The U.S. used a multi-bladed weapon to kill Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah leader Abu Baqr al-Saadi in February.
The U.S. targeted al-Saadi in Iraq on Feb. 7 out of retaliation for Kataib Hezbollah’s attacks against a military base in Jordan in late January that killed three U.S. troops. The weapon that was used to kill al-Saadi is a modified hellfire “flying ginsu” missile wielding six long blades, which was previously unreported in the aftermath of the strike, defense officials told The Wall Street Journal. The AGM-114 R9X hellfire missile, sometimes referred to as a Ginsu or a ninja bomb, does not contain a warhead and does not explode on impact, instead

We have all these fancy weapons and kill the top terrorist at least weekly, but we never seem to win. Could it be that, as with the war on drugs, winning is not the objective. Keeping the war going is.

In 2022 UBL's Al Qaeda lieutenant, Dr. Ayman al-Zawahri, standing on a balcony in Kabul, was despatched by one of these devices. Needing no high explosives, six eighteen inch blades pop out just before impact. Flying machetes. It's pleasing to think that the bad doctor got cut to pieces before he had the chance to holler wahoo snackbar for the last time before his soul's trip below. Boy, did he have it coming. All that, and Hades to boot. Being born was a bad idea for this guy. Now he regrets his life's choices.

Can these things be made to self destruct so the enemy cannot copy them?

Geez...I think I would rather be blown to smithereens a la Soleimani. I guess it’s useful to avoid collateral injuries to nearby innocents who I doubt are all that innocent themselves.

So, Joe, how is this morally superior to what Netanyahu has to do?

#4 - There's not much left of the weapon that can be reverse-engineered after impact. And even if the bad guys had one, targeting would be a whole new challenge.

So far they seem to be hitting our enemy in areas away from the U.S. What is going to happen when some of them start to be incoming? I can't get the picture out of my mind of the terrorists coming in by air to the Israeli festival. Will we somewhere suffer the same fate from some of the 8 million illegals who have been let into our country?

Number 11, aircraft carriers do indeed use catapults in this modern era. They are used to launch the aircraft off the deck. Zero to 150 mph in about two seconds.
