Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Weissmann said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that Americans died in the Civil War, so leaders “who engaged in insurrection” like the Colorado Supreme Court found former President Donald Trump did, can not run for office. Weissmann said, “This is not new. It is true that this provision of the Constitution is new to lots of people because we’ve never been in a situation where you would have somebody running for office who engaged in insurrection or a rebellion. What’s remarkable to me is that the story isn’t really, the unanimous finding in the Colorado case because you had no one dissenting on the issue

Trump hasn't been convicted of rebellion or treason. Section 3 of the 14th amendment doesn't mention a conviction by a court, but without one, "rebellion" and "treason" are just somebody's unsubstantiated personal belief. Ironically enough, Section 3 fails the due process and equal protection requirements of Section 1.

Got it backwards, jacka**. People died in the civil war over a profound disagreement between the states. The 14th amendment was passed after the war to protect the UNITED states, a creation of the war as opposed to the united STATES. In the wisdom of the Constitution, the 14th amendment did not abrogate other civil rights…it would be necessary for a court to try facts (with all of the protections provided to defendants) b4 14 could be applied. Unfortunately, it also did not solve the problem of poisonous slander….

. . . And, on top of everything else, it was NOT a unanimous decision! But, I guess, as long as he was making it up as he went along, he might as well go the distance and lie about everything. Plus, Alan Dershowitz was on OAN last night explaining that the judges' (wrongful) decision was based on Section 3. But they did not read as far as Section 5, which clearly states that CONGRESS shall provide the legislation to enforce the other parts of the amendment, which was clearly not done. But the dems never let a little thing like guidelines, regulations, or (gasp!) laws to stop them from doing what they want to do.

Four ignorant Political hack given high positions by fiat, saying it was a insurrection does not make it so. Nobody has found any facts that deny the finding by the FBI and other agencies that there were no armed "insurrections" at the protest. The only ones using guns and grenades were the police. I call that a Police violent riot. I don't know about you but to me it takes guns on the side of the so called insurrection to make it an insurrection. Ask the French and the Russians about that.

When there is no pushback, no consequences for what they say or do, they will say and do anything. Will we EVER see a rat lawyer investigated, disbarred, or even embarrassed for their crimes? We know uniparty politicians are corrupt and dirty, but how many millions of lawyers are simply subversive tools of globalist creeps like Soros or domestic leftist traitors. IF somehow Weissmann had half of the investigation any Republican of note gets, I'd bet my house we would find a sewer of corruption.

A Canadian journalist who pushed for people to get the COVID-19 vaccine and its million boosters suddenly died at age 33. According to his family, controversial Canadian corporate media journalist Ian Vandaelle died after being hospitalized and “declared neurologically dead.” He was known for advocating the use of vaccine passports and draconian mandates. He also called for the firing of anyone who refused the jabs. Vandaelle argued people who defied the government’s orders should be arrested and taken away to concentration camps. He worked as a business journalist and editor at the Financial Post. Vandaelle also worked as a producer at BNN Bloomberg for over a decade. In one social media post, Vandaelle stated:
Andrew Cuomo ‘leaning towards’ mayoral

Andrew Cuomo is officially waiting (very quietly) in the wings, Page Six hears. Insiders tell us that the former governor — who has been quietly polling on his chances of being elected mayor of New York City in the event the troubled Eric Adams craps out — is “leaning towards” a run at City Hall. Adams is not only facing historically low approval ratings, but his office is also under investigation for its ties to the Turkish government. Now we hear Cuomo — who himself resigned in 2021, after a string of sexual harassment allegations against him (which he has consistently denied) — is ready to run should the opportunity present itself.
