By now, everyone in the entire world heard about a New York federal jury’s award of $83 million dollars to E. Jean Carroll against Donald J. Trump for what she claims was a sexual assault in a Bergdorf’s dressing room. The verdict itself consists of $18.3 million dollars in compensatory damages and $65 million in punitive damages. What virtually no one reports is these damage awards are grossly excessive. The overwhelming likelihood is Donald Trump won’t have to pay anywhere near this amount of money, even if his efforts to reverse the verdict altogether fail. Let’s take a closer look at the reasons why.

I suppose my question would be, how does one "defame" a reputation that's a dumpster fire to start with and scarcely worth twenty cents, much less 83 million.

Damages can't be reduced enough to remove the stain upon PDJT's public persona. This was a litigious lottery win for her & these leeches: smut-raking spaghetti throwers. If she gets a dime there needs to be an OMG or other actual investigative reporter to track who gets the payola from this looney toon fembot-wannabe.

Along with the ridiculous monetary awards; will the court address the special, time limited law passed in NY to specially allow Carroll to sue Trump in the first place?

The actual facts do not matter to the anti-Trump crowd. It’s a deliberate sham to get him out of the way; however and whatever it takes. The truth be damned.

if I am not mistaken she also committed perjury - the designer dress she said he ripped off of her was not marketed until years later. Plus her description of tge assault was the same as a TV cop show from around 2010.

Whatever happened to ex post facto? This should go all the way to the Supreme Court.

The sixth amendment supposedly guarantees citizens the right to a speedy trial, an impartial jury, and assumption of innocence until proven guilty. President Trump is a citizen, yet none of these guarantees apply in this case. It is shameful and a continuation to the destruction of this flawed but once great and unique country. The same applies to most of those persecuted in the January six event. Shame on us.

Yep, Colorado accused him of a insurrection he had nothing to do with and he was never tried for, and this blood sucking female accused him of a rape he never went to trial for and was never convicted of.
All she remembers of that day is the accusation

How can he have "Defamed" her...when she became MORE famous after he responded with a denial to her defamatory accusations that HE was a Rapist?(he was acquitted of the Rape charges, by a jury of HER peers)
How can his statements have caused "Damages" when her income increased many fold after them?
She spent 20 years as a "Dating and Relationship" coach, columnist, therapist, commentator...and "Expert", yet in her testimony she claims as proof of "Damages" that she has not had ANY relationships, not even a single DATE in 20 years.
Her entire CAREER was/is a LIE.

I’m waiting for Trump to counter sue her on defamation charges for calling him a rapist. That is certainly worse than being called a liar or a nut case. She should also pay punitive damages for trying to destroy Trump’s presidency and reelection.

This lawsuit has never been about the verdict because democrats intended that the process would be the punishment. Carroll made an absurd allegation that should never have seen the inside of a courtroom.
All democrats wanted was an accusation they could run with and use as a weapon against President Trump. Since the Carroll case was so effective I would urge Juanita Broderick to get herself down to the courthouse forthwith. The Carroll case like the rest of the lawfare cases is but a weapon to use against Trump. It has no basis in reality and has no legal merit. This is political prosecution perpetrated by an illegitimate administration to interfere in a Presidential election. It is how the democrat party rolls. They will put you in jail or bankrupt you if you oppose them. You can tell how far down the abyss this country has fallen when a travesty like this can be perpetrated with very little push back from our esteemed legal community. We are no longer a nation of laws but are now a nation of men and the majority of those men are corrupt to the core.

This loon lost any empathy from anyone left who was dumb enough to believe her when she made her giddy little girl comments about how she would spend the money. Her attorney wanted to crawl under the table. This was very obviously a political shakedown bankrolled by a wealthy leftist. I’m betting she never sees a penny of it. If Trump pays any of it, it will go to her attorneys. She’s a shmuck.

545,000 New Yorkers moved out of the state in 2022 and the numbers that left in 2023 are being withheld. In other news over $2+ trillion in wealth have left the state in 10 years. The judicial travesty will only accelerate as the only people left will be Democrats and grifters. Which are one in the same.

Any woman who would say rape is "Kind of sexy" should not be allowed to sue anyone for rape. Rape is an act of
VIOLENCE against any woman and this nut case should know it. This case is a pure political hit job aimed to hurt Trump.
How many demons from hell have been released to pursue President Trump during this election year? It must be
thousands. God help President Trump, our nation, and our judicial system!
