President Joe Biden sent an email Tuesday to nearly 1 million student borrowers alerting them that their loans had been forgiven through steps he has taken over the past three years.
Biden's email was sent to 813,000 borrowers whose loans had previously been forgiven by Biden's actions, according to the White House. White House officials did not answer questions on how the borrowers had been selected to receive an email from the president. "For too long, the student loan program failed to live up to its commitments — and millions like you never got the relief you were owed because of errors and administrative failures," Biden wrote

First take a program from private to public hands. Make loans so colleges raise their tuition to meet new easy money from government. Allow people to go thousands of dollars in debt for useless degrees. Allow them to go several years without paying because of 'pandemic' while interest accrues. Promise to forgive the debt in order to get elected. Stick the taxpayer with the bill. All part of the democrat playbook. Rinse. lather. repeat.

I put four kids through college with only a few small private loans which I paid back. I still don’t know how we did it. Maybe because my wife and I both worked and we drove old beater cars and didn’t take a vacation for twenty years. I cannot tell you the hate I feel for that vote-buying felon in the WH trying to use my tax money to bail out these deadbeats.

I have hated Biden for nearly forty years. He's little more than a petty scum bag that managed to figure out how to be a major scum bag. This is further evidence.

You can have your loan forgiveness, but your credit rating should be in the low 100's for at least ten years. Learn to pay for everything with cash, you little leeches!

It's not even legal, and neither is the POTUS communicating privately with only a select group of Americans. No longer does the office of President represent ALL the People of the United States. My prediction is that all this will do him NO good and he will still go down as world's biggest loser, right in front of Jimmy Carter.

"For too long, the student loan program failed to live up to its commitments — and millions like you never got the relief you were owed because of errors and administrative failures". Biden put this in the email. It is the students who have failed to live up to their commitments by not paying back their loans. It is Biden and his administration who h Ave made the errors and bèn failures for allowing non payment and promising forgiveness. The only thing that is ndue in the case of student loans is forgiveness!

So pathetic! Pandering to a bunch of losers (and if you do not pay your own debts, you are a loser), so he can get their vote - if they go out and vote, that is.

It used to be that if you worked hard and paid all of your bills you were considered to be a good American. Now the drill is to slack off, accept all handouts and accumulate debt, the democrats will love you for it.

Yippie free money send me a few ballots I'd be glad to help. The fools don't grasp that as government stuffs their neighbors hard earned cash into one of their pockets, they lift three times that amount from their other pocket to hand to another special voting block target.

Will they be getting an IRS Form 1099 showing the lian forgiveness amount as taxable income? I hope so. For the first time ever, I think the federal, state, and local governments needs to collect taxes on this unearned income from these loan deadbeats. Put a few federal, state, and local tax leins on them. They will wish they would have paid their student loans back.

Student loan debt was bad debt likely to never be repaid. It was forgiven to get it off the books. Total US debt is over 100 trillion. How much more bad debt is out there? Is it any wonder the economy is in the toilet?
Go ahead and take credit for it, Joe. These moochers were always on your side. They never intended to get a real job in the first place.
The only lesson to learn from this is people cannot be allowed to go through life as moochers and our government should not be supporting them.

So the rest of US will pay the deadbeat's bill...just because obama/biden needs their votes....they're running out of voters in the black community...and the hispanics are running away from them....so all they have left is college students and mothers who like to kill babies...not a responsible group....

This is the best vote-buying program I have seen in my nearly 8 decades as an American and nearly 7 decades as a taxpayer.
I think this will enrage a lot of Americans who paid their own way through college or found a trade job instead of college--but are funding this vote buy with their taxes. From an election standpoint, this could backfire if the republicans are inclined to make it a major campaign issue.
