Trump wipes the smile off Obama’s face

President-elect Donald Trump’s most striking characteristics today are clarity, confidence, and calm. This is extraordinary in a man renowned for chaos, confusion, and the thin-skinned hurling of demeaning insults. But it is a truth that needs to be acknowledged and accounted for to understand what we are witnessing as Trump prepares to resume the presidency. His press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Dec. 16 revealed a man almost preternaturally at ease with himself, his mission, his domestic support, and his acceptance abroad. His tone was measured, even somewhat humble, despite some bragging. When he dismissed questions, as he justifiably did once or twice, it was not done angrily

Does BO acknowledge to himself that Trump beat him at the game? Doubtful as that would be admitting he's not the greatest human on Earth. Thus he'll blame everyone else be it Joe,Kamala,Nancy or dem.

Well, I'm not sure how much BO is smiling because he seems to have disappeared. As of January, Trump will start to erase his "legacy". In four years people will be saying Barack who? I suspect his own party won't want to have much to do with him.

If democrats would have left Trump alone, just not paid him any attention at all, it would have been very difficult for Trump to replicate the enthusiasm of the 2020 election. But they didn’t, thank the Lord.

Trump's single biggest accomplishment in his two non-consecutive terms may be the complete and total grounding of Obama's "fundamental transformation of America." Two decades ago Obama remarked that Reagan changed the trajectory of America... with the implication that Reagan's trajectory change was for the worse. Obama, of course, promised to change America's trajectory for the better... but the reality is he never planned to improve America at all but merely his own circumstances. Which he did -- mostly by shaming rich white liberals into underwriting his increase in wealth. In 2024, he was repudiated by a large swath of his former base -- people of color, many of them blue collar workers who have suffered immense economic damage from two terms of Obama and his "shadow" third term pulling FJB's puppet strings. Obama's base abandoned him for a man who will right the ship of America -- and its trajectory.

President-elect Donald Trump has big plans to deliver on his campaign pledge to secure the southern border, pledging to issue a flurry of executive actions on day one of his presidency to stem the massive flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. But questions remain about when and how Trump plans to deliver on his fresh pledge to protect the so-called “Dreamers” – a term for immigrants who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children and do not have a path to citizenship. “The Dreamers are going to come later, and we have to do something about the Dreamers because these are people

An appellate court removed Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis (D) from the racketeering case against President-elect Donald Trump over her romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. Georgia’s court of appeals ruled Thursday that Willis will be removed from the case because of the appearance of misconduct surrounding her relationship with Wade, but did not throw out the case all together. “While we recognize that an appearance of impropriety is generally not enough to support disqualification, this is the rare case in which disqualification is mandated and no other remedy will suffice to restore public confidence in the integrity of these proceedings,” the three judge panel ruled.

Beginning on Wednesday and through Jan. 17, unmanned aircraft are barred from flying within a nautical mile of specified airspace outlined in an FAA Notice to Airmen, or NOTAM. The government may use “deadly force” against the drones if they present an “imminent security threat,” the NOTAM said. The temporary flight restrictions have been implemented over a large and significantly populated area of New Jersey, including: Jersey City, Bayonne, Elizabeth, Harrison, Kearny, Edison,

The only time I ever agreed with MSNBC’s Joy Reid was when she declared the Left victorious in the culture wars following the hyper-woke Grammy Awards on CBS in February 2023. “Culture wars are over, and the Left won, like total defeat,” she declared on her newscast the following evening. “Despite the almost hysterical war the Right is waging to take the culture back to the John Wayne era, they’re not just losing. They literally cannot win. Cultural progression is relentless. Once people get a taste of modernity, they almost never go back willingly.” And who could blame her for the burst of hubris? After all,

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has loudly announced his intention to "Trump proof" the state ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration in January 2025. Some of the things he wants to do will be extremely unpopular with the state's residents, and legislators who watched their districts vote for Trump (or saw big leaps in that direction) will be wary of publicly signing on to his radical agenda. He's in a bit of a conundrum. He's probably been longing for the unchecked power he had from March 2020 through February 28, 2023, when Californians lived under a State of Emergency for the COVID pandemic. Enter Avian influenza A (H5N1), commonly known as "Bird Flu."

Democrats have engaged in many election post mortems, but they are either unable or unwilling to come go grips with the real reasons why they lost the 2024 election. One of many cases in point is this op-ed by Rahm Emanuel in The Washington Post. Emanuel’s theme is that the Democrats are too nice, and too joyful, for their own good. The Post’s subhed for the piece is “Campaigns of joy in an era of rage don’t win elections.” Which means that the Post can’t tell the difference between joy and gaslighting. Emanuel writes: When Donald Trump declared, “I am your warrior.

The US central bank has cut interest rates for a third time, despite concerns that the move will deliver a boost to the economy that risks re-igniting price inflation. The decision was expected, setting the Federal Reserve's key lending rate in a target range of 4.25% to 4.5%. That is down a full percentage point since September, when the bank started lowering borrowing costs, citing progress stabilising prices and a desire to head off economic weakening. Reports since then indicate the job market has been more resilient than expected while price rises have continued to bubble.
