If you’re keeping track, Biden announced that America was going to spend two months building a floating pier to deliver aid to Gaza at a cost of $300 million that would be operated by the U.S. military.
Then the pier came under attack by terrorists, was withdrawn to the Israeli port of Ashdod for repairs while the Biden administration conducted backchannel talks with Hamas urging it not to attack the pier, then redeployed for aid deliveries and it’s been a smashing success.
For Hamas.

The average price to buy a home in California has reached a new historic high with the median price for a dwelling in the state hitting $900,000, the California Association of Realtors said in a recent report.
The new record of $904,210 was recorded amid a spike in home sales for April. [SNIP] California Association of Realtors President Melanie Barker said the rebound "in both home sales and price shows the resilience of California’s housing market and is a signal that buyers and sellers are beginning to adjust to the higher interest rate environment."

Our eyes are often drawn to those snazzy new cars driving next to us on the highway, but take a wider look around and you'll likely find a sea of much older vehicles taking up the bulk of the road. And these days, that majority is getting even older. [SNIP] For just cars, the average age is now 14 years, compared to around 11.5 years 10 years ago, according to the automotive data company.

A Republican-led bill just introduced in the Ohio House would charge teachers and librarians with a felony offense for distributing material deemed “obscene.”
The problem is, the bill does not explain what materials would be considered obscene, despite laying a fifth-degree felony on the feet of teachers and “public school librarians” who may possess or share such material.
State Rep. Adam Mathews, R-Lebanon, put forth House Bill 556 last week, a bill that would “create criminal liability for certain teachers and librarians for the offense of pandering obscenity,” according to the language of the bill.

The Biden administration filed a lawsuit against Oklahoma on Tuesday challenging a new law that allows local authorities to arrest migrants who are in the state illegally.
Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt signed local House Bill 4156 into law in April, which makes it a crime to enter Oklahoma without legal authorization to be in the US.
The Justice Department, which has sued Texas and Iowa over similar measures, argued that the legislation is unconstitutional.

Many families are struggling with rising monthly expenses. For families with children in diapers, extra costs are really hard to manage.
According to the National Diaper Bank Network, 92% of families receiving diapers in Tennessee are working and still are unable to afford an adequate supply of diapers.
Fortunately, a new benefit for families with TennCare could be coming at the perfect time.
It was just announced that the state's Medicaid program will start covering 100 diapers a month for newborns, infants and 1-year-olds.
"They're expensive, so this is going to be a huge, huge break," said Doug Adair, president of Nashville Diaper Connection.

An investigation from the Senate Finance Committee revealed that a few European-based automakers imported either cars or auto parts made using Chinese slave labor to the United States.
The investigation, published Monday, was led by Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR) who accused automakers of “sticking their heads in the sand and then swearing they can’t find any forced labor in their supply chains.”
In January of this year, the investigation discovered that a shipment of Volkswagen vehicles made for the U.S. market included auto parts deriving from a Chinese supplier presumptively using slave labor and thus banned by the federal government under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA).

Graceland, the former home and burial site of the legendary Elvis Presley, is set to be sold off at a foreclosure auction this Thursday.
According to a legal notice published this month, Graceland and surrounding land on Elvis Presley Boulevard will be auctioned off for cash to the highest bidder at Shelby County Courthouse on May 23, as per WREG-TV News.
Elvis' granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, 34, who is the current owner of Graceland, is challenging the sale with a lawsuit, claiming it is 'fraudulent.'
A temporary restraining order on the sale was issued on Monday, as per Keough's attorney, and an injunction hearing is set for Wednesday.

Major EU ports are almost full to capacity with Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) that no one wants to buy. A slump in sales across Europe has caused parking lots at the Belgian ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge to fill up with the Chinese imports.
The parking lots are each able to accommodate about 130,000 vehicles and are crammed full of MGs, BYDs, Nios, XPengs, Lynk & Cos, Omodas and Hongqis, among others.
Chinese EV companies have aggressively targeted European markets as they look to take advantage of the EU's green agenda.

Former Chrysler and Home Depot CEO Bob Nardelli warned that the fault lines of the economy are "about ready to crack" on Monday, adding that the Biden administration's alleged policy missteps could leave a cumbersome mess for the next person who sits in the Oval Office to clean up.
"What I've seen over the past three-and-a-half years is that a series of debacles and missteps have created a tremendous pressure on the fault lines of our economy, and they're about ready to crack," he told FOX Business' Maria Bartiromo.
