Disney's Latest Act of Self-Immolation
Is As Culturally Stupid As It Is Financially Dumb

For a brief moment in early 2024, it seemed like Disney might have learned its lesson. The once-admired company saw financial gains under new leadership amid some pointed public statements vowing to focus more on entertainment and less on politics. The slop is solidly trending downhill again, though, and it's become clear that no actual lessons were learned.
The most recent example comes via the Disney+ investment and partnership with the BBC to stream the umpteenth season of "Dr. Who." As RedState's Brad Slager laid out on Friday, former showrunner Russell T. Davies returned for this latest iteration, and he's decided to make "queerness" a centerpiece.

Dr. Who, or as I usually refer to it, "Dr. Why??" was unwatchably silly to start with. Leave to to Disney to take a moronic fantasy and make it even worse.

As the ancient Greeks used to say "Whom the gods want to destroy, they first drive mad". I don't see any other logical explanation.

I remember watching the Tom Baker Dr. Who - all the seasons and then I caught bits and pieces of quite a few of the other Doctors. I liked the show. It was kind of silly but it was so charming. Then I watched a bit of the latest and thought I'd throw up. It was pretty disgusting to be frank.

Agree with #1…never understood the appeal of Dr. Who.

Is there anything that Disney can't ruin?

The fourth Doctor, Tom Baker, will always be the only Doctor IMO.

U.S. elites have been using the socialist-elitist BBC as "proxy" for socialist ideology beginning in the early 1970's with PBS and now "streaming" under Disney franchise. Just the other day we were discussing how pathetic these "Dr. Who" episodes have become since the Tom Baker "foam and cardboard" days. The "Dr. Who" production blew its own storyline to pieces when they exceeded the decades old "maximum number of regenerations" a Time Lord could undergo in order to keep cycling in newer, more "edgy" Doctors. To me that was their, "jump the shark," moment.
I dared watch one of the David Tenet episodes recently, and it was so "woke," CGI'd, and filled with constant motion and effects to maintain the attention spans of our young "gnats," that it was almost unwatchable... in fact, I've not watched another episode.
Good luck with that overage, illegal CEO, Bob Iger.

The only original fans of Doctor Who would be older and focused on tradition. Portraying him as black and queer, surrounded by similar perverts, will effectively erase those fans and their only hope is acceptance by the One Percent crowd, a notion that will go over like a skunk at a garden party. Their ruinous relentless milking of the Star Wars fantasy doesn't help much either. Here's wishing Disney a fast and hard fall into bankruptcy. They've earned it.

A number of thoughts:
- Don't care about Disney. Haven't been to a movie in over a decade. I want to be entertained, not lectured.
- I don't watch much TV anymore. Most of the time it is background for me. If I am going to get a woke lecture, don't expect me to watch it. Again, I want to be entertained. Not lectured.
- A word about critics. I basically ignore them. I can think for myself and make up my own mind. On a certain platform, one can get 'awards' for their comments and turn in the 'awards' for 'prizes'. Basically, win a stupid award, get a stupid prize. Posters have started putting out mindless BS criticisms in an endeavor to win awards. People are actually giving critics awards regardless of what they say. It's become rather pervasive. It's become so bad you just ignore any critical comments and other posters are saying don't award them.
- As for Dr. Who, I have watched a few YouTube videos of the new season. There is a new doctor. The actors all speak an English I can understand. Also, not every episode is woke. I hope to tune in the new season at some point and catch up on the previous doctor (the lady) if I can find them for free on the internet. It's not a priority though.

Homosexuals apparently spend every waking moment plotting ways to force "homosexuality is perfectly normal" on all the normal people. The world was much better when they were "in the closets and in the shadows" and we didn't hear much about their disgusting perversion.

Ten, Eleven, and Twelve - Tennant, Smith, and Capaldi - were my Doctors. Yes, they were silly but I thought they were just as crazy as a Time Lord should be. Then they decided to make the Doctor female and her companion gay. I watched one episode and just couldn't get into it. I might try to catch a Christmas episode but I've lost interest in the series as a whole. Sad. It was fun.
