GOP Rep. Bacon: Jordan Is Done, He Needs

Representative Don Bacon (R-NE) said Wednesday on CNN’s “The Lead” that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) should withdraw from the speaker race because he will not get the votes. Anchor Jake Tapper said, “In fact, Jordan is doing worse than he did yesterday. He had fewer votes than he did yesterday. A spokesman for Jordan said he’s not dropping out. We’re going to “keep going.” Do you see Jordan getting to 217 any time soon, or do you think he will keep doing worse and worse?” Bacon said, “I believe he’s done. He needs to withdraw from this. He’s going to lose more votes tomorrow. I know it.

The only thing I have seen come out of this group of Republicans is stupidity. You have lost me. I will be registering as an Independent. The longer you go the more support you will lose. And any democrat or independent who had thought of voting for you will pull back. They might decide not to vote for FJB and the Clown Administration but if he looks across the aisle they will see the same thing. A bunch of egotistical boobs who couldn't find their butts with both hands. My God, what are they thinking? As bad as FJB appears you are not looking much better. Younger, yes, but no better.

Sounds like Rep Bacon has been around for a little too long and some fat that needs to be trimmed from the Republican Party. Who does he propose take the Speaker job? Scalise dropped out. Republicans like Bacon are using impossible to meet "principles" to select the next Speaker. Nobody will be good enough. Instead, people like Bacon will choose a compromise candidate who Democrats will accept and throw all of their principles out the window.

Jordan should stay in the race. The House can elect Jordan for Speaker, or got without one, and stay shut down. As far as the American people are concerned, the shutdown is a great benefit.

Democrats have the wonderful tendency of sticking together as they, and their country, go over the cliff. Too many Republican “leaders” have the unfortunate tendency to cover their individual behind regardless. Their illusion of “power” helps them do it.

Essentially out in Nebraska because he voted against the conservative Republican Jim Jordan for Speaker, old Bacon bits may be finished as far as his reelection goes! The way it has been going with the wimpy “Stupid” Party, don’t be surprised if Bacon does not support Hakeem Jefferies, a Democrat socialist from NY for Speaker.

I would be interested in hearing what Matt Gaetz has to say about Republicans unable to select a speaker. I may have missed it but as he is a notorious blow hard I find his silence over the mess he caused rather puzzling. Perhaps the victory cigar he gave himself after ousting McCarthy blew up in his face.

#12, Put a cork in it! We get it. You hate Gaetz. However, he is the guy trying to change things for the better. McCarthy made a deal and reneged! He lied. He took himself out! He had ample opportunities to keep his promises. HE chose not to. Get it? It is not the fault of Gaetz but the fault of the Rinos that refuse to listen to their constituents. We are tired of their out of control spending, endless wars, and broken promises. We watch as the country circles the drain and then when someone has a viable plan for making good changes, he breaks his word. It is not Gaetz’s doing, all McCarthy had to do is keep his word and he could not manage even that. Americans are done with Rinos. They are worthless ego-centric elites who believe the people they represent are fools. Enough. Do not relent. Defeat these Rinos on this matter and the people will take care of removing them from office.

A thousand likes for #18. Old Don doesn’t realize that this will finish him off. Nebraskans are furious about this. He is a weak, stupid little man with a yuge chip on his shoulder. He has been wined and dined by the GOPe crowd and is now true blue RINO, through and through. He only gets re-elected because the dems keep putting up bona fide crazies against him. But, grassroots conservatism is growing by leaps and bounds in Nebraska and even Omaha, due to the draconian overreach of Covid policies, followed by an obvious stolen election. People are organizing and getting involved like never before here. It’s quite an amazing thing to see. I suspect NE is not the only state to experience this. Unfortunately for the RINOs, they don’t want to see it, and are not completely out of touch with the voters. They only listen to money. I wrote to Mr. Bacon this morning and “advised” him to get with the program. I have no doubt he will ignore me.

As my colleague Bob Hoge reported, Joe Biden's speech on Israel and Ukraine on Thursday night was a complete mess. He was requesting aid for Israel, Ukraine, and the Palestinians in Gaza. He started not being aware that the was live on the air, so there was this awkward pause. But that's typical Joe; he always seems to have some difficulty. I'm not sure what he thought he would achieve with the speech. I think he was trying to use the support for Israel to bootstrap a comparison to Ukraine, to try to justify why we should support both, but they're not the same. And in the case of Hamas,

The surprise victory in Louisiana’s open gubernatorial primary for Governor-Elect Jeff Landry (R-LA) on Saturday is an encouraging sign for Republicans heading into the 2024 elections, GOP insiders tell Breitbart News. Landry, who is currently the Bayou State’s attorney general and had the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, won the open primary with a nearly 52 percent majority on Saturday night. In other words, he won the governorship outright without having to face another rival in a November runoff. The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reports a significant factor in Landry’s victory was a low turnout, the likes of which had not been seen in a decade,

Reportedly, he wants $60 billion more for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel. "American leadership is what holds the world together. American alliances are what keep us – America – safe. American values are what make us a partner that other nations want to work with," he said. "To put all that at risk

The Israeli military has a "green light" to move into Gaza whenever it's ready, a member of the country’s security cabinet told ABC News. Hostages and civilian casualties will be secondary to destroying Hamas, Economy Minister Nir Barakat told ABC News, "even if it takes a year." Asked about the miles of tunnels Hamas has built under Gaza, he said they’d become the "world’s biggest cemetery." Hamas has claimed to be holding some or all of the 203 Israeli hostages it’s taken within that vast network. "We shall do all efforts to bring our hostages, to bring our hostages [back] alive…" he said, but the "first and last priority"

The United States is easing sanctions on Venezuela after the South American country's government and opposition agreed to have next year's election monitored by international observers. Sanctions will be eased on Venezuela's oil, gas and gold sectors. The next election in Venezuela has been scheduled for the second half of next year. Other sanctions imposed over the suppression of protests and the erosion of democracy remain in place. Washington has cautioned that the relaxation could be reversed if the electoral pact collapses. A new general license issued by the US treasury department authorised Venezuela, which had been under hefty sanctions since 2019, to produce and export oil to its chosen markets
