Los Angeles— The moon landing, the Beatles’ first appearance on American TV and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have a Dream” speech are among the 75 Most Impactful Television Moments as ranked by the Television Academy before Monday’s 75th edition of the Emmy Awards.
Academy members from the television industry collaborated with academics to cull eight decades of TV history and vote on the list that was revealed Friday. Atop it they put Apollo 11’s 1969 first landing on the moon, and Neil Armstrong’s declaration of a “giant leap for mankind.” In second they put coverage of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, and

One of the things that has become evident during the time of Joe Biden occupying the White House is how much better former President Donald Trump was in so many ways, particularly on policy. Which may explain why, under Trump, we had no new wars and peace agreements, and under Biden we have more wars and chaos. For example, Trump had the Houthis listed as terrorists. Once Biden came in, he delisted them, and we can see how that has emboldened them. Further, he coddled Iran, which is backing them, and freed up funds for them. Not a smart move.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has released a video and launched a website on Friday declaring that he is "never Nikki" Haley in the 2024 presidential race.
The Kentucky Republican made the announcement in a clip posted on X, in which he said, "I’ve had a long relationship with Donald Trump and there is a lot to like there" and that "I am also a big fan of a lot of the fiscal conservatism of Ron DeSantis."
"I think Vivek Ramaswamy has been an important voice. Also, I've listened to and met with the independent Bobby Kennedy," he continued. "I’m not yet ready to make a decision, but I am ready

A huge 93 percent of stock market wealth in the US is held by the richest 10 percent of the population - a new record.
While Americans on the whole have been investing in the stock market at a higher rate, the amount of wealth held is still skewed toward the richest households.
According to Federal Reserve data, 92.5 percent of equities are held by the richest 10 percent of Americans - meaning it is largely the already-wealthy who are benefiting from last year's stock market boom.

For years now, a number of mostly Eastern European nations have been arguing that, if they are going to accept any refugees from the Muslim world, they prefer Christians. Hungary, for example, has apparently been doing just that.
To this, the official western response has been to cry “racism!” Barack Obama, for instance, once called such a suggestion “shameful,” loftily adding: “That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion.” It was later revealed that his administration was doing precisely that -- but in reverse: discriminating against persecuted Christian asylum seekers, while favoring Muslims.

Fears of an all-out regional war in the Middle East are growing as Houthi rebels say the US and UK will pay a “heavy price” for striking more than a dozen targets in Yemen.
In a recorded address, Houthi military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said 73 strikes hit five regions of Yemen under their control on Thursday — killing at least five people and wounding six others.
“The American and British enemy bears full responsibility for its criminal aggression against our Yemeni people, and it will not go unanswered and unpunished,” he said.
Senior Houthi official Hussein al-Ezzi also said in a Google-translated post on X: “America and Britain will

The CEO of the left-wing legal group behind former President Donald Trump’s removal from the Colorado ballot went to the Biden White House multiple times last year, visitor logs show.
Noah Bookbinder, president and CEO of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), visited the White House twice in 2023, visitor logs from January to September 2023 indicate. He first visited on Jan. 6, 2023, the two-year anniversary of the 2021 Capitol riot, to watch Biden award the Presidential Citizens Medal to law enforcement officers who responded to the unrest, a CREW spokesperson told the Caller. The visitor logs appear to confirm Bookbinder’s attendance at the event.

President Joe Biden has changed the way he gives White House tours to some of his biggest donors, and he did so on advice of counsel.
That, of course, strongly implies that the way the president had been conducting such tours in the past violated the law — a point left-leaning Axios seemed to overlook when it reported on the changes Wednesday.
Unnamed “people familiar with the matter” told Axios for its report that, while Biden continues to host donors at the White House, he has now restricted those visits to certain parts of the president’s residence.
According to the outlet, the visits are designed to calm anxious donors

Public schools in Chicago have lost $23 million worth of laptops, iPads, and other electronic devices provided for ‘free’ to students. As many as 77,000 of these devices have just vanished into thin air.
Where did they go and who stole them?
Taxpayers are constantly lectured about public schools needing more funding and better equipment. Perhaps this is why so many people roll their eyes when they hear that argument.
FOX News reports: Chicago Public Schools lost $23M worth of laptops, iPads and other devices in 1 year, report says
