Beirut, Lebanon — A decades-long shadow war burst out into the open overnight as Iranian drones and missiles lit up the night sky in Israel and the occupied West Bank. Tehran’s operation was highly choreographed, apparently designed to minimize casualties while maximizing spectacle.
This was a complex mission. Over 300 drones and missiles navigated above Iran’s neighbors, including Jordan and Iraq — both with US military bases — before penetrating the airspace of Iran’s mortal enemy, Israel. Israel’s allies helped shoot down the bulk of these weapons, but couldn’t prevent what was long believed to be the Middle East’s doomsday scenario, the Islamic Republic’s first-ever attack on Israel.

The WSJ has just published that the US claims that Iran launched between 115 and 130 ballistic missiles. Of those ballistic missiles approximately 50% of them were intercepted. The other half either failed to launch, or crashed enroute. The officials then mocked Iran's ballistic missiles capabilities.
That's still sufficient to dominate regional nations without Israel's defensive capabilities.

If the mob were to similarly conduct a "demonstration attack" with no casualties on the FBI, should the feds "accept the win?"

All drama to get the American people to support billions more for Ukraine and Israel --- and get nothing for the border, or anything else. I don't know where all the money is going to come from: reparations, green new deal, climate change, Democrat slush funds, Baltimore bridge, free college education. Biden now has gotten Jordan and Great Britain involved militarily in the Middle East War. So far, Biden has gotten wars with Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Great Britain, EU, China, Iran, all involved. Don't you worry though. Biden has 9 more months, at least, to get more countries involved in a war.

It was a farce. The drones must have been bought at a discount at Walmarts and the missiles probably self destructed.
If that all Iran has they had better be much more controlled with their threats.
This was designed by Obama IMO.

It was all for show. The only benefit was Iran and other enemies can analyze what happened and look for vulnerabilities. Israel has demonstrated that they can strike virtually anywhere, and that has Iranian 'leaders' scared to death. Don't believe any of the media hype.

Nothing the Iranians do make sense to the western mind. I will say the the attack surprised me in how it unfolded. Were I to ordered out a strike, I would have started with Ballistic and cruise missiles, with my proxies firing off drones just before the missiles were due to strike. By sending of the drones first, Iran gave EVERYONE hours of advanced warning. So perhaps, the story is true.

See, says CNN. The Iranians are the good guys. Unlike the genocidal Israelis, they make sure to minimize civilian casualties.

Of course, because we all know how scrupulous Iran and its proxies, such as Hamas and Hez b'allah are to avoid killing Israelis and Jews all over the world.
Of course.

This was a farcical attack. Almost ALL the assault vectors failed to reach Israel, let alone their targets. There was only minor damage.
For Iran to claim they have taught Israel a lesson is ridiculous. The only lesson taught is that Iran is a paper clown tiger. They are certainly dangerous because they are sneaky and support terrorists. But in a direct confrontation, they are incompetent and weak.
There is so much speculation and misdirection in this article that is shows why CNN is circling the drain.
Iran may be considered a big fish in the little Middle East pond but Saddam Hussein was too and his country fell to the US in 3 WEEKS.
It is amazing that we are still putting up with these morons. We don't need their oil and they should be squashed like the annoying bugs that they are. I would love to see Israel obliterate their Command and Control structure and watch them stumble around blindly.

If someone shoots at me, I consider him an enemy, even if he is a lousy shot.
Biden should use his remaining brain cells and enforce the sanctions against Iran.

While the rest of the world laughs at Iran's ineptitude, CNN's Baghdad Bob tries to sell Iran's abject failure as a planned spectacle, intended only to make a statement. Well, the statement is they stand alone in the Middle East; an incompetent pariah hoping it lives past tomorrow.
