President Joe Biden marked the beginning of Ramadan by issuing a statement recognizing the “moment of immense pain” for many Muslim Americans while affirming his efforts to deliver humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Biden, who says he is pushing to establish a truce in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, wrote in the statement Sunday evening: Tonight—as the new crescent moon marks the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan—Jill and I extend our best wishes and prayers to Muslims across our country and around the world.
The sacred month is a time for reflection and renewal. This year, it comes at a moment of

President Joe Biden's budget proposal includes a 25% tax hike on billionaires, tax breaks for families, new social programs, and lower health care costs - all designed to appeal to voters as he seeks a second term.
His plan, released on Monday, will serve as important message to voters as he seeks to reassure them about his stewardship of the economy and his plans to lower the deficit.
It will also serve as a contrast between his vision for the country and that of his rival Donald Trump.

Trust is foundational in relationships, whether between individuals or between individuals and institutions. A Gallup survey from last summer found, “Americans’ faith in major societal institutions hasn’t improved over the past year following a slump in public confidence in 2022.” (snip) Doctors, hospitals, and healthcare systems used to be held in high esteem, but no more. Aren’t these the “experts” in white coats? What happened to that trust? Why do only 1 in 3 Americans trust what was once a sacred healing profession? (snip) What is interesting is the partisan divide, with Democrats far more trusting in medical instructions than Republicans.

Peter Navarro, a former trade adviser to President Donald Trump who was convicted of contempt of Congress, has been ordered to report to prison next week.
Arrival at a Miami detention facility on or before March 19 will see him begin serving a four-month sentence for refusing to comply with an order from the now-defunct House Jan. 6 select committee. Navarro, 74, was convicted last year on two counts of contempt of Congress — one for failing to produce documents related to the probe and another for skipping his deposition. Fifty-seven percent of Democrat voters would oppose Congress certifying the 2024 election if former President Donald Trump wins, a Rasmussen Reports poll found Monday.
The poll asked likely voters: “Some Democrats in Congress have said that if Trump wins this year’s election, they will vote against certifying the election results because of Trump’s role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots. Do you support or oppose Democrats refusing to certify the election results if Trump wins?”
57 percent of Democrats would oppose certification.
Nearly two-thirds of “liberals” said they would oppose certification.

There is a hilarious YouTube video titled What NYC is Now mocking the disgraceful state of the city’s lawless state that is now a haven for criminals.
The video may be in fun, but is sadly based on fact.
Far too many edicts coming from Mayor Eric Adams’ administration are simply mind-boggling. The city has been invaded by illegal immigrants from several countries and the mayor has ordered that they be sheltered in hotels, schools and senior residencies, displacing senior veterans, and resident citizens. In addition, a pilot program will be giving them $10,000 prepaid debit cards to buy certain items. What?!!

The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) issued a memo scolding firefighters it says brought "discredit" to the department after booing New York Attorney General Letitia James and cheering for former President Trump at a promotion ceremony last week, warning those who took part to protest on their own time, according to a report.
Following a New York Post report about the leaked memo, FDNY spokesman Jim Long confirmed to Fox News Digital on Monday morning that chief officers went to firehouses over the weekend to discuss the events of Thursday and speak to the concerns and disappointment with the behavior shown during James' remarks.

New York City has quietly approved a controversial green plan to require pizzerias and matzah bakeries using decades-old wood- and coal-fired stoves to cut their smoky pollutants by 75%.
Mayor Eric Adams’ Department of Environmental Protection said the fresh edict takes effect April 27, with some city businesses having already coughed up more than $600,000 for new smoke-eating systems in anticipation of the expected mandate. (snip) But Adams has defended the mandate for the Big Apple, which was recently named the most expensive city to get a slice of pizza in the country.

After President Joe Biden said Saturday that Israel invading the Gazan city of Rafah, where many refugees from northern Gaza have relocated, would be a "red line" regarding America's support, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu replied that Israel will indeed invade Rafah because his own red line is "that October 7th doesn't happen again, never happens again." Netanyahu's remarks also come amid reports that the Biden administration is attempting regime change in Israel, and after Biden was caught in a hot mic moment after Thursday's State of the Union address saying that he was going to have a "come to Jesus" moment with "Bibi."

Producer Rob Reiner’s anti-Christian smear, God & Country: The Rise of Christian Nationalism, limped out of theaters after grossing a hilarious $60,464 worldwide.
Basically, that’s fewer than 7,000 tickets sold in a country of 350 million. (snip) That’s fewer than 7,000 tickets sold, even after producer Rob Reiner got all kinds of free media from countless corporate media outlets. (snip) If you divide those 3.5 tickets per day into six showings a day, that works out to 3/5th of a ticket sold per showing. (snip) Rob Reiner really should be the poster boy for white privilege.

The pilot of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner that plunged suddenly en route from Sydney to Auckland on Monday, injuring 50 people, reportedly told passengers after the terrifying incident that his “gauges just blanked out” and he “lost all ability to fly the plane”.
Twelve passengers were hospitalised and dozens injured after a “major incident” on board LATAM flight LA800 caused the plane to dip violently, with ambulances rushing to Auckland Aiport just before 4pm local time.
The Chilean airline said an unspecified “technical problem” caused “strong movement” in the air. Unrestrained passengers were sent flying through the cabin and into the ceiling, with some left covered in blood. Video
