Two days after Donald Trump won the election, Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a special legislative session to “safeguard California values and fundamental rights in the face of an incoming Trump administration.” But Newsom could have a fight on his hands with Californians who are clearly tired of Newsom’s and his fellow leftists’ “values.” Almost across the board, California voters rejected leftist ballot initiatives, often by wide margins. “State voters took a hammer to the most progressive propositions,” noted I&I contributor Thomas Buckley. No. The way the ballot box in run in my former state, there is no way anyone but a machine Democrat can win anything important even with 99% of the real votes. Forget it. Write off the whole state. Purple California is a delusion.

I often wonder how may disaffected conservatives never vote because "What's the difference if I vote?" How much would the popular vote have changed if Trump would have said "I don't care if you're in the bluest of blue - vote anyway and you might find you're not as alone as you feel!"

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area--East Bay, which includes Oakland and the Peoples' Republic of Berkeley. I would never even think of displaying a Trump lawn sign, flag, bumper sticker, etc. for fear of my home / car being vandalized. I know very few fellow Conservatives in this area . . . so mainly keep my opinions to myself. No way will this area ever turn purple.

Heck no. They just elected Schiff as their Senator, for Pete's sake. All the conservative people are evacuating to red states leaving only the libs in the constituencies. If they EVER want real freedom, they'll revolt and demand a change.

No. They just elected Schiff-for-brains to a 6-year term as US Senator and re-elected the geriatric, self-serving Pelosi. There are local GOP enclaves but saving the Left Coast will take more than the 10 good men in the Sodom of Abraham's time. Pray for them all because I fear that the Rockie Mountains will form our new West Coast.

From Business Insider, 11/10/2024: "Data compiled by Idaho officials showed 78% of voters who moved from California to Idaho registered as Republicans between 2020 and 2023." Living here in Idaho that would seem to be a good thing, but I'll wait and see. However, in the general election recently Rank Choice Voting was defeated by > 70% which is a good sign.

I recently moved from one blue state, CA, to another, CO. At least CO doesn't seem as crazy as CA, and housing is a lot less expensive. Gas is less, too, but everything else seems about the same price as in CA. CO's DemonRat cheating machine puts CA's and Chicago's to shame.

Naysayers will only show ignorance of voter registration data. Dems do not have a simple majority. The Republicans and No Party Preference voters outnumber them and there is room for a lot of movement in the latter,

Ric Grennell started an organization in Calif to bring this state back to it's greatness. He states "if all the conservatives in California voted, California would be RED" I believe this. Too many conservatives don't bother to vote. We need Scott Presler here. I realize it's a huge state so we need a lot of people to volunteer to work with Scott. I truly believe that there are at least hundreds of people, if not thousands that would donate money and or volunteer to Make California Red Again!!

Can Elon And Vivek Really Slash $2 Trillion

As you’ve probably figured out, the headline above is a trick, a rhetorical question. Because we know going in that our government has spent so much since the COVID-era began that there’s no question it can be cut sharply. And, in answer to the question above, $2 trillion is just a start. But that’s just a base number set by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, tagged by President-elect Donald Trump to head the new Department of Government Efficiency, or “DOGE” for short. “As President Trump said, what we need is common sense,” Musk said. “This won’t be business as usual.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump announced that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy would head the “Department of Government Efficiency.” That same day, the Treasury Department released a report showing why this effort is so desperately needed. In his announcement, Trump said that he’s assigned the two to “dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies.” It will, he said, “become, potentially, ‘The Manhattan Project’ of our time.” At Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in late October, Musk, when asked how much he

It’s hard to know just how much of the country hates Donald Trump. The easy answer is about half. But that’s probably wrong. Much less than half of the country voted against him last week and it would be a mistake to think that every one of those Americans hates the man. Surely a significant portion of Harris-Walz voters made their decisions simply because they either like Democratic policies or oppose the Republican agenda. If so, it would seem that Trump has an opportunity to unify a bitterly divided nation. Still, there’s an angry, petty and vocal faction on the left that has no interest in unity because

Of all the excesses of the four-year Trump interregnum that was the Biden-Harris administration, none was worse than the left’s use of our legal system to exact political retribution and “send a message” to those who dared oppose progressive extremism. It had all the markings of totalitarian behavior, but now it’s going down in flames. The idea of America as a nation ruled by laws, not by the biases and whims of political powers, has been central to our country’s identity and stability since its very founding. It’s what makes our country unique in the world. But after Biden’s 2020 election win,

For more than a year, pundits in the mainstream media were feeding the public a steady diet of catchphrases, aphorisms, mantras, and predictions. Almost none of them turned out to be true. But being wrong has never caused elite media types to self-reflect. They just issue a new set of catchphrases, aphorisms, mantras, and predictions. So, rather than wait for them, we decided to make our own predictions. We will have much more to say about this election, about the unprecedented legal attacks, the vitriol hurled at half of American voters,

Editor’s note: As we write this at 1:21 a.m. ET, Fox News projects that Donald Trump has won Pennsylvania, which means that there is no chance for Kamala Harris to win this election. This is an astonishing victory. So, we thought we should reprint a piece written by guest contributor Paul Petrick who put it in the proper perspective back in March. This was, mind you, before the felony convictions, before two assassination attempts, before Biden stepped aside and handed the nomination to Kamala Harris.

We’ve become accustomed to Democratic Party operatives thinly disguised as journalists smearing, slurring, slamming, and lying about Republican candidates. They don’t want voters to know the truth. They’re not objective purveyors of the facts but rather political players who want to have the power to pick the winners of every election. Some years ago, while at the University of California, Los Angeles, economics professor Timothy Groseclose wrote a book that showed Democratic candidates start their campaigns with significant leads over their GOP candidates due to media preference. It seems everyone but the Democrats have had a bit of fun with President Joe Biden’s insulting characterization of former President Donald Trump’s supporters as “garbage” (and, yes, he did mean Trump’s supporters, not Trump himself). Not so funny is what it shows about the Democrats, who seem to loathe any American who doesn’t support them. It started with a bad joke told by a comedian, one of 30 warmup speakers at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, who referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” Trump didn’t make the remark, nor did he approve of it. “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,”

It’s high time to shatter the myth of Nancy Pelosi as a master strategist. Nobody deserves more blame than the ridiculously self-titled “speaker emerita” for the Democrats’ $1 billion electoral collapse. Under her ruthless leadership, her party lost the White House, the House, the Senate and the popular vote. You can’t say that enough. Voters rejected the Dems coast to coast, even in Pelosi’s deepest-blue home city of San Francisco, which saw a 7-point swing to Donald Trump. She’s the only speaker in history to have lost control of the House twice. She’s finished.

Leftists have a master plan to ensure that President-elect Donald Trump’s economy tanks: They are not going to buy anything. Leftists across the country are still reeling from Trump’s historic comeback victory, which saw him sweeping all seven swing states, garnering 312 electoral votes and also winning the popular vote after making historic gains in traditionally blue areas. There was a sizable shift in the electorate and a clear mandate for change, but some leftists ardently disagree and have a plan to tank what everyone anticipates to be a strong economy under Trump’s leadership.

Biden had not consulted with his former boss either on his decision to drop out nor on his decision to endorse Harris. At 12:46 p.m. EDT, Biden posted on X his intention to withdraw.
