It's not quite time for closing arguments in the New York-based criminal case against Donald Trump, but the crescendo is building.
On Monday, disgraced felon Michael Cohen retook the stand as he continued to serve as the prosecution's star witness. The problem? Cohen is a proven liar and total s*****g, and Trump's legal team got him to admit that on the stand in no uncertain terms.
In a moment that set the internet on fire, Cohen admitted to stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the Trump organization. [Tweets]
I can't claim to know what the jury will ultimately decide

"Case in shambles"?
Nah, the never was a case. Bragg never pointed to an actual statute that he was accusing Trump of violating. There never was a case, just a Kangaroo Kourt & Clown Circus. o
Time for a directed verdict of innocent.

But wait! Defense has decided to call Costello---opening up prosecution's ability to question him as well. Huge mistake. Why not rest the case when you know you're winning.

The case should be dismissed with prejudice by the judge.
And Bragg should have to pay Trumps lawyers and court costs out of pocket.

You people are dreaming if you think this Judge is going to throw out the case. Not going to happen. And if you think Bragg will suffer any consequences you are even more delusional. He's a Democrat and he has a melanin shield.

Nah. The New York jury will convict Trump in a New York minute, no matter how ridiculous the case against him.

The judge is between a rock and a hard place.
Throw the case out and be a pariah in Dem circles, or give it to the jury and risk being exposed as a political hack by the appeals court.

Bragg and Merchan accomplished what they were paid to do, eat up a bunch of Trump's campaign time and attack his reputation. The fact that it actually helped his poll numbers against the vegetable was unforseen collateral damage.

Just as bad polls do not necessarily affect the outcome of elections, a bad case does not reflect what the outcome will be. This is 0bama/Biden's Amerika.

There is a certain logic to retaining a morally and ethically challenged creep to fend off other morally and ethically challenged creeps. After all, they think the same way. Unfortunately, he is the walking demonstration of the fallacy of thinking "he may be a lowlife, but he's MY lowlife." When the going gets difficult, he won't STAY your lowlife. When he steals from you, violates the ethical standards he swore to upohold, and turns on you for his own benefit, it should not come as a surprise. Duh! Lowlife!

So Bragg what's your game plan from the Obama/biden White House....keeping President Trump in court and muzzling his speech hasn't worked out so well....next comes a hung jury and then it's starting all over again...is that it?

The jury has been watching the coverage of this. They know what’s being said. Are they really political enough to convict him and look like utter fools and hacks? We shall see.

This judge Merchan is more corrupt and crooked than Alvin Twinkies Bragg. The final example was Merchan sustaining every few minutes Bob Costello's testimony thus working for the prosecution.

I've only visited the place a couple of times over the years. The information I have is almost all through 'news' coverage, but I would not be at ease trusting a Noo Yawk jury to do the right thing.
All we can to is to make noise and hope the jury sees how public opinion is running, then wait and see.

this worm on the bench doesn't have an ounce of humanity, honesty, or decency.
judge kangaroo could have protected the jurors w/ his own immediate verdict to end the case, correct?
cohen gave him such an opening, it would seem, w/ his astounding choice to tell the truth-about all his lies.
rather, Shrieking Decorum forces jurors to spend a week forgetting all they heard, to protect him, the Cowardly Liar.

Costello's responses to an enraged Merchan were textbook, and made Merchan so angry that he got up and ran home.
