It’s Personal

One of the lessons learned in the first Trump administration is that you can't put a regular swamp creature into a position of power and expect him or her to go up against the entrenched machine to the degree necessary. Washington pros still place too much trust in the establishment — or more to the point, the people within the apparatus. And they still play by the old rules.
So Trump has come up with an ingenious way to squish-proof top officials in his incoming administration: He's placing people in charge of agencies and departments who were personally targeted by those agencies and departments.

General Flynn -- who was entrapped by the FBI -- in charge of the FBI.
Matt Gaetz -- who was "investigated" by the DOJ completely bogus child trafficking allegations -- with literally just an anonymous internet claim as the basis -- and completely slimed in the process -- originally gave me pause, but he's perfect to be personally motivated to root out corrupt, partisan, hacks.

Gaetz and Gabbard, wherever they end up, will require thorough background investigations, requiring DOJ to put up or shut up about the Gaetz rumors, or why Tulsi has been under the Quiet Skies program. Trump staff must know there's nothing there or they wouldn't have vetted them. Interesting that Trump has come out foursquare for Johnson. Nominating Gaetz, who won't clear the Senate, is one way to support him while conveniently getting him out of the House.

A great approach. None of this "now let's be reasonable here"......you mean like when you went after me?

Right or wrong, it is no longer business as usual in DC.
Perhaps this kind of shake up is a good thing.
Gaetz cannot be any worse than Garland.

Nobody could be worse than Garland, or Wray, or Blinken, or Austin, or Buttigieg, or Levine, or... Biden's entire clown show would have been fired by Barnum & Bailey because they weren't funny, just pathetic.

If you don't know where they end up, I can tell you that Tulsi Gabbard will end up as National Intelligence Director and Matt Gaetz will end up as Attorney General. President Trump did not pick Matt Gaetz to get him out of DC, that's completely bullshoes.

So far so good. And when President Trump is sworn in on January 20th, I hope that E.O. #1 pardons all of the J6 political prisoners, provides ample monetary compensation, and calls for a full investigation of Nani Pelosi, capitol police, and others for colluding to "decline" securing the capitol on J6 despite Trump's warning and prosecution of the capitol police for abusing the J6 prisoners.

I don't want establishment appeasers in power, who have blanded their positions to such a degree that they have no position. As a voter, I want citizens that have the courage and the will to do what we elected them to do, are loyal, honest, and hard working. Voters have said what they want. BTW, left demonizations are grating. The left media calls us fringe. Look at the map. All the blue is fringe on the left coast and the NE and that is it. The rest of the country is red, and we want a government that is downsized so it has no time to ruin our lives.

I am a quietly retired woman who ran her own business...successfully I might add....and I NEVER forgot a business acquaintance that played games with me....and especially when they needed my product for the holidays....I was always polite...but they were the last of my priorities ...so I understand what you're saying here....President Trump has plenty to be bitter about...but he's to smart to waste time being angry...he's go lots to do.....

Have we heard anything about Roger Stone, one of the first people who suffered from the Democrat machine?

If you will remember the previous AG went after President Trump with bogus charges. With what the Left has done to Trump, he has every right to select those who will FIGHT those who tried to destroy him, but will do so legally. And I for one, think Matt Gaez is a terrific choice to clean out the corrupt DOJ. Garland is a stench on the good name of JUSTICE.

This is as it should be. It's a given that no matter who Trump names, that department is going to meet the new boss with hostility and resentment. So why not send in someone who hates them more than they hate him? It's the only way the job will get done.
