Topeka, Kan. (AP) — State and local election officials from across the country on Wednesday warned that problems with the nation’s mail delivery system threaten to disenfranchise voters in the upcoming presidential election, telling the head of the U.S. Postal Service that it hasn’t fixed persistent deficiencies.[Snip]mailed ballots that were postmarked on time were received by local election offices days after the deadline to be counted.[Snip] properly addressed election mail was being returned to them as undeliverable[Snip]could automatically send voters to inactive status through no fault of their own

The only reason to mail ballots is to cheat and disenfranchise voters who believe in the rule of law and follow it…

Didn't they bring up postal service problems possibly being a barrier to voting in 2020 also? If your absentee/mail in ballots are mailed in on time, they will get to their destination on time. If you wait until the day before the election to mail them, they will not. Ballots are sent out plenty of time before the election to be returned on time. We make it easy to vote but Voters also have the RESPONSIBILITY to complete their ballots correctly and return them in a timely manner if they want them counted. DOn't blame the postal service for your inaction and sending your ballot late.

Perhaps my comment ” It could cause problems for voters who show up to cast a ballot.” would have been clearer if I had said that voters being relegated to inactive status by all of the mail problems could cause problems for them when they unknowingly show up at the polls to cast a ballot.

Latest angle from which to orchestrate a steal. This year the Demcommies will have several parallel operations involved for their fraud, not just because they'll need even more cheating to get word-salad-bimbo "elected", but to provide some redundancy, in case the GOP monitors manage to thwart any one or two of their thrusts.

Republicans should vote early, whether by mail-in ballot, or early voting. Then check the status of your ballot online, and correct any deficiencies before election day.

Once again the Republicans accept the garbage that the Democrats have inflicted on the country. Our elections have been sloppy for decades but starting in 2020 have become an international joke. Mailed ballots ballot harvesting and the ever expanding election window were all devised to benefit the Democrats.
The only fix is a Constitutional amendment that requires paper ballots to be cast only in precincts on election day. Proof of identity required. Absentee ballots for those away from home, the sick, etc. If that isn’t done there will be no possibility of a Republican president ever again.

Anyone with experience with the USPS could have told you that. Last week we had a repairman work on our air conditioner. All came out good before he left. I offered to pay him and he stated the company would send a bill. Okay. The AC company is in our same town and it took four days for the bill to get to our house. Four days and we are 14 miles from the AC company. We are in the rural part of our county and we see our regular mailman maybe twice a week. The rest of the time it is a USPS truck and employee that delivers and that is only close to dark. No, mail in ballots should only be limited to those that have a physical or medical reason to be unable to show up at a polling place on election day.

Defund the Post Office, it's a dinosaur. They have been underperforming for decades and their answer to everything is to increase the price of stamps. How is that new fleet of electric vehicles working out? If your mail is late it could be sitting in line at a charging station.

And just think, there was a time when everyone accepted and managed to vote on the same day, and we had results generally by midnight. I think when all the changes were made to extend the voting it was used with the idea of cheating in mind. But that's just me.

I'm in Michigan. A couple elections back a Constitutional (for Michigan) amendment was passed (some, including me, say unConstitutionally) that ANYone can vote early with a 'mail in ballot'. You can request that by mail (fraud alert) but you can also go, in person, to the clerk's office, present identification, and request it. You can then fill it in on the spot and hand it back to the clerk. THAT is what I intend to do. No mail. No hijinks.
Arizona: Tabulator machines failed. Ballots were to be printed up on the spot and LO.. the ink ran out. Paper ran out. Machines were rebooted with the wrong settings resulting in ballots where your mark appeared in a different place than the tabulator looked for it: You didn't vote. And, coincidence of coincidences, this happened in 'Red' precincts.
I figure that a fix will be in on voting day. I also know that they count the 'mail ins' last. Should I vote on voting day, in person, they'll know my vote before the count the mail ins and print more. But what if my vote is in the pile of 'mail ins'?
We do what we can.

In Florida, my wife and I did not receive our absented ballots for the primaries.this year. When I called in about it, I was told that the ballots were “returned as undeliverable.” Thankfully, early voting was still available, so I was able to vote. My address is a private residence, so there is no valid reason for this. I find it troubling that the USPS is doing this .
FYI #1, My wife and I are in our eighties, so standing in long lines is an ordeal.

Alrighty then, state and local election officials. I'll plan to vote in person. Or if I'm in a good mood, I'll hand-deliver my completed ballot to my county drop box - Afterall, it's right across the street from the county sheriff's office.

A good reason for making people identify and vote in person at the polls. The only absentee ballots should be handled in advance after checking the validity of the person submitting the ballot. France did it and had their results Election Night. Mail in ballots are for those who want fraudulent submissions. If you are not able to stand in line on Election Day you can go to an early voting location, those are pretty efficient.
As an after thought, what is wrong with our post office? Maybe the folks in DC should get off their butts and fix the issues..

Here we go, it's already starting. Democrats will steal this election just like in 2020. Know why, because they are pure communists, they are Cuba and Venezuela and it's in their DNA. Trump was always right about the deep state, the swamp but we had no idea it was that deep. Our country has been destroyed in the last 4 years and when you look at the Mitt Romney's, the George W. Bush's, the Dick Cheney's you start to understand how sick these people really are. They're owned by the communist party and they are ok with that because they are not affected. And they all hate Trump because he cannot be bought and he loves our country. Wake up already.

More than one excuse, reason or explanation means someone way up at the top is lying big-time. Big Mouth Biden told us a year before the last election that something huge was planned. And sure enough!
