A government of laws and not of men

My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over. That’s what President Gerald Ford said in the East Room of the White House, 30 minutes after Richard Nixon tendered his resignation on Aug. 9, 1974. [Snip] And so on Thursday, 12 ordinary New Yorkers reported for jury duty like they had for weeks, doing their duty in an extraordinary way in the case of the People vs. Donald J. Trump and this time they ruled, for the first time in our country’s history, that a former president, was criminally guilty of committing crimes to win an election.

Comments:

Ms. Jeffers goes on to declare that President Trump’s “True ambition isn’t to be a king, but a dictator, but we don’t do those either.” To further besmirch President Trump, she disparages his vow to fight for this country and the Constitution by writing that she has never read one word in the hallowed Constitution that “even mentioned a lying, convicted Bible-seller should falsify business documents to cover up payments specifically to hide an affair with a porn star in order to cover it up in order to swing an election.” (Rini Jeffers is a national award-winning freelance writer and columnist.)

I'm getting really tired of leftists posturing about "no one is above the law," and "we're a nation of laws," when we all know that leftists have gotten away with rioted in the street, destroyed a police precinct, torched business districts, trashed state houses (Wisconsin), stored classified documents in an unsecured garage, used a private server for official business as a cabinet member, made specious accusations of collusion with foreign enemies, alleged rampant fraud in several elections prior to 2020 and have mostly gotten slapped on the hand (if that). On the other hand, conservatives have been accused of (and convicted of) felonies for walking on the Capital grounds, walking through the Capital (after the Capital police opened the doors, defending President Trump against blatantly unconstitutional charges, discussing the rampant vote fraud in the 2020 election, and generally not drinking the leftist Kool-Aid.

Perhaps most who read this website feel this judgement is undeserved. As far as I know, President Trump denies that he ever “knew” Stormy. There is no evidence other than her variable version. Even supporters seem to assume that he is guilty as charged. Supposedly he was convicted not for the alleged act, which if true was all in a days work for Stormy, but for concealing an allegation. On a scale of great crimes, this doesn’t reach a one percent mark. Most of us have done worse. I hope the payback is proportionate to the insult. It confirms our overwhelming assessment of the legal system.

I'm still trying to figure why PDJT was charged when it was the dirtbag Cohen who made the payment, even to taking out a loan on his home. Travesty of justice doesn't even come close to describing what this and his other court cases are. I pray the ones responsible will at some point pay dearly for what they have done to this former president, his family and the citizens of this country.

#5~ The article was posted not only to provide a wide and diverse range of topics and opinions as a means of “continuing education, a resource” for individuals seeking truth and knowledge that may contribute to connecting dots, but also to reveal the depth and breadth of dishonest dissemination of “news as facts” against political opponents even in fly-over country; the publication carrying Ms. Jeffers’ tirade is in Ohio. Some people may consider things as a pile of “excrement” while others may choose to “look for the pony in there somewhere.”

#7~ It may have been during President Trump’s press conference at Trump Tower the day following the jury’s verdict where, in his extemporaneous comments, he mentioned his innocence regarding Stormy Daniels in such a casual, sincere manner that body language strongly suggests he has been telling the truth about having met her casually on one occasion and that was it, nothing more. Considering the backgrounds of both Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen, the manner in which President Trump repeated his innocence at that press conference lends more credence to his repeated declarations innocence. With absolute certainty, there will be a time when everyone will be held accountable to One Judge, the only Judge that matters.

Trump Guilty Verdict: “There are some

Twitter (X) law is like the broken clock that is right twice a day. I saw multiple people tweeting that a video released by Yale Law Professor Jed Rubenfeld was a must watch on the basics and potential constitutional problems of the Trump ‘hush money’ trial guilty verdict. They were right. I know nothing about Rubenfeld, but he doesn’t come across as partisan on either side. And a lot of his arguments are consistent with the arguments we made in our Telegraph Op-Ed (though he makes them better, but in fairness, we were under a 650 word limit).

The horrific assault on our Republic that resulted in 34 (!!) felony convictions of former president Donald Trump has reverberated across the nation. The blight on our nation caused by every Democrat who has had a hand in the banana republic disgrace of an American president being paraded around in a clown court, a Soviet-style show trial, makes a mockery of the very foundations of this (once?) great country. She described them as ‘street fighters,’ who indicated that Bragg might push for a tough one-year imprisonment, primarily to ensure Trump faces the daunting conditions of Rikers Island.

Legal Insurrection joined others in sounding the alarms in 2022 when it became clear that the international organization was going to use the COVID-19 pandemic response model for more power grabbing and wealth redistribution. The World Health Organization gets to define what a pandemic is, when a pandemic is in progress and how long a pandemic lasts. Then you read the fine print and you realize the W.H.O will have total authority over emergency operations in the United States if there’s ever a “public health emergency.” Huh?

The shutdown would go into effect immediately since that threshold has already been met, a senior administration official said. The border would reopen only once that number falls to 1,500. The president’s order would come under the Immigration and Nationality Act sections 212(f) and 215(a) suspending entry of noncitizens who cross the southern border into the United States unlawfully.

Biden insists that he is one of Israel's greatest friends, and at least in the days after October 7, Biden appeared to have determination to act like a friend. These days, however, Biden's party has fractured on the war that Hamas started with those brutal massacres, rapes, and kidnappings.
