Jury selection was underway on Monday morning for Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s lawfare case against Trump related to ‘hush payments’ made to porn star Stormy Daniels. Last April Trump was hit with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records and conspiracy. Alvin Bragg still hasn’t named the underlying felony after he twisted the law and somehow upgraded the misdemeanor charges that were past the statute of limitations – to felonies. The fix is in.

Trump must go to his son's graduation. Let the NY Police break through Trump's SS protection and we'll see what happens. This judge is a total P---- threatening Trump with jail time. If he's smart, he'll stop the trial for one day, unless he wants to cause an uproar that will only cause more sympathy for Trump.

Where are the adults who should be excoriating this judge and this DA for partisan political lawfare? We just sit back and allow these miscreants to bend & twist the law like its a plaything to be molded at their mere whim? What they are doing is TREASON, plain & simple. There is an old maxim of jurisprudence that states, "He who seeks equity (fairness) must do equity." Maybe Trump pushed things too far with his personal criticisms of the bench that no lawyer ever would have encouraged. All too typical. Half of his problems are due to his combative and ill-considered public comments. Attacking the person in the black robe is not a smart tactic.

a six year multi Million dollar case over a $130,000 NDA/Blackmail/Extortion payment, that Trump was not even informed about at the time. No "Direct reimbursement" was ever made. Cohen was granted a monthly "Retainer", not any contract, not any specific payments for any specific outlays And THAT took place long after the election. How can you interfere with an election that has already happened, long after the fact? When setting the schedule Trump via his attorneys must have already informed the court over what days HE had other "Better" things to do...including other court dates, family events, already planned campaign events. His presence is NOT "Needed" for much of the trial, or even any of it. ZERO of any testimony he "Might" offer can be compelled And the only Testimony he "Might" want to offer, will be in the rebuttable stages.

#19,#23~ Thank you! While embarrassed for the mistake, am grateful for calling attention to the inaccuracy of the cited Proverb. As a skeptical individual that has made a personal and career effort to verify facts, this is a rare and truly embarrassing oversight for which a sincere apology is extended. Taking note of the time the post was submitted, the evening meal was a necessary priority so the composition was written in haste; also, twilight years have made it more difficult to coordinate too many things at one time. In searching for a Scripture verse about empathy, the mistaken verse was among well-recognized verses from Scripture and chose to use it, trusting its accuracy without verifying its accuracy—a lesson well-learned that will not happen again.

From my understanding of what attorney Alan Dersowitz has said, Trump has the right to be present at his trial. He also has the right to not attend. Unless his attendance is necessary for testimony, why is he required to be present every day? If his attendance is not relevant, he shouldn't be forced to be there by the judge. The Judge is just on a power trip by forcing Trump to be there every day.

It’s the middle of the night as I write this, and I’m deeply troubled by Trump’s conviction. Why? Perhaps I’m hyper-partisan, perhaps not. I know I’ll never forget where I was when I heard about his conviction. I knew I’d remember it forever, just as I did when I first heard about 9/11, Neil Armstrong walking on the moon, President Kennedy’s assassination or the Soviet Union breathing its last. They were all moments when the clock stood still. The world was never quite the same afterward, and the question, always, was what comes next.

The fix was in against Donald Trump. You knew it, they knew it, everyone knew it. The Left didn't even try to hide it. New York DA Alvin Bragg campaigned on nailing Trump, and he received money from a George Soros-supported group. Judge Juan Merchan repeatedly slammed down Trump's defense, let the prosecution run wild, and gave the Manhattan jury instructions that took them by the hand and walked them directly to a guilty verdict. This miscarriage of justice was so conspicuous and outrageous that Trump's 2024 campaign site crashed from people trying to donate.

Their pathological hatred of Donald Trump is a thousand times greater than their love for the United States of America. They think this is a victory for them. They think that they finally ‘got’ Trump. Events like the destruction of the southern border over the last three years, the October 7 massacre and ensuing Gaza war, the campus protests, the COVID-19 epidemic and lockdown, and the systematic efforts to weaponize our bureaucracies and courts have all led to radical reappraisals of American culture and civilization.
