The US Supreme Court on Friday denied Jack Smith’s request for a ruling on Trump’s immunity argument.
Jack Smith last Monday asked the US Supreme Court to weigh in on Trump’s immunity claims.
President Trump on Wednesday urged the US Supreme Court to reject Jack Smith’s request to expedite the ruling on his immunity argument. Trump’s lawyers argued that Trump is immune from federal prosecution for alleged ‘crimes’ committed while he served as US President.

Thursday on FNC’s “The Story,” network contributor Jonathan Turley questioned the merits of the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to bar former President Donald Trump from the 2024 primary election ballot.
According to Turley, the 14th Amendment didn’t apply because January 6 was a riot, not an insurrection.
“It’s nonsense,” he said. “I mean, first of all, there’s really interesting analogies to go to Bush v. Gore, you know, a little over 20 years ago, they had another 4-3 decision by another state Supreme Court. And what the court did is they were uncomfortable with the ambiguous standards being used by Florida. This is even more so. When I read the 14th Amendment,

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, is one of the creditors listed on former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani’s bankruptcy court filing.
Guiliani filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in New York on Thursday after a jury in Washington, D.C., determined that Guiliani owed two Georgia election workers nearly $150 million in damages for defamatory remarks about the 2020 presidential election. His list of creditors includes Hunter Biden, the IRS, Dominion Voting Systems, Smartmatic, the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, Guiliani Partners LLC and Noelle Dunphy, a former employee who accused Giuliani of sexual assault.

President Joe Biden is pardoning thousands of people who were convicted of simple possession of marijuana on federal lands and in Washington, D.C. – expanding a pot pardon from last year as he commutes the sentences of 11 inmates serving time for drug offenses.
The White House released the clemencies on Friday morning, shortly before revealing the identities of the 11 individuals.
The list includes people convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, distribution of cocaine base, and distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school. Some of them were serving life sentences, including a Georgia man convicted of conspiracy to distribute and possess cocaine as well as cocaine possession.

PIEDRAS NEGRAS, MEXICO — Migrants are hurrying across the US’ southern border into Texas in record numbers before a state law allowing police to arrest anyone suspected of illegally crossing the border goes into effect in the new year.
Tens of thousands of people are waiting at the Mexico-US border each day — overwhelming border patrol agents and local authorities — and the numbers are only expected to increase as migrants race to beat the March deadline when officers can begin enforcing the Texas law.

Four states—Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Massachusetts—have decided to force voters with a single option for the Democratic primaries: Joe Biden.
The decision, which effectively crowns Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee in those states without primary contestation, has incited allegations of disenfranchisement and questions about the democratic process within the party.
The true threat to the demise of our democracy lies with the Democrats, not Donald Trump. The communist party will now decide the Democratic Party’s nominee and who they install into the White House.

The unprecedented, record-shattering flood of illegal migrants crossing President Joe Biden’s border is “not unusual,” Biden’s press secretary said Thursday.
“What we’re seeing here at the border, the migration flow — increased migration flow, certainly … it ebbs and flows,” Karine Jean-Pierre told the White House daily press conference. “We’re at a time of the year where we’re seeing more at the border and it’s not unusual,” said Jean-Pierre, who is an immigrant from Haiti. (X Video) “U.S. apprehensions of migrants at the border hit a new record Monday [December 18], with at least 12,600 encounters during a period of just 24 hours,”

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Weissmann said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that Americans died in the Civil War, so leaders “who engaged in insurrection” like the Colorado Supreme Court found former President Donald Trump did, can not run for office.
Weissmann said, “This is not new. It is true that this provision of the Constitution is new to lots of people because we’ve never been in a situation where you would have somebody running for office who engaged in insurrection or a rebellion. What’s remarkable to me is that the story isn’t really, the unanimous finding in the Colorado case because you had no one dissenting on the issue

As Gateway Pundit readers know, President Trump was disqualified from the ballot in Colorado in 2024 thanks to their far-left Supreme Court. The Court dubiously cited Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the US may be disqualified from public office.
The state’s high court left room for an appeal. The ruling will go into effect on January 4, 2024.
But one would be mistaken to believe this is the end of Trump’s ballot challenges, and you can partially thank a “Republican” Presidential candidate for this.

President Joe Biden pressured Attorney General Merrick Garland in 2022 to prosecute former President Donald Trump, a resurfaced New York Times report says.
The report, which reemerged Thursday on X, appears to be attracting attention because of the recent legal attacks against Trump:
Colorado – Prohibiting Trump from Colorado’s 2024 primary ballot
New York – “Stormy Daniels” (state)
Miami – “Documents” (federal)
Washington, D.C. – “January 6” (federal)
Fulton County, Georgia (state)
Times reporters Katie Benner, Katie Rogers, and Michael S. Schmidt published an article on April 2, 2022, about Biden’s frustration with Garland

As immigration talks stall in Congress, House Speaker Mike Johnson sent a letter to President Biden urging him to take use the power of the executive to stem the flow of migrants at the southern border.
The speaker directed the president to end 'catch-and-release,' turning away any migrants encountered between ports of entry and use parole only on a 'case-by-case basis.'
He also called on the president to reinstated Trump-era policies like building the wall, reinstating the Remain in Mexico program and expanding expedited removal for those who cannot demonstrate asylum eligibility.
