Downtown Los Angeles has been described as 'third world' after shocking footage revealed a homeless encampment with open fires in the street and trash-covered sidewalks.
The startling video, posted to X by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, shows dozens of homeless people sitting and standing on filthy sidewalks on the corner of San Pedro Street and 6th Street in the Skid Row neighborhood of LA.
Some are seen standing around an open fire in the street, just moments away from the Midnight Mission, a $17 million center for the homeless.

Just what the Dems ordered up. Open borders...and the third world flows over like a tidal wave of sewage.

RE #2, are you sure that isn't leprosy or tuberculosis?

Grateful that photographs and video be finding their way into bigger media. It will help people wake up that although LA is particularly bad, this is going on in many states. We need a crusader journalistic team to visit my state’s urban areas and others too. They need to show what Governors and Mayors do not want us to see. If Americans start seeing how widespread the decay, perhaps it will really motivate and energize good people even more to FIGHT for our beloved nation.

It's Commifornia's city on a hill. Fecal matter and urine everywhere. Trash everywhere. Rats (both the 4 legged and 2 legged) everywhere. You guys in Commiefornia voted them in office, you got exactly for what and whom you voted. Congrats.

Come on people, don't be so critical. They have outlawed plastic straws and utensils. Sheesh.

“In August it emerged that the city had resorted to sending mobile teams with oxygen cylinders to Skid Row in a desperate bid to prevent overdoses as the area becomes gripped by an opioid crisis.”
Until the drug issue is addressed nothing will happen. These are ADDICTS on the street and their motivation while they are high is to stay high. Take away their drugs and you’ll finally be able to make real headway in helping people.
Also remember - the people helping the homeless have that as their jobs, their income. Solve the homeless crisis and lots of people lose their livelihood. That needs to be addressed too.

Looks like Los Angles, the City of Angels, has changed a lot since Sargent Joe Friday protected and served there. The whole country will look like this if we can't get rid of Quid Pro Joe.

Send in Joe Friday and have a Dragnet episode of clearing this mess up.
You start having one, Another see's that one and you have two, Before you know it you have a campground and cooking fires and feces in the street.
It all starts by not Nipping it in the bud.
The same with Lunatics cutting off their penis and calling themselves women.
Declare the first one a lunatic and put him in a place where he cannot harm themselves, and the others do not evolve.

The social media influencers will tell you that LA is getting better and anyone that says otherwise is a liar that should be censored and banned. Actually, saw this in reference to NYC just today.

More sensationalist garbage from bored DMUK fake journalists. LA has been a cesspool for a number of years and is no worse today than it was three years ago when they adopted every homeless bum in Southern California and supplied him with needles and outdoor open air toilets.

Many years ago, CA decided to give checks to the homeless. As such, many homeless people now call CA home. Liberals never seem to understand the concept of cause and effect.

Scenes from Mad Max are now reality. Grew up in So Cal in the 1960's and left in 1974, when I joined the military. Thought about going back in the mid 90's but didnt. Looking back, best decision I ever made.
