On Tuesday, the Supreme Court declined to review a 4th Circuit ruling regarding racial discrimination in high school admissions. Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas issued a dissent that can be described as "fiery." Two of the Supreme Court’s conservative justices issued a fiery dissent Tuesday after the high court declined to hear a case challenging a Virginia high school’s admissions program that allegedly discriminates against Asian Americans.
A coalition of parents of students at Thomas Jefferson High School, the nation’s top-ranked high school, appealed to the Supreme Court claiming that the Ivy League feeder imposes a roundabout way of filtering for race in admissions that they say violates

Black people do not like Asians, either. They came to this country and got to work. They invested their money in their businesses and brought more family members over and helped them get set up. They were self supporting. No Welfare for them.

This will benefit the non-Asian white students by reducing the competition from top Asian students. Never underestimate the power of unintended consequences once you start picking winners and losers.

Its a liberal tradition to discriminate against Asians. It started when FDR threw American citizens into concentration camps just because they were Japanese.

#7, Did you ever consider that Trump picked the best that the powers that be had to offer? Additionally, how many nominees say what will get them on the court and then for whatever reason change their thinking? It takes integrity to maintain a conservative viewpoint especially in Washington. Those justices are not immune from the pressure of the town and their peers. I am thoroughly disappointed in some that Trump picked but I know they are multitudes better than any nominee a democrat would offer. Personally, I believe their position on the court gets in their head and they worry more about their reputation than they do the law. They want to make a mark on the court, and unfortunately, ego gets in the way. The SCOTUS is not above worrying about how they are perceived.

Let's remember, (alleged) conservative justice are human and they and families face threats from "outside forces" (Like Schumer and the protesters he inspired). Schumer should have been arrested and perp walked after he made his "whirlwind speech" a couple of years ago. Happy that Thomas and Alito stood strong.

The acid test for the three Trump appointed ones will come when a majority of the nation's Attorneys General bring a complaint of violation of the rights of their citizens due to ballot fraud committed in Blue States. Last time they were intimidated into sitting on their thumbs. Now, with full knowledge, let see what they do.

Leftist humanists always pit "whites" against "blacks" in their narratives to polarize American society however, it was WHITES who freed black slaves at the cost of hundreds of thousands of WHITE lives. That number is far higher than the number who died from any white slave owners' mistreatment of their chattel. Besides, there were BLACK slaveowners back then too. One even had as many as 150 slaves serving him on his plantation.
The reality is that importing Asians, Hispanics, and Blacks into this country will bring us closer to another civil war than the likelihood of another civil war between blacks and whites. None of those mentioned like the other.

The Supremes have been bought off...with funds or with some black history to blackmail them...I suspect...President Trump will have a rough go with their findings....come time to challenge the court findings....in his cases...

Thomas Jefferson HS is a magnet public school in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. It serves residents of several Northern Virginia counties and and admission is by testing and academic record and of course racial silo. I talked to a teacher some years back who was involved in admissions and she freely admitted that they accepted nearly every black student who could even come close to white and Asian standards. This puts most of them in the bottom 25% of the class and that winds up being represented in drop out rates and grades. The DC metro area has a huge number of highly educated and wealthy families and thus a disproportionate number of very high achieving students. My own son attended a Magnet in the Maryland suburbs and I could tell the race of the kids in the program from the address. If there was an apartment number they were Asian because for those kids wealth and education did not matter. Culture trumped everything else. If you went into the main county library you would think you were in Hong Kong. There sat Pop and the kids were doing their homework. You had to look hard for a black or white or Hispanic kid hitting the books. I don't know if Asians are smarter than the rest of us but I know for sure they work harder and that for fairness and the good of the country deserves to be rewarded.

Families from Asian and eastern countries scrimp and save and plan to send their children to our American universities, where those students do NOT party hardy and let their studies slide. For some reason, Americans have forsaken the high value once placed on getting a classical education.
