The Department of Justice (DOJ) and 16 states on Thursday filed a civil lawsuit against Apple Inc. and accused the company of illegally monopolizing the smartphone market. The DOJ and 16 state attorneys general claimed Apple attempted to limit competition, which harms consumers, small businesses, and app developers via the firm’s App Store and other Apple features. Apple has long placed significant restrictions on what can be downloaded through its App Store, saying that those rules are designed to bolster Apple device users’ privacy and security. But the broad suit accuses Apple of a range of illegal behavior, saying that it controls automotive services and news services, digital wallets, and puts restrictions

What "monopoly"? I have no particular love for iPhone, and while it tightly controls its own ecosystem of products and apps, it most definitely is not a monopoly. I currently own my fifth version of a Samsung Galaxy phone, and there are over a dozen other brands of smartphones you can buy. Apple is totally within its rights to protect its proprietary design, as are all the other manufacturers. This is more of the Democrat government's intended control of free market companies. Buzz off!

So, how much has Google paid the DOJ to harass Apple? Because Google's Android system has probably triple the market of Apple.

What a crock of crap. Remember when the Clinton DOJ spent more money going after Bill Gates and Microsoft over their Internet Explorer browser than they did going after Osama Bin Laden? Yes, kiddos, it really did happen that way. While Osama was blowing up embassies and navy ships, Bill Clinton prioritized a billionaire software geek over an Islamic Terrorist and his organization, and that was even after the first World Trade Center bombing in 1995!

I have an IPhone and Apple Tablet. Had an Android for several years and switched because the IPhone worked a little better for me. I may go back one day but that will be my choice. I don't need a corrupt federal government telling me what I need.

In 2011, Lesley Yates, a vibrant mother and teacher’s aide, suffered a medical crisis after receiving a routine antibiotics prescription for a suspected urinary tract infection. The aftermath left her with severe tendon injuries, culminating in a premature transition to permanent disability at the age of 54. Several doctors and experts dismissed her symptoms, Ms. Yates told The Epoch Times. Her story highlights the critical but underreported adverse effects associated with fluoroquinolone antibiotics—and the medical problems that arise in the absence of clear warnings of their risks. “I feel like a 90-year-old in a 50-year-old body,”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told visiting State Secretary Antony Blinken on Friday that Israel could launch a ground offensive in Gaza’s southernmost city Rafah “alone” without U.S. backing. Mr. Blinken met with the Israeli leader in Tel Aviv on March 22 and urged Israel not to invade Rafah, saying that such an action “risks wreaking greater havoc.” “As we’ve said, though, a major military ground operation in Rafah is not the way to do it,” Mr. Blinken said at a press conference in Tel Aviv.

A correspondent who knows precisely the type of things that I habitually complain about (and without such complaint I would have nothing to say) kindly drew my attention to the proposed Obama Center in Chicago. The Center is completely mad, the madness in question being an attack of megalomania that makes the Pyramid of Cheops seem like a statement of modesty by the pharaoh. The vast proposed building is in Jackson Park, and it was the subject of legal actions because a group called Protect Our Parks believed that it was contrary to the covenant governing the park’s usage: but, perhaps not surprisingly, the friends of Obama won the actions.

The issue that should draw the biggest concern is how the regulation originates; what is the impetus; who are the beneficiaries? The regulation itself did not originate in the EPA,

Florida Democrats chose to award President Joe Biden the state’s delegates in November instead of holding a presidential primary vote, presumably to protect the unpopular incumbent. But it appears the move backfired and led to a wipeout of Democrats in local races. Florida Democrat Party leaders awarded Biden the state’s 224 delegates months ago and cancelled the primary, in a move Biden’s Democrat challengers called “intentional disenfranchisement” and said was “done obviously in secret, obviously to help the incumbent Joe Biden.” The lack of a statewide Democrat primary meant registered Democrats had less reason to turn out on Tuesday than Republicans, who decisively voted for former President Donald Trump

Due to disagreements between the parties on whether to consider several amendments, the bills weren't passed prior to the 12:01 a.m. deadline on Saturday.
