For the last sixty or so years the media-education complex has established a rule that only ethnic groups of color are permitted to have grievances. Indeed, since the emergence of Barack Obama, these groups have formed something of a grievance-industrial complex. Italian-Americans apparently don’t pass the color test. Although they come from roughly the same Mediterranean stock as people from Spain, Americans of Spanish descent get a bump up the swag wagon. Italians get niente. People of Spanish descent even get a designated month, National Hispanic Heritage Month.

As the 2024 presidential election nears with the world on the brink of, or already in, World War Three, America must make a serious choice in 13 months. Will America course correctly or slide into bankruptcy and irrelevancy on the world stage? Perhaps the feckless Republicans need a rallying cry.

Suzanne Somers and the death of innocence

Suzanne Somers, best remembered for her starring role in the iconic 1970s sitcom Three’s Company, has passed away at age 76. Somers leaves behind a husband and a son, and I send both of them my condolences. Her passing reminded me of the fact that Three’s Company was both a show from a much more innocent time as well as a show that paved the way for the cultural dissolution that characterizes 2023.
If you’re younger than I am, here’s the premise of Three’s Company, which debuted in 1976 and ran until 1984: Jack (John Ritter) needed a place to live.
I typically write my Townhall columns a couple of days ahead of time, and I hope that events don’t overcome this one. Why am I worried? Far-left Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis lashed out at House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan on Wednesday for demanding she answer questions about her RICO and conspiracy investigation into Trump and 18 of his associates and lawyers.
Fani Willis once again refused to cooperate with Jim Jordan and accused him of being ignorant of the law.

The railroad cars squealed to a stop where lines of police and soldiers stood by to receive the deplorable passengers. The human cargo -- nearly all middle aged to seniors -- debarked with their few permitted possessions and turned where the uniformed guardians directed. Those using crutches or wheelchairs took separate routes for greater efficiency.
Some of the deplorable detritus still sported red hats rather than yellow stars.

As armed Hamas terrorists are beheading Jewish babies, raping innocent women, and executing civilians in the street, Starbucks union workers—backed by far-left Squad member Rep. The patterns of the anti-Semitic/Marxist/”Palestinian”/LGBTQ/BLM/hate-filled alliance are nothing if not predictable. After expressing shock and dismay that their Palestinian friends in Gaza specifically targeted civilians, in under a week, they have quickly shifted back to their repeated old rhetoric. They are now blaming Israel for the horrific attacks from Hamas, calling Israel’s counter-attacks on Hamas a “terrorist siege,” blitzing the media with images of wounded from Gaza, and attacking Israel in all ways as an ‘apartheid state’ and, as Ocasio Cortez defined Israel, a nation devoted to “ethnic cleansing”. We cannot let them try to control the narrative with their blatant lies.
