America First Legal on Tuesday filed a California bar complaint against Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Kevin Morris, for allegedly violating “both the text of the Rules of Professional Conduct and the well-established norms of the legal profession” of the California Bar Association. (snip) Morris’ financial aid to Hunter “is expressly prohibited by State Bar of California Rule 1.8.5(a),” America First Legal’s complaint contends. The rule is “intended to prevent the abuses which were criminalized under the principles of champerty and maintenance,” the legal defense fund argued.

Rule 1.8.5 Payment of Personal or Business Expenses Incurred by or for a Client (Rule Approved by the Supreme Court, Effective November 1, 2018) (a) A lawyer shall not directly or indirectly pay or agree to pay, guarantee, or represent that the lawyer or lawyer's law firm* will pay the personal or business expenses of a prospective or existing client. (c) “Costs” within the meaning of paragraphs (b)(3) and (b)(4) are not limited to those costs that are taxable or recoverable under any applicable statute or rule of court but may include any reasonable* expenses of litigation, including court costs, and reasonable* expenses in preparing for litigation or in providing other legal services to the client. (d) Nothing in this rule shall be deemed to limit the application of rule 1.8.9.

Doesn't Hunter have to pay taxes on the financial support of a non-family member? I forgot - his last name is Biden so he doesn't have to pay taxes.

Even simpler is "Money Laundering", Hunter testified he had "NO Financial interests" in the Chinese partnered Company, received no compensation from it, had no need to file FARA documents for it, had divested himself completely from it. He did this by simply signing it all over to Morris, who then gifted/granted, loaned, provided $millions in cash, credit, housing, transportation, and representation to Hunter. Paying his back Tax Bills, paying his delinquent alimony, child care, and spousal support Bills...and paying to send him to yet another rehab....letting him live for a while in a house owned by Morris, then paying the rent on another house contracted by/trough Morris. Flying him around on private jets contracted or owned by Morris. While Morris represented him in numerous ways that he claims were "ProBono". All of this was excluded from being reported as Income/assets in Hunters various spousal/child support and Alimony cases.

America First Legal is Stephen Miller's baby. You may recall he's the attorney who worked for Trump in the White House and contributed substantially to some of Trump's official speeches and addresses!

Perhaps more investigations into personal ancestries will help calm the pathological madness at the root of modern racial obsessions. On Tuesday’s episode of PBS’ “Finding Your Roots,” host Henry Louis Gates Jr. sprang a shocking surprise on LeVar Burton, who rose to fame as a young actor in the legendary 1977 slavery-themed miniseries “Roots.” Based on DNA tests and extensive historical research, Burton, who is black, learned that he had a white great-great-grandfather who served in the Confederate Army’s junior reserves.

Pope Francis has urged members of the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting at Davos this week to promote “far-sighted and ethically sound” models of globalization. The World Economic Forum “aims to guide and strengthen political will and mutual cooperation,” the pontiff told them, and “provides an important opportunity for multi-stakeholder engagement to explore innovative and effective ways to build a better world.” The process of globalization has by now “clearly demonstrated the interdependence of the world’s nations and peoples,” the pope said, and thus has “a fundamentally moral dimension.”

Federal investigators asked financial institutions to use search terms such as “TRUMP” and “MAGA” when combing over customer data in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, Rep. The request came from the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen), according to documents obtained by the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. The panel, headed by Jordan, demanded testimony from the agency’s former Strategic Operations Division director Noah Bishoff as part of a probe into what the Ohio Republican called an “alarming” case of “pervasive financial surveillance” seemingly conducted “on the basis of protected political” speech.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week that Israel cannot defeat Hamas — that there is no “military solution,” and that Israel will have to accept a Palestinian state. Netanyahu reportedly rejected the idea. NBC News reported Wednesday that Blinken, and Biden, are therefore trying to work around Netanyahu — the democratically-elected leader of Israel — in a departure from the Biden administration’s posture as the supposed defender of democratic ideals: Blinken told Netanyahu that ultimately there is no military solution to Hamas, according to the officials, and that the Israeli leader needs to recognize that or history will repeat itself and violence will continue.
