President Donald Trump called for an end to the Russia-Ukraine war as part of his first sit-down interview since returning to the White House, saying Russian President Vladimir Putin should never have launched his full-scale invasion in 2022.
Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity an estimated 850,000 Russian soldiers and 700,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died since the onset of the war.
"These are human beings that are just being slaughtered on this battlefield by the millions. They've already died, and the cities — the cities are like demolition sites," he said in an interview that aired Thursday on "Hannity."

It's been a whirlwind of a week over January 6 and the select committee of all Democratically-appointed members who were supposed to investigate the events of that day. On Monday, outgoing President Joe Biden issued several preemptive pardons, including for members of that select committee, even though at least one such member, now Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) didn't think it was the greatest idea. Later that same day, upon taking office, President Donald Trump issued pardons for the January 6 defendants. Now, as Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced on Wednesday, there's to be a new select committee.

Kennedy scion Jack Schlossberg accused President Trump of using slain President John F. Kennedy as a “political prop,” when the commander in chief issued an order Thursday to declassify files tied to his grandfather’s murder Thursday.
The 31-year-old grandson of the 35th president took to social media to brush aside the bombshell announcement Trump made about long-held government secrets tied to JFK’s assassination, Schlossberg’s great uncle Robert F. Kennedy’s slaying and Martin Luther King’s murder from decades ago. (Photo) “JFK conspiracy theories — The truth is alot [sic] sadder than the myth – a tragedy that didn’t need to happen,” Schlossberg tweeted. “Not part of an inevitable grand scheme.”

Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam and Chicago local Terry Newsome of the Behind Enemy Lines podcast brought the fire to a press conference earlier where Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson attacked President Trump’s plan to fight back against sanctuary cities and illegal aliens.
During the presser at a West Side lighting manufacturing plant, Pritzker and Johnson reportedly preached about diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and pledged to fight off Trump’s mass deportation efforts.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott called on Congress to reimburse the State for more than $11.1 billion spent on border security. The governor said Texas taxpayers footed the bill for border security “due to the Biden Administration’s refusal to do its job for the last four years.”
“President Biden’s policies left Texas and the rest of America defenseless against an unprecedented infiltration of violent criminals, known terrorists, and other hostile foreign actors, like the dangerous Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua,” Abbott’s letter reads. “I launched Operation Lone Star (OLS) to combat these threats to all Americans. Over the past four years, OLS efforts successfully reduced illegal immigration into Texas by 87%,

As Beege would say, call the WAAHMUBULANCE! According to ABC News, "medical and legal experts" are complaining that The Science™ contradicts President Trump's Executive Order that defines sex as dimorphic rather than open-ended. Trump did a no-no: he asserted that the term "woman" has an actual definition and isn't some vague, undefined thing with changing definitions. (X)
Perhaps, ABC, this is why Americans no longer trust experts.
On his first day back in office on Monday, President Trump issued an executive order declaring that the U.S. government would only recognize a person's sex assigned at birth, limit the definition of a "male" or "female"

New York State has 670,000 residents who are illegal migrants – including 42,300 undocumented restaurant employees and 48,500 undocumented construction workers, an eye-opening report released Thursday said.
The report from the liberal-leaning Fiscal Policy Institute revealed an underground economy of migrant workers in the Empire State, where 1.8 million residents are non-citizens that may also include green card holders.
In total, there are 4.5 million foreign-born residents of the state, the report said. (Photo)

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Benjamine Huffman on Thursday deputized agents and officers at the Justice Department to help in making immigration arrests, creating a force multiplier as President Trump seeks to carry out his promise of mass deportations.
Mr. Huffman signed a directive granting immigration investigation and arrest powers to the U.S. Marshals Service, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Prisons and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
“Mobilizing these law enforcement officials will help fulfill President Trump’s promise to the American people to carry out mass deportations,” Mr. Huffman said.

President Donald Trump’s newly confirmed Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director, John Ratcliffe, told Breitbart News exclusively that he views his mission as restoring the world’s most preeminent intelligence agency to its core primary objectives and undoing the lasting damage that one of his predecessors, John Brennan, did to the CIA.
“It would be fair to say his tenure was one of the worst things that has ever happened to the Agency,” Ratcliffe told Breitbart News of Brennan on Thursday in his first interview as CIA director. Ratcliffe, who served as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in Trump’s first term, was just confirmed Thursday afternoon as Trump’s new director of the CIA
