There has been an incredible amount of data out there suggesting the Democrats - and Joe Biden in particular - are losing nonwhite voters. Hispanic- and Asian-American voters voting Republican more and more, and Black voters seem inclined to just stay home. In truth, the Democrats have been taking those voters for granted, and have sought to build and maintain a permanent political majority with them, to the point that they are even admitting that it's the whole reason they want more illegal immigrants to come into the country.
But the even trickier situation now is that they aren't just

Twitter/X owner Elon Musk was busy posting to the social media platform that he owns Friday and Saturday, interspersing stories of SpaceX rockets taking off with searing political commentary about the state of our nation under Joe Biden and the Democrats. One of his main concerns is illegal immigration, where under the Biden administration, as many as 10 million people have slipped into the country. Biden has made no effort to secure the border and casts blame everywhere he can think of – except on his own disastrous policies.
Musk calls the president’s approach “insane” as he reacts to the awful story of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley's murder

It is always fun to get good news from the New York Times, which always try to spin the data so it doesn’t look too bad for Democrats. A case in point: “Share of Democratic Registrations Is Declining, but What Does It Mean? Virtually every group of voters under 70 has become less likely to register as Democrats compared with Republicans since 2019.”
The heading and subhed pretty much tell the story, but here is more:
Newly registered voters, who are disproportionately young and nonwhite, have tended to lean Democratic.
That’s been less and less true during the Biden era.

Florida is a “solid red” state, the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) says amid continued chatter of a Trump vs. Biden matchup in key swing states. But Florida, noticeably, has been absent from this conversation, and for good reason, according to the Florida GOP.
Following Nikki Haley’s departure from the Republican primary race after Super Tuesday, former President Donald Trump essentially became the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party. And while there has been a bit of speculation on President Joe Biden’s political future given mounting worries over his physical health and mental fitness, all signs point to a Trump vs. Biden rematch.

Actress Gina Carano, who has recently filed a lawsuit against Disney for firing her from The Mandalorian for merely expressing opinions, decried Hollywood’s “unforgivable sin” of punishing those who do not perfectly conform to a given agenda.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Carano said that Hollywood’s “unforgivable sin” is being “a person who wouldn’t perfectly conform at a time when emotions were running wild in the world.”
As Breitbart News reported, Carano filed a wrongful termination suit against Disney after the corporation fired her for expressing contrary opinions to the company’s left-leaning agenda – a punishment they did not inflict upon Carano’s male

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” former Attorney General Eric Holder commented on President Joe Biden’s poll numbers by stating that “as the media turns its attention to making this a binary choice between a person who’s got some age and cognitive issues — that would be Trump — against somebody who has actually accomplished a lot, I think we’ll do just fine.”
Host Bill Maher asked, “What do you make of the fact that the Democrats, by every poll I read, are, I would just say, losing their base? If you look at non-white working-class voters, there has been a 61-point shift, that’s an incredible amount, from 2012,

Chicago will evict some 5,600 illegal immigrants from city shelters in waves beginning on Sunday, as Mayor Brandon Johnson’s new rule limiting migrant shelter stays to 60 days takes effect.
Thirty-four illegal immigrants will be evicted on Saturday as the policy finally kicks in, after having been delayed on multiple occasions since November because of cold weather.
While exemptions will be made for illegal immigrants who have medical conditions, are in the process of securing housing, are experiencing domestic violence, or are pregnant, others who have overstayed the 60-day limit will be evicted in the coming weeks and told to report back to the city’s “landing zone,”

I have long been wondering about Qatar's willingness to host Hamas' leadership post-10/7.
As non-Western as Qatar is, the Emirate has been working assiduously to court Western approval and is hardly a radical Islamist state. This is not to suggest the regime is liberal or Liberal, but rather that they aren't exactly Iranian-style fanatics. The state is pretty much what you would expect in a country that is in a dangerous region filled with radicals but with an elite who are Western-educated and resolutely capitalist.
I had long suspected that Western governments had given implicit approval for Qatar's hosting of the radical Islamist terrorist group's

Fulton County special prosecutor Nathan Wade resigned from the office Friday after a judge ruled either he or District Attorney Fani Willis must step aside from her office’s election subversion case against Donald Trump after revelations of their romantic relationship.
“I am proud of the work our team has accomplished in investigating, indicting, and litigating this case,” Wade wrote in a one-page letter. “Seeking justice for the people of Georgia and the United States, and being part of the effort to ensure that the rule of law and democracy are preserved, has been the honor of a lifetime.”

The Brooklyn straphanger who shot a berserk rider attacking him on a rush-hour train Thursday will not be charged, prosecutors said Friday.
“Yesterday’s shooting inside a crowded subway car was shocking and deeply upsetting,’’ Oren Yaniv, a spokesman for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, said in an e-mailed statement.
“The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing but, at this stage, evidence of self-defense precludes us from filing any criminal charges against the shooter.” The shot man, Dajuan Robinson, 36, had brought the gun on the train and whipped it out during his attack on a stranger, who shot Robinson in the head as the pair wrestled over it.

The Supreme Court ruled Friday that public officials may block people on social media in certain circumstances, tossing aside challenges against local government officials in Michigan and California who blocked followers who were critical of them on Facebook.
In a unanimous opinion written by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, the court set a clearer standard for when public officials are state actors online and when they can have more control over their social media presence. A second opinion dealing with a related dispute was unsigned and there were no noted dissents.
In an era when public officials often communicate with voters through social media, the cases raised important First Amendment questions

A cockpit accident was the likely cause of a sudden drop that sent passengers on a LATAM Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner bouncing 'off the roof' during a flight to New Zealand, according to The Wall Street Journal.
U.S. industry officials briefed on preliminary evidence from an investigation of the incident told the paper that a cockpit mishap may have pushed a pilot into the controls of the plane.
According to the report, a LATAM Airlines flight attendant hit a switch on the pilot's seat while serving a meal, activating a motorized feature that pushed the pilot into the controls and sent the plane into a nose dive, the officials said.
