Just Bomb Iran Already

I know it’s not fashionable among some on the right, but we have a moral and strategic obligation to attack Iran right now. Not later. Not down the road, after more bogus negotiations with these glorified bazaar merchants who specialize in stringing along credulous Westerners until they get what they want. Today. We have the forces in place, and if we don’t do it, they’re going to end up with the bomb. They cannot end up with the bomb. They’ll use it. It’s hard to mutually assure destruction with a psychotic death cult.

Comments:

C'mon Kurt, tell us what you really think. Seriously, no dancing around the issue with this guy. And I would be willing to bet that this president is not going to let Iran get the bomb on his watch. Which means that what the author advocates, action soon, may already have been decided.

We should use deep penetrator bombs to knock those things out. May cause a small, highly localized leak of radioactive materials.....but 99% or more will be buried deep underground forever.

Would be funny to call it "Operation McCain" ... in memory of the late US Senator who once advocated (during his losing 2008 presidential campaign against Obie-wan) bombing Iran with the song "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" sung to music for the Beach Boys' tune "Barbara Ann"...

Yesterday, Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the 5–4 majority that ruled against President Trump in the case of Department of State v. AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition. This has occasioned a great deal of criticism of Barrett from the right — to the point at which many commentators have felt comfortable describing her as a “mistake,” or even as a “DEI hire.” Top Stories The Supreme Court Should Not Encourage a One-Judge Constitutional Crisis The Reality of Trump’s Executive Order to Abolish the Education Department Divided on Strategy, Democrats Keep Playing into Trump’s Hands: ‘We’re Coming Off as So Clueless’ This is nonsense. There’s a famous quote on the subject of judicial power — that is, real judicial power, and not just the imagined kind that we’ve grown accustomed to accepting in a legalistic society. It comes courtesy — though we’re told it’s an apocryphal quotation — of Andrew Jackson, our 7th president. Jackson was informed of the Supreme Court’s decision in an 1832 case, Worcester v. Georgia, which involved a complicated set of circumstances by which a missionary to the Cherokee Nation was imprisoned for violating a state law that he claimed was non-binding on sovereign Indian territory.

President Trump ordered the Secret Service on Friday to provide him “every bit of information” about his two would-be assassins. “I’m entitled to know,” he told The Post. “I want to find out about the two assassins. . . . Why did the one guy have six cell phones and why did the other guy have [foreign] apps?“No more holding back because of Biden. . . . I’m entitled to know. And they held it back long enough. “No excuses. Six cellphones were allegedly found in the car of Ryan Routh, the 59-year-old suspect in the second assassination attempt on Trump last September ....

Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) claimed Friday on MSNBC’s “The Reid Out” that Elon Musk and President Donald Trump were conducting a “rapidly expanding and accelerating coup.” Raskin said, “If the courts move with dispatch, they might be able to prevent a lot of damage from being inflicted. But nobody should normalize what’s going on here. We’ve got the wealthiest man in the world who cannot be president because he was born in apartheid South Africa and then made his way to Canada and then to America because he can’t be president, except if he can buy himself a de facto presidency . . .

The Monday headline on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the New York Times said, unintentionally, exactly what is wrong with the GOP Establishment’s response to former President Donald Trump. The headline: DeSantis Bluntly Acknowledges Trump’s 2020 Defeat: ‘Of Course He Lost’ The Times reports this: Mr. DeSantis, who is polling well behind Mr. Trump for the Republican presidential nomination, had acknowledged on Friday that the former president’s false theories about a rigged 2020 election were “unsubstantiated.” Say what? Allegations that the 2020 election were rigged are “unsubstantiated.” Really?

Of course, Ron DeSantis can come back and win. Anybody in the race can win – we saw Trump come back in 2016 when most everyone wrote him off in the general. Now it’s the Florida governor’s turn to be written off, but he’s not exactly in the same place that Trump was. DeSantis is a strong second right now. For him, it’s not a matter of a miracle happening, threading a bunch of needles to win the general when rational betters would bet against you like in 2016. No, Ron DeSantis has a plan, and there’s a method to his muddling through.

I floated an idea about the relative value of having Ron DeSantis in the GOP presidential race in a Facebook post a little over a week ago, and for whatever reason it was one of the few things I’ve put on that platform that hasn’t been suppressed in the past several months. [Snip] Bear in mind, I’m not suggesting that you have to vote for DeSantis. I’m simply advocating for the positive properties of having DeSantis around as at least a second option in this presidential race on the Republican side. And I’m a Vivek Ramaswamy fan. I’ve loved most of what Ramaswamy has said on the campaign trail.

At a town hall in New Hampshire, Ron DeSantis was asked how he will respond when Trump starts belittling him and name-calling in personal attacks on the debate stage. His answer was a glimmer that the Ron DeSantis we’ve been waiting to show up on the campaign trail is still there. Is he finally waking up? The question now is whether or not it is too late to make a difference. DeSantis pointed out what many Republican voters think – the way Trump speaks is not presidential. [Snip] A majority of voters don’t want a Trump-Biden re-match.

Faced with a historically unpopular president overseeing a weak economy and promoting left-wing “Bidenomics,” Republicans have a golden opportunity in 2024. The election couldn’t be more winnable. And the only thing that should matter for Republicans is actually winning it. While there is a sense that Donald Trump has become a frontrunner in the Republican primaries, there is just as much of a sense that he can’t win a general election—not anymore. Here's the hard truth: If Trump secures the Republican nomination, Joe Biden will be re-elected. But, if Ron DeSantis becomes the nominee, then the Democrats have little to no chance.

Disturbing video has captured the moment a massive brawl broke out among Carnival Cruise ship passengers in Texas — resulting in more than a dozen people being banned from the cruise liner for life. The violence erupted as scores of passengers were disembarking from the Carnival Jubilee when it docked in Galveston on Saturday following a week-long Caribbean jaunt, according to footage shared on social media. “It went down this morning,” said Trelle Ray, who shared the clip on Facebook. The footage showed multiple passengers barging past barriers to trade blows. At one point, a man was shoved to the floor before a handful of others started violently pummeling him.

In his final act as pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, Francis, in keeping with his deep commitment to the climate and well-cultivated image of personal humility, could have foregone a papal funeral. To the thousands of world leaders and dignitaries flying to Rome as required by international protocol, Pope Francis could have extended an invitation to stay home. He could have ordered he not lie in state, preventing the Vatican pilgrimage of hundreds of thousands of faithful to pay their respects. He could have even skipped the motorcade through the streets of Rome. All this, as a memorable gesture to maintain a smaller carbon footprint — one last gift

A bill that would decriminalize welfare fraud under $25,000 in California for simple administrative errors is being pushed by a Democratic lawmaker. State Sen. Lola Smallwood-Cuevas introduced Senate Bill 560, which would delete criminal penalties for welfare fraud below $25,000, and delete a provision for criminal penalties for any attempt at welfare fraud below $950, according to the legislation, which was introduced in February. "California’s safety net should lift families up, not trap them in poverty," Smallwood-Cuevas told Fox News Digital. "Right now, a missed deadline or paperwork mistake can lead to felony charges that tear families apart — even when there’s no intent to deceive."

Spain’s power network has remained silent on the actual cause of Europe’s worst power blackout in a generation, but has acknowledged that it is “very possible” that a problem with solar power systems may have contributed to the failure. A freak weather incident was blamed on Monday for a massive power cut that affected the entire Iberian Peninsula, depriving Spain and Portugal of electricity. However, this narrative was quickly questioned by energy industry insiders, and Spain’s national energy company now acknowledges that renewable power failure may have been a contributing factor.

It wasn’t long ago that a California governor made it clear that oil refineries were not welcome in his state. Then another California governor asked regulators to loosen the chains on refineries to ensure that they will be profitable and remain in the state that every day burns an enormous volume of gasoline. Actually, it is the same governor, one who has turned his attention from playing to his hard-left, blue-state constituency to shifting toward the middle for a 2028 White House run. It was just last summer when Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a “plan to prevent Big Oil ‘profit spikes’” that would also “save Californians money at the pump.”

I realize this may blow Democrats' minds, but 100 days into President Donald Trump’s second term, most of the millions of Americans who cast their vote for him are still happy they did. And Trump has not been twiddling his thumbs in these first months back in the Oval Office. There’s plenty to like or dislike, from his large number of executive orders to his federal cost-cutting bonanza with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. So, it’s telling that a recent poll shows the vast majority of Trump supporters would vote for him again now, if given the opportunity for a do-over.

A cardinal symptom of TDS is the characterization of Trump as Adolf Hitler and a Nazi. The left, not noticeably given to introspection or critical thinking, obviously fails to recognize its own Nazism. A fundamental tenet of Nazism is that all power be vested in the state. Similarly, the Democrat party strives to establish a government that controls society via regulations and central planning — the Green New Deal, E.V. mandates, vaccination mandates, socialized medicine, wealth redistribution, community planning, public education, judicial activism, Obama’s “Life of Julia”, erosion of competing allegiance to family and faith

The first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s second administration have revealed at least one unmistakable truth. In short, the federal judiciary poses a serious threat to the freedom of the American people. On Monday, according to The Washington Times, the U.S. Supreme Court announced that it would not take up a case involving a challenge to a sweeping and patently unconstitutional California gun-control law. Incredibly, California law bans gun shows on state property, including fairgrounds. The plaintiffs in B&L Productions v. Gavin Newsom had asked SCOTUS to provide relief by blocking the law — already upheld by the notoriously liberal 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals — and then hearing arguments. But
