President Donald Trump became the second commander-in-chief ever to serve two non-consecutive terms on Monday. He was sworn in for a second time following two failed assassination attempts and an unprecedented campaign to imprison him.
“The golden age of America begins right now,” Trump said. “From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again all over the world.” The president vowed to transform the nation into the “envy of every nation” beginning with a series of executive orders and efforts intended to unleash the economy, dismantle the leviathan of the administrative state, restore American patriotism, and embark on a new era of exploration in space.

Trump signed executive orders to withdraw from the China-dominated World Health Organization and trash federal DEI programs. The Trump transition team released a lengthy statement and compilation of today's orders: Today, after being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, President Donald J. Trump began taking aggressive and decisive action to make good on the promises he made to the American people during the campaign.

There’s no other word for the sheer ambition and scope of President Donald Trump’s second inaugural address.
Trump is back, with all the confidence of a man delivered from death for a purpose.
Voters saved his political life and legacy by reelecting him in the face of every accusation and criminal charge against him. Trump has been given a second chance — by God and the country alike — and his address left no doubt he intends to use it to transform America.
“The future is ours, and our golden age has just begun,” he promised.

The old Washington advice that Americans should watch what a president does and not what he says needs an urgent update.
Donald Trump intends to say and do the very same things.
That was the message and meaning of his unorthodox inauguration speech.
He sat in the Oval Office before and the four years he spent trying to get back there have given him plenty of time to decide what he wants to do. The result is that his 30-minute address wasn’t one of those that is chock full of soaring rhetoric that reaches for the sky but-

Among the first, most urgent, orders of business for President Donald J. Trump should be to create a Maganomics "Manhattan Project" to develop a nuclear fusion reactor superior to China's tokamak.
Communist China, which has a head-start, has just helped place a tokamak in Thailand.
This century's great clean-energy revolution is science's newest frontier: producing inexpensive, unlimited energy through nuclear fusion. It is done in containers, called tokamaks, giant nuclear reactors to make and store it. Smaller reactors "barely 3 feet across" are already being developed in the US, including one in Idaho and two in northern Nevada.

President Donald Trump will be sworn in Monday with ambitious goals for his first day in office and first 100 days.
The major focus will be on securing the border and combating illegal immigration. But restoring the economy, and curbing crime are also high on his agenda, based on his remarks as a candidate before November, as well as president-elect after Election Day.
“You are going to see something tomorrow. You’re going to see executive orders that are going to make you extremely happy, lots of them,” Trump told the crowd at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

As the United States is just less than 48 hours away from a second Trump administration, illegal immigrants have resorted to “self-deporting” themselves as President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House. With Trump’s promise to crackdown on illegal immigration looms, fears of mass deportations and stricter border enforcement under Trump’s second term have many illegal aliens opting to leave the U.S. voluntarily. This comes as illegal immigrants appear to be afraid of Trump’s harsh consequences of a renewed immigration policy.

A daughter of ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped into outgoing first lady Jill Biden over the weekend — seemingly comparing her to Shakespeare’s power-hungry, ruthless Lady MacBeth.
The Dem first lady recently took a swipe at Pelosi over the Democratic mutiny against President Biden last summer, and Alexandra Pelosi, the lefty California congresswoman’s daughter, responded by saying her mom is actually one of the few friends Joe Biden has left.
“If I was Lady McBiden, I’d put on my big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husband’s legacy,” Alexandra snipped to Politico on Saturday.

The ceasefire-hostage deal does not require Hamas to disarm or cede control over the Gaza Strip.... The terrorist group seems to be convinced that the deal will enable it to keep control of the Gaza Strip and prepare for more massacres of Jews.
Shortly after the ceasefire-hostage deal was announced on January 15, Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya made it clear that his group intends to pursue its Jihad against Israel.
The new US administration, to avoid more violence and bloodshed, must insist that Hamas be removed from power.
This can only be accomplished by applying pressure and sanctions on Hamas's Qatari and Iranian sponsors.

That’s what our purportedly most astute and seasoned political commentators would have you believe about the ceasefire agreement that was reached just a day or so ago between Hamas and Israel.
These pearl-clutching, handwringing, anxiety filled savants have now become 2025’s Doomsday Squad. But it sounds to me like they all participated in the same Zoom session, so similar are their dire messages and predictions.
And so wrong-headed!
The esteemed Harvard Law professor emeritus, Alan Dershowitz, opined that “it wasn’t a deal; it was a crime.”
“This was not the result of a negotiation between equals. If an armed robber puts a gun to your head and says, ‘your money or your life,’

The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel will go into effect in less than 24 hours, said Qatar’s foreign ministry on Saturday.
In a post on X, Qatar’s foreign minister Majid al-Ansari, said the ceasefire will start at 8:30 a.m. (0630 GMT) Sunday. He advised people to exercise caution when the agreement goes into effect and wait for directions from officials.
Early Saturday morning, Israel’s Cabinet approved the deal for a ceasefire in Gaza that would release dozens of hostages and pause the 15-month war with Hamas, bringing the sides a step closer to ending their deadliest and most destructive fighting ever.

The Israeli security cabinet has officially approved the long-awaited cease-fire deal with Hamas, putting a pause to the fighting in Gaza and allowing for the release of dozens of hostages held captive by the terrorist group for 15 months.
The 11 voting members of the security cabinet approved the deal with a simple majority vote, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The full, 33-member Israeli cabinet will meet to approve the agreement at 3:30 p.m. local time (8:30 a.m. ET).
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet and the Israeli government accepted the peace agreement after negotiators for the Jewish state and Hamas signed off on the deal.
