Speaking to an audience of devoted fans at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville last Friday, Donald Trump said if re-elected president he will "... create a new federal task force on fighting anti-Christian bias. ... Its mission will be to investigate all forms of illegal discrimination, harassment and persecution against Christians in America."Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of the mega First Baptist Church in Dallas, said Trump's speech " was the most powerfully pro-Christian speech I've ever heard from any president. He will win the Christian vote in a landslide!"

I'm one of our non-Christian LDotters, and I just dont see it. I've seen very little religious discrimination in my life, and what I have seen has been from Christians toward others. Even so it has been minuscule. One of the most pious Christians where I used to work turned out to be an alcoholic who dumped his wife of 50 years and ran off with a company hottie. Like so many others, his talk of God was all fake. We have bigger fish to fry.

Sorry, #1, your anti-Christian bias is showing. Not the first time either. Don't look at Christians, look at Christ and His claims and deeds. Neutral you cannot be.

While it would be nice to see a massive turnout of Christians for Republicans, including Trump, this November, I doubt it will happen. Far too many are told by Democrats they should not vote for X candidate due to the abortion issue, which suppresses those votes into not voting. Democrats realize if they can suppress the Christian votes they need fewer for their candidate to win, and they ONLY care about winning. The problem for Christians, the Democrats won't support any of your other issues so you get ZERO representation instead of a candidate that will support most other parts of your concerns. After all, why would the Democrat party be talking about abortion in California (where it was voted into the State Constitution in 2022 so not an issue of being denied that procedure - even pushed the idea of being an abortion destination)? Particularly on conservative talk radio.

The House majority ran through New York in 2022. The red wave that pundits predicted never made its way ashore nationally, but it definitely washed over the landscape here in New York. Running as one team, we campaigned hard and flipped many House seats from Democrat to Republican in purple, suburban districts. New Yorkers were able to cast their votes in some of the most competitive races in the country, and we ultimately decided control of the House of Representatives.

It is not my habit to read Paul Krugman’s screeds, much less recommend them, but every dog has its day. And Krugman’s latest piece commands attention because of what he inadvertently reveals about elite ignorance. Under the headline “The Mystery of White Rural Rage,” the New York Times columnist approvingly cites a book that details the decline of rural America. Spoiler alert: Technology gets the blame. But Krugman, an economist, quickly adds, “I still don’t get the politics” of rural Americans, and later writes, “I still find it hard to understand” recent voting patterns.

On March 5, 1946, Winston Churchill made his famous post-World War II speech in which he observed how “an iron curtain has descended across the Continent. Behind that line lie all the capitals of the ancient states of Central and Eastern Europe… this is certainly not the Liberated Europe we fought to build up.” That “iron curtain” would become literal with the construction of the Berlin Wall which would not come down until November 9, 1989. Events would then snowball. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics would formally dissolve on December 26, 1991,

The resignation letter was short and direct. “I can no longer be under an oath to uphold the New Constitution of Ohio,” wrote Sabrina Warner in her letter announcing she was stepping down from the state’s Republican central committee. It was just days after Ohio voters resoundingly approved an amendment last November to the state constitution ensuring access to abortion and other forms of reproductive health care. For many, the vote was a victory after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a constitutional right to abortion in 2022.

Mark Zuckerberg will attempt to wriggle out of being held personally liable in two dozen lawsuits accusing Meta of addicting children to the company’s social media networks during a hearing in a California court Friday. Lawyers for Zuckerberg, the world’s fourth richest person, are expected to make the case to dismiss any litigation against him, which would not impact the allegations against Meta, Bloomberg reported. Zuckerberg did not attend the hearing. The Facebook and Instagram parent company has come under fire for not doing enough to protect children from scams like “sextortion,” where criminals trick kids into sending sexually explicit photos or videos and then threaten to release them unless they pay.

When President Biden tries to brag about the economy, he’s attempting to steal credit for the economic success of red states. Republican-controlled states are continuing to achieve exciting policy wins, including more than two-dozen state income tax cuts since 2020. Bloomberg reported the Southeast now accounts for over two-thirds of U.S. job growth since 2020. Wages grew at a higher rate in red states than blue states from 2022-23. Companies earned more in these states. “For the first time in our nation’s history, just six states in the Southeast, including Tennessee,

An Alabama court ruling that frozen embryos created through fertility treatment are children has delivered an election-year opportunity for Democrats - and a political headache for Republicans. US President Joe Biden's party is already campaigning on the controversy, casting November's vote as a fight over reproductive rights. For Republicans, the row could pose an obstacle in their carefully laid plans to win back suburban women and swing voters. At least three fertility clinics in Alabama have paused in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) since last week's ruling.

Vladimir Putin set up Tucker Carlson by murdering Alexis Navalny just days after Tucker‘s controversial visit to Moscow and interview. That’s what happens when a scorpion rides on your back – it’s going to sting you to death even if it’s riding you across the river and will end up drowning itself, too. But the frenzy over Tucker Carlson‘s visit is still massively overblown, and the intensity of it by the ruling class is less an indication of righteous indignation than an attempt to distract from modern America’s shortcomings.

Mayor Eric Adams stunningly reversed course on plans to turn an abandoned luxury Harlem condominium complex into a migrant shelter when he was met with community outrage Thursday night. Adams’ change of heart came during a surprise appearance at a St. Nicholas House Resident Association meeting packed with dozens of residents furious over the city’s plan for a building development on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd once marketed as upscale housing. The 35-story building was quietly slated to become a homeless shelter that could potentially house migrants — a plan that was only revealed to the community this week when some neighborhood residents saw workers bringing bed frames and mattresses inside.

A New York court delivered a crushing blow Friday to Donald Trump’s wallet by ordering the real estate tycoon to pay some $355 million after finding him liable of inflating his net worth by billions a year to get better loan and insurance terms. But it’s unlikely that Trump’s name will be erased from the Big Apple skyline after Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron rejected the New York Attorney General’s request to permanently bar him from doing business in the state where he shot to fame. Here’s what the ruling means for Trump’s real estate empire, his family company — and his wallet:

New York Attorney General Letitia James is suing JBS USA, the world's largest producer of beef, over the company's emissions and for "greenwashing" by allegedly misleading the public about its environmental impact. In an announcement, James noted that beef production has the largest greenhouse gas footprint of any major food commodity and that animal agriculture accounts for 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. According to James, JBS USA's various net-zero pledges for 2030 and 2040 are therefore misleading and "not feasible" given the scope of its worldwide beef production operations.

History has branded that game… “The Miracle on Ice.” See, in real life miracles do happen. We live in a negative, cynical world. Few of us really believe in miracles…and even fewer believe a miracle is happening, even when it’s happening right in front of us. But miracles happen all the time. I believe a miracle, sent directly by God, is happening right in front of us, right now. You just have to open your eyes.

A federal judge on Thursday blocked a Texas law that would have empowered local and state law enforcement to arrest and deport illegal immigrants who cross the Southern border into the U.S. The legislation, signed by Governor Greg Abbott in December, was set to take effect March 5. However, U.S. district judge David Ezra ruled that Senate Bill 4 violated the Constitution and prior legal precedent that gives the federal government the sole authority to enforce immigration laws and policies. “To allow Texas to permanently supersede federal directives on the basis of an invasion would amount to nullification of federal law and authority — a notion that is antithetical to the Constitution

A Chicago police officer is suing the city to change his race on his official records after the department said it would allow officers to freely change their gender to match their identity. Mohammad Yusuf, 43, said in a federal civil rights lawsuit filed last week that he is looking to change from “Caucasian” as he “currently identifies as Egyptian and African American.” However, the Chicago Police Department is not allowing him to change his race. The lawsuit comes as the department allows an officer’s “gender identity [to be] corrected to match their lived experience,” Yusuf’s lawsuit alleges.
