Fear Of Muslims Is Rational; “Islamophobia”
Is A Myth

Original Article

Merriam-Webster’s dictionary describes the word “phobia” as “an exaggerated, usually inexplicable and illogical fear of a particular object, class of objects, or situation.” In the wake of recent events, is fear of Muslims, labeled “Islamophobia,” really exaggerated, inexplicable, and/or illogical? I’ve concluded that not only is fear of Muslims logical and explicable, but it is by no means exaggerated and, most probably, understated. The deliberately misleading term “Islamophobia” itself amounts to a cudgel used to silence critics of what Dutch Parliamentarian (and possible new Dutch Prime Minister) Geert Wilders has at times characterized as a totalitarian political ideology masquerading as a religion.

Comments:

Yes, a fear and therefore distrust of the violent 7th century barbarians is very rational. It is not a phobia. And the author correctly identifies the efforts to assimilate large numbers of Muslims into the west as "delusional". Yes, exactly so.

Actually, I'm surprised at anyone being horrified at what happened in Israel on Oct.10th. It's what muslims have been doing for 1500 years. Islam is a satanic death cult.

Everyday, members of "the religion of peace" give us a reason to fear and loathe them. Blow up a building, shoot up an office, murder and rape women at a music festival, chop off heads because you believe differently than they do, insult the prophet (which is apparently easy to do) there are riots, something terrible happens to a Jew or America celebrations break out. No matter what you do, they will never be happy unless you are dead. Even if you support them, they will stab you in the back first opportunity they get. This cult of death is untrustworthy.

And "Jonathan Gault" quoting Jeff Cooper is just cool. And they admit at the bottom that the name is a pseudonym....which I instantly expected when I noted the author's name. Cooper is right....watch your cat when outside the house. Not freaked out but alert for threats and paying attention to surroundings. Too many folks are walking (and driving, even worse) around with their brains firmly embedded in their phones. We laugh at the videos of them walking into fountains and such, but they become obvious victims of crimes. Robbers and attackers can be literally "on you" before these folks even are aware of anything happening. Outside your home is NOT an absolutely safe environment. In the 1950s it was much safer, but people still were attacked, or just disappeared. Pay attention, head up, eyes out, brain engaged. The life you save may be your own, or a family member's.

I don't fear Muslims, but anyone with a brain should fear what their object in coming to this country is. They come here to destroy America as a republic and turn us into an Islamic Mullah run Empire. Do not by any means feel that those Islamics who pretend to be peace loving citizens want anything else. If they believe in their religion and it's teachings and attend their mosques and were their slave clothing they want what their religion, their cult demands. Don't let them BS you.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been a reliably left-leaning mouthpiece for the Biden administration on every issue, including the administration’s fatuous, anti-Israel demands for a two-state solution. I neither like nor respect him. However, in the “credit where credit is due” department, Blinken deserves props for saying something important: Namely, that a world that insistently demands that Israel surrender in this war does not make any such demands on Hamas. There will be no political commentary from me this week. This week is going to be all about Christmas. Today, I need to dive into a debate that has been raging for 35 years without a satisfactory resolution. Is Die Hard a Christmas movie? I’m an engineer. It’s impossible for me to give a simple answer if I can dream up a more complicated one. So bear with me. I think determination of whether a movie fits the Christmas genre depends on more than its musical score and the timing of its release. The plot has to include certain critical elements common to all Christmas movies.

Despite what the climate-scare-media tell us, the big danger facing life on Earth is not global warming, but a return of the deathly Pleistocene ice sheets which once covered the great grain belts of Eurasia and North America. Such global cooling would also trigger plant starvation as more carbon dioxide is dissolved from the atmosphere into the cooling oceans. We have abundant evidence that alarmist computer modelers have no ability to forecast climate. Meteorologists are gaining the ability to forecast weather up to a week ahead and the trends in ocean temperatures can help forecast whether we have El Niño or La Niña conditions for the next year.

Surely, they argue, no one needs more than 10 shots to kill a deer or stop an armed intruder. Other than in war, their main purpose, clearly, is to murder large numbers of innocent citizens. So, they should obviously be outlawed. So goes the mantra, but it is far from the truth.
