A day after the January 6th protests at the Capitol, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham addressed a joint session of Congress on the Senate floor:
"Trump and I, we've had a hell of a journey. I hate it to end this way. Oh my God, I hate it… All I can say is a count me out."
Why should Graham's speech matter? Simply because Graham, who is a human manifestation of a chameleon, assumed, like other D.C. swamp rats, that after the January 6th 'insurrection,' it was the end of Trump. Hence, he ceased all pretense of supporting Trump and explicitly declared his abandonment of the man whose endorsement

Politico global editor-in-chief John F. Harris argued in a new piece that President Donald Trump’s second victory proves that he has dominated American politics so thoroughly that he will likely be counted among the country’s most consequential leaders.
Harris clarified that he was not describing Trump as a righteous or evil character, nor was he saying that Trump has been a successful president, but he reiterated that his impact is monumental either way.
"He is a force of history," Harris declared in his column published Tuesday.

The Trump administration has reportedly reassigned more than a dozen career Justice Department officials, including one who played a central role in pushing for the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago.
The new assignments – given to at least 15 longtime officials – will see the federal employees remain within DOJ but in the roles where they are expected to wield less influence on the department’s major decision, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.
Some officials were notified they were being transferred just hours after President Trump was sworn-in on Monday, according to the outlet.

The Trump administration will be placing all federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) officials on paid leave by the end of the business day Wednesday, a document from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) says.
The OPM memo, which is being sent to the executive agencies as a result of President Donald Trump’s executive order “Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEl Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions,” instructs agency heads to tell all DEI employees that they are being placed on leave immediately.
“Send a notification to all employees of DEIA offices that they are being placed on paid administrative leave effective immediately

President Donald Trump revealed that he plans to visit North Carolina in the upcoming days, noting that the state had been “abandoned by the Democrats” in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Trump revealed to reporters that he would be visiting Los Angeles, California — which recently faced several destructive wildfires, and he would also be visiting North Carolina and Nevada. “We’re going to take care of Los Angeles, I’m going there — I’m going to North Carolina, which has been abandoned by the Democrats,” Trump said. “And, I’m going to North Carolina very importantly first, I’ll be there on Friday, and then I’m going from there to Los Angeles, and then

Pete Hegseth’s nomination to be the next secretary of defense would be a partisan vote, advancing to the Senate on a 14-13 vote from the Armed Services Committee. The Democrats failed to derail one of President Trump’s top picks, but that doesn’t mean there will be Hail Mary attempts to stop Hegseth. We have another character assassination attempt at the zero hour, where the ex-wife of Hegseth’s brother alleges a bunch of nonsense that’s so laughable it’s not worthy of being mentioned. Read the NBC News article, but notice how they bury the most important part of the story [emphasis mine]:

Imagine you are one of those gullible people who believed mentions of a Biden crime family was a Republican fever dream and a sinister plot to smear an honest, devoted father, his surviving son and other relatives.
You refused to watch the congressional hearings showing vast sums of foreign money were deposited in Biden family checking accounts because The New York Times and CNN said there was nothing to see there.
You also believed Joe’s claim that son Hunter’s abandoned laptop full of incriminating evidence was Russian disinformation because most of the media echoed him, but you were later surprised to learn

Republican strategist Scott Jennings told a CNN panel Monday that many Black Lives Matter rioters avoided punishment in 2020 after liberal commentators complained about pardons President Donald Trump issued to participants of the riot at the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021.
Trump issued a blanket pardon Monday to more than 1,500 people convicted of crimes surrounding the storming of the Capitol building during the certification of the electoral votes on Jan. 6, 2021. Jennings reminded former Obama administration officials David Axelrod and Van Jones, who claimed the Jan. 6 rioters received insufficient punishment, that many of the participants in the Capitol riot had their lives “ruined,” but

The man who was previously photographed with would-be assassin Ryan Routh and later honored by Joe Biden with the Presidential Medal of Freedom has released a statement following his firing by former President Donald Trump.
As Cullen Linebarger reported earlier, former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Tuesday morning to announce the termination of the first four individuals from his predecessor’s administration upon taking office.
The firings, executed in signature “Apprentice-style” fashion, come as no surprise to conservatives, particularly one certain infamous general.

By any measure, 2024 was not a good year to be a Democrat. You had Joe Biden's dementia that you had tried so hard to cover up exposed during a presidential debate. Then, Nancy Pelosi tried to help you and shivved Joe Biden out the door. Then your replacement candidate, who would have been so many "firsts," turned out to be a word salad aficionado, often making Joe Biden look coherent. Finally, when you tried gaslighting the American people on a scale never before seen and insisted that they go along with your crazy ideas, they rejected you wholeheartedly. Yep, it was not a good year.

In a bold move signaling his commitment to holding the intelligence community accountable, President Donald Trump revoked the security clearances of 51 former intelligence officials who signed a controversial letter dismissing the Hunter Biden laptop story as Russian disinformation. The letter surfaced weeks before the 2020 election and was widely criticized after evidence from the laptop was verified, raising questions about the intelligence officials' credibility. Trump’s decision to strip their security clearances comes amid growing concerns over political bias within the intelligence agencies and his determination to ensure integrity and transparency within national security operations.

FEMA Director Deanne Criswell departed the agency on Monday as President Trump’s new administration began.
Criswell has faced strong criticism in response to how the agency has handled recent hurricanes. Criswell oversaw the government’s response to numerous major hurricanes, the Maui fires and the recent Los Angeles County fires.
“It has been an honor serving as [FEMA] Administrator for nearly four years. The FEMA family takes immense pride in our mission of helping people before, during and after disasters. I know the agency will continue to serve the nation as we support this peaceful transition of power,” Criswell wrote on X.
