At least eight states are planning to ban the sale of new gas-powered cars in the next decade - and others are considering joining them.
Only zero-emission vehicles can be sold in participating states beginning from the 2035 model year, according to the Advanced Clean Cars II legislation.
The rule, which was first adopted by California, means that automakers and dealerships would be banned from selling new gas cars in these states from that point onwards.
Americans will not be forced to take their gas-powered cars off the road, however, and will still be able to buy used and secondhand gas vehicles.

Are they planning to build walls to keep gas-powered cars out of their states?

Interesting that it is the same usual suspects who have outlawed any gun worth owning. We always knew why, but this is more evidence.
This will be gone soon. It cant work and if implemented will plunge those states into a depression.

Just let people connect the dots. Cranen Nuisance is the trailblazer in this tyranny. If he runs for Pres. he'll have to manufacture 50 millions votes. Turniphead only needed 30 million.

I will never buy an EV. They're bad for the environment, and dangerous in adverse weather conditions. Biden can go to hell.

Fantastic! More gasoline for those of us with more than half their brain still intact.
The Feds will need to ratchet up subsidy spending on EVs to make it look more attractive than ICE cars.

According to their chart, The Rust Belt cities are all near the bottom at adopting EV technology. Sounds like a good issue to sever them from the Democrat party forever.

Surprise, surprise - it is the left coast and upper east coast states. Too bad, so sad. No food or other products for them. Farmers and other producers won't be able to make their products or deliver them. I use my SUV to pick up smaller steel orders for hubby's weld shop. When we farmed, I used my larger SUV as a multi-purpose vehicle, hauled kids, grain, small animals - worked for me :) There is NO mass transit outside of the cities - what fools.

Delighted to see Delaware is one of the lucky states. Please send Odd Job from the James Bond movie Goldfinger to Quid Pro Joe's garage in Delaware to seize his ICE Corvette crush it into the size of a muffin and hang it around the First Fool's manhood.

Is it a coincidence that the ChiComs are building EV plants in Mexico to build cheap EVs and the 8 states pushing for EVs only? Gibbs Rule 39 applies here. The automotive Bloodbath begins.

I will never drive an electric vehicle. Until the car manufacturers come up with a different source of energy, outside of electricity, EVs won't make it. I believe the people buying them now is because it makes them green and that is all. Give me a gas powered car any day of the week, as I would never buy an electric car.

Good. Now they won't be able to drive to red states. Be quite a business opportunity to tow EVs back home from the state border.
