a Partner to Trump again. I know it's hard for Two Bosses to work together because they Both want to be in charge, but try to work it out. You could do great things together!

I just want a party that actually governs. Not holding my breath. What we have are parties that line their pockets and buy votes. They spend money they do not have. This won't change as long as a majority of people support one party or another. Will Elon Musk's party be any different?

#7: I think Elon's party will draw away a bigger percentage of Democrats -- the sane ones -- than it will Republicans. That means Republicans will have the bigger plurality and will thus win Congressional elections and the electoral college for the presidency. Ross Perot's foray into politics in 1992 served to hurt Republicans because he drew more of them than he did Democrats, and Bill Clinton won the 1992 election with an EV landslide but only 43% of the popular vote. Elon may be a tech genius, but in politics he's closer to a fool. And you know what is said about fools and money.... End result will be further diminution of a Democrat party that is already self-destructing and Elon spreading his wealth around. I see nothing not to like...

My inclination is to join, and leave the RINOs and subversives behind. But, I don't think he thought this through. He's a hard science guy and politics is soft science, like psychology. We have a chance to clean out the Republican party. It's changed, a lot. There are hangers on, like Murkowski, in Alaska, but they are known and we can work against them, primarying them. If we jump ship, the GOP will simply spiral back to the RINOs, and elections will be screwed up, like national ranked choice voting. Want to screw up the country? That's a good place to start. And what's to keep BLM, Anti Fa and other subversices, infiltrating and suborning? Nothing. Elon's heart is in the right place, but I'd need to see how he keeps the movement pure.

Elon has enough to do and needs to stay out if politics. I don't know what happened between him and the President but Musk is but they need to make peace and get on with it. A third party will only hamper the efforts we are making to turn this country around and get us under debt?

I tend to agree with #9, but for slightly different reasons. The Left is so deranged, a number of them would flock to the party to "hurt" Trump and Republicans, but all they'd do is divide the Dem vote. The few remaining sane Dems would also be more likely to join than the Rinos. Rinos don't like Trump, or the American people, but they know they are only relevant as Rinos. The left would never accept them, and they know a third-party party is going nowhere at this point in history.

Curious where Elon plans to find honest politicians who will do what they say they will do. Perhaps The America Party politicians will pledge to only serve one or two terms (if Senators) and three or four terms (if Representatives). Even if they do nothing else they may start a trend that couldn't start any other way.

I don't like it for a few reasons, one being, I don't like the premise. This was born more out of anger than to doing good. That said, There is nothing to this as yet. Elon is at the top of his empire but it doesn't look as if he plays well with others, that does work well in politics. Until Elon works out the platform/policies and starts naming names it's just talk. The theory doesn't make good sense to me. Best case Elon wins on the numbers, what then? It's not going to be a clean sweep. How is he going to pull together the number of votes needed from the other two parties to get anything done? It's early, I believe any people he brings on board will educate him about how politics work. Visions of grandeur indeed. You can't buy a political party, but if you could it would be a monarchy not a republic. How did that turn out? You can buy individuals and there are many politicians that can attest to that with there bank accounts.

We have the Libertarian Party, Greens, other parties that are unable to get on the ballot, and independents. Musk will get the following his money can buy. I have wondered how Musk runs his companies for the $200 million compensation Delaware would not allow, with all his time engaged in texting, politics, romantic affairs, and children.

Not very savvy on Musk’s part. First, yes he has a lot of money to throw around, but that’s not enough. Second, you need a strong paryy leader who can run for President at the top of the ticket. Musk is not eligible to do that. Road to nowhere.

Brilliant people do stupid things. We have Ross Perot to thank for Bill Clinton's presidency. Third parties in our political system serve only as spoilers, splitting support from one of the two main parties. In my lifetime, I've never seen one that pulled many from the Democrats. Perot was devastating to the GOP. We can only hope that Elon is so toxic now that his party won't attract many.

Anyone who insists on being in a party that consists of only people who agree with him on every issue will find himself in a perpetually losing party of one. Persuade who you can and support the candidate closest to your views that has a reasonable chance of winning. Compromise (on issues, not principles) when necessary and play the long game. It's hard to see how supporting a third party formed by a sore loser is playing the long game.

Elon is not stupid though he is definitely angry. He knows a third party hasn't a prayer of winning an election, but he hopes to punish the GOP for yet another debt-raising budget bill which more than undid the DOGE efforts. My concern is the same as several earlier posters. If Elon is successful, the unintended result will be to hand political control back to the 'Rats. Elon's big thing appears to be fiscal responsibility. That is, cutting cost, balancing the budget and staving off national bankruptcy. Noble goals indeed. As the Democ'RATs purpose is to bankrupt the nation by giving away Free Stuff to the gimme-dats (one half of the Democ'RAT base) and feeding the bloated bureaucracy to employ and pay off the leftist fools who majored in Gender Studies and similar useless subjects (the other half of the Democ'RAT base), NONE of these 'RATS are going to join Elon. No, I think the people who join Elon are those who want to cut costs, mostly MAGA people. I am concerned that this will split what is currently the Republican party. As many others have pointed out, this is a repeat of Ross Perot drawing voters away from the Republicans, particularly George H.W. Bush, and handing the Presidency to Clinton the HornDog. This harmed America with the Horndog's activities in office, where the ChiComs 'acquired' the designs for America's newest miniaturized atomic warheads, the W87 and W88, along with Clinton making it possible for the Chicoms to purchase the guidance systems to put satellites into orbit -these same systems, with different programming, can be used to guide ICBM's to their targets. In addition, the name recognition from being the HornDog's wife enabled the HildeBeast to become the carpetbagging Senator from New York, and later Zero's Secretary of State and later the 'Rat presidential candidate. She not only caused a trail of destruction throughout the Middle East, but later paid (through cut-outs) for the whole 'Russia Hoax', the 'Steele Dossier' and the rest, that prevented President Trump from doing many things he wanted to do during his first term. This is not governing the nation. This is the Politics of Personal Destruction. Anyway, I believe Elon would be much wiser to work to strengthen the MAGA movement within the Republican party, assisting electable candidates at the Republican primary level who are both fiscally responsible and charismatic, then presenting a strong, united Party to oppose and overpower the Democ'RAT party, which has been taken over by Communists. Remember Lenin's words: :The Surest Way to Attack the Capitalist State is to Debauch the Currency." Up until 1973, an ounce of gold was worth $35. Today, an ounce of gold is worth $3,318. Using the comparison to gold, today's Dollar is worth roughly 1/100 of what it was 52 years ago. It sounds like the Communists' 'Debauch the Currency' campaign is moving right along.

Elon: The problem with Congress' inability and/or desire to make more cuts in federal programs is that too many Americans want all the free stuff. They don't care that their children and grandchildren will be paying for what they receive today - it's gimme gimme, you owe me. Just look at wailing about the supposed "cuts" to Medicaid. It's not cuts but simply an attempt to limit only those legitimate recipients of receiving Medicaid and requiring those able bodied adults from working or looking for work or volunteering or taking a job training for 80 hours a month in order to receive Medicaid. Why don't you broadcast that on your X account instead of attacking Trump.

Billionaire businesspeople seeking political influence, if not actually running for office, usually at the highest level of government, are always newsworthy; however, I don't recall seeing CTH commentary from October 1999, announcing that Trump, at the urging of Jesse Ventura, had left the GOP to join Perot's Reform Party and seek its nomination as presidential candidate for the 2000 election. I do recall Trump stating to Larry King that his preference for VP would be Oprah Winfrey: "I love Oprah. Oprah would always be my first choice." After receiving upwards of 15,000 votes in the California primary, Trump decided to bail on the 2000 race and the Reform Party, joining and financially supporting the democrat party, until rejoining the GOP in 2009. Trump had publicly flirted with running as a third party candidate in 2012, before endorsing Mitt Romney. After Obama's re-election, Trump quickly became the GOP front-runner for 2016, but Oprah sided with Hilary in the general election.

The intransigent European Union is hitting a dead end with immovable Trump on the issue of tariffs. The resulting dynamic is what we would expect given 75 years of the Marshall Plan (European Recovery Plan) as part of the EU’s only point of reference. In order for the EU to maintain its socialistic form of government, it needs to continue the economic benefits from one-way tariffs that exploits the American consumer market. President Trump’s plan to force reciprocity is against its entire economic foundation. The EU simply cannot fathom life without the status quo.

The justices are set to hear challenges to laws in Idaho and West Virginia after lower court rulings in sided with transgender students who sued when they were blocked from competing. “I am optimistic that after hearing the case, the Supreme Court will restore sanity to athletics and allow West Virginia to enforce its commonsense law that prevents boys from competing in girl’s sports,” Mountain State Gov. A former Houston mayoral appointee raged at a Texas girls camp for being “white-only’’ — hours after deadly flooding ripped through the facility, killing at least five young campers and leaving 11 more missing. “I know I’m going to get cancelled for this, but Camp Mystic is a white-only girls’ Christian camp. They don’t even have a token Asian. They don’t have a token Black person. It’s an all-white, white-only conservative Christian camp,” Sade Perkins said in a widely condemned video on her private TikTok account. “If you ain’t white you ain’t right, you ain’t gettin’ in, you ain’t goin’. Period,” Perkins said —

In a dissent of a Supreme Court ruling, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor said: "Today's order clarifies only one thing: Other litigants must follow the rules, but the administration has the Supreme Court on speed dial." Justice Sotomayor made this statement in her dissent from the ruling allowing for migrants to be deported to countries they are not from. In her dissent, which she wrote with Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, she said that this would result in the government "deporting noncitizens to potentially dangerous countries without notice or the opportunity to assert a fear of torture."Those

One of the fascinating things about following leftists on social media is that they are lemmings. The order goes out that all must put up a specific meme and, suddenly, all do. That’s why my long-ago high school classmates (99% of whom are leftists), suddenly started posting a variation of a meme insisting that Leviticus—a part of the Bible that is so dear to conservative hearts—mandates accepting illegal aliens. Naturally, these leftists, who wouldn’t recognize the Bible if it bit them, are completely wrong. The most popular version of this meme, the one with almost 6 million views, came from Devin Duke:

On Friday, he tendered his resignation, which is effective July 20, per his letter to GOP leadership.
