Donald Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks was spotted wandering through merch stalls less than two hours before he wounded the ex-president. Crooks grazed Trump in the right ear as he spoke at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, and killed supporter Corey Comperatore in the crowd. Trump was shot at 6:11 pm by the first of eight bullets Crooks fired from the roof of a nearby building until he was gunned down by a Secret Service counter-sniper. A salesman for Iron Clad USA inadvertently filmed Crooks casually strolling past his booth outside the rally at 4:26 pm - the earliest known recording of him at the rally.

When will we get a video that shows the actual shooter who almost killed Trump? Because this goofy kid was firing shots randomly around the venue.

In college in 1963 when JFK was murdered; working for a living in 1968 (RFK); married w/kids in 1981 when Hinckley aimed at Reagan but critically wounded James Brady instead. Hinckley should have died. He's dead to me, anyway. I take all these attempts as though they were meant for me, personally. An A.L. umpire @ 1962 named McKinley, had baseball fans who shouted "They shot the wrong McKinley" whenever he was sent to those AL games. People think murder is a game. Yesterday or today, there was another congressional scab-picking session on the recent attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania. Our country only pretends to be civilized.

Maybe I missed the explanation, but how did Crooks get the rifle into the rally? Was he open carrying with it slung over his back? Did he stash it in the morning? I’ve not seen an answer.

Donald Trump thanked Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Friday after the scion of the legendary family offered him a dynamic-shifting endorsement. Kennedy stated Friday he is suspending his campaign but not ending it, urging residents of blue states to vote for him but throwing his support behind former President Donald Trump in battleground states. The distinction is important for Kennedy, whose candidacy was composed of supporters and volunteers from across the political spectrum. But Kennedy ripped Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, while praising Trump Friday, and for all practical purposes, this is an endorsement, plain and simple.

While rumors swirled that Taylor Swift and Beyoncé would take the stage as 'surprise guests' during the final evening of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, there was someone else who everyone had their eyes on: Ella Emhoff. The 25-year-old daughter of Kamala Harris' husband and Second Gentleman Doug addressed the crowd alongside the Democratic presidential nominee's niece, Meena, and goddaughter Helena Hudlin. Emhoff spoke lovingly about her stepmom last night, or as she calls her, 'Momala,' praising her as 'patient' and 'caring.'

Special Counsel Jack Smith reversed course in his quest to seek expedited hearings in his Washington, DC, case against former President Donald Trump. Smith sought the hearings to determine which actions that Trump allegedly took he could charge in his election interference case against the president. The Supreme Court’s July 1 decision that presidents enjoy partial immunity for actions taken in office in an official capacity spurred Smith to alter his approach. Before Smith relented in his latest push to expedite the increasingly shaky case, Judge Tanya Chutkan had planned to hold hearings in the fall to determine which of Trump’s acts were official acts subject to prosecution.
