A protester who works in the media lit himself on fire outside of the White House during an anti-Israel protest on Saturday evening, disturbing video shows.
The man, identified as photojournalist Samuel Mena Jr, can be seen screaming in pain after he set his left arm ablaze in the middle of the street as shocked police officers and bystanders rush over to help, according to one clip.
Mena holds his left arm — engulfed in flames — high in the air to show others as several people quickly douse him with water and beat out the flames with pieces of clothing.

Erwin, Tenn.—With shaking hands, Daniel Delgado kissed a photo of his wife, Monica Hernandez, before lighting a candle in a supermarket parking lot. Family members hugged pictures printed on poster board, some collapsing into them in tears as search helicopters flew overhead in the direction of the hills.
Days after six workers at a plastics factory disappeared under surging floodwaters caused by Hurricane Helene, loved ones and supporters have been gathering for vigils in front of churches, a high school and a grocery store to honor them.
Most nights, prayers in Spanish are spoken over rosary beads: “Mary, mother of Jesus, intercede and help us find them.”

The city is bracing for widespread anti-Israel protests planned for the one-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack.
Protests are already expected on Saturday, in the lead up to the anniversary of the devastating terror attack, with events organized for Times Square, outside Google’s Manhattan headquarters and at Court Square Park in Queens.
Many anti-Israel groups are planning demonstrations for Monday, in particular, the National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), which is orchestrating a nationwide “Week of Rage” on college campuses beginning on Oct. 7.
Meanwhile, one of the most outspoken anti-Israel organizations “Within Our Lifetime” (WOL) called on protestors to “flood New York City for Palestine” to mark the anniversary

Former President Donald Trump rallied his supporters on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of an assassination attempt on his life.
Trump, speaking about his public service, suggested he is honored to run for president once again to protect the nation from the Biden-Harris administration. Under its leadership, costs increased by about 20 percent across the board, Russia invaded Ukraine, Hamas and Iran attacked Israel, the illegal migrants invaded the southern border, and the nation suffered the deadly Afghan withdrawal.

The massive crowd for Trump’s return to Butler, Pennsylvania this weekend may be a sign of something bigger. The Keystone State has moved significantly to the right over the last four years.
The combination of economic hardship brought on by the Biden/Harris administration and the hard work of conservative activists like Scott Presler has flipped a majority of Pennsylvania counties to Republican.

A Major Red Wave Is Coming to Pennsylvania
A significant red wave is looking to hit the historically blue state of Pennsylvania as more and more voters shift to identify as Republican.

One of the things that Elon Musk just warned about at former President Donald Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, was the danger that the Democrats posed to free speech and how important it was to vote for Trump to preserve our Constitutional rights. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton let the cat out of the bag during an interview with CNN on Saturday, where she spoke about the need to control social media. She said it should be "at the top" of every legislative agenda: (X Video)

On Thursday October 3rd, Vice President Kamala Harris held a campaign event with former Congresswoman Liz Cheney. Liz Cheney officially endorsed Harris in the beginning of September, and soon after her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney followed suit. Harris said she was honored to have their endorsements, and many fellow liberals are celebrating the Cheney endorsements. When asked about the former congresswoman’s campaign event with Harris, President Joe Biden said that Liz Cheney and her father “have character.” MSNBC contributor Tim Miller notably said Dick Cheney’s endorsement should be a wake-up call to everybody, his implication being that Trump is so bad even “conservative” Dick Cheney is backing Harris.

Hurricane Helene, which tore through the southeastern United States and took more than 185 lives, may also effect this year's presidential election.
The hurricane was the first catastrophe in US history to hit two crucial swing states - North Carolina and Georgia - within just six weeks of a presidential election, according to Politico.
It particularly devastated heavily Republican areas of the two states, giving Vice President Kamala Harris a potential edge over former President Donald Trump.

Former President Donald Trump honored firefighter Corey Comperatore, who was murdered in the near-assassination of Trump in July, during his return to Butler, Pennslyvania, on Saturday.
Trump hailed Comperatore –whose wife, Helen, and children were in attendance – as a hero for the actions he took to shield his family from the shooter, sacrificing his life.(X Video)
“Corey Comperatore was an incredible husband and father, a devout Christian, a veteran, and a proud former fire chief, very respected within the town. Everybody knew him, ” Trump said. “Few men volunteered to run into fires, but Corey was one of those who did. He ran into fires.”

One of the excuses you always hear when there’s a massive failure by the Biden-Harris administration is that no one could have seen it coming. No one could have predicted that the Inflation Reduction Act would actually increase inflation. No one could have predicted that the Afghan government would collapse immediately after we pulled out our troops, leading to a security breakdown and the deaths of 13 U.S. military personnel. No one could have predicted that shipping pallets of cash to Iran would provide funding for a new campaign of terrorist attacks by Iran’s proxies, and so on.
The truth though is that all of these disasters were easily foreseeable.

Elon Musk took the stage at former President Donald Trump’s triumphant rally in Butler, Pa., Saturday — three months after the first assassination attempt on his life there — where he offered his full-throated support for the Republican candidate and implored people to register to vote.
Musk, 53, joked he’s “not just MAGA, I’m dark MAGA” as he took the stage to loud cheers from the 20,000-plus crowd dressed in all black — including a custom black MAGA hat.
“President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America,” Musk stressed to the audience.

Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee, said she knew her father-in-law Donald Trump would return to Butler County before he made the announcement, noting that he operates with “strength and faith.” Trump when speaking on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Butler Farm Show grounds said the November election features a choice between “good and evil“ rather than Republican and Democrats, respectively.
“And good is going to win,” she said.
