Israel Reaps What Jimmy Carter Sowed

The war launched by Iran-backed Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel has roots that go back centuries, but a more recent critical node in the story is the Iranian Revolution of 1979, when militant Islam achieved state power in the ancient Persian land. Then, the world watched as a longtime American ally — the shah of Iran and the Pahlavi dynasty — was ousted from power with the tacit acceptance of the Carter administration, which had been critical of the shah (and other American allies) for “human rights” violations. The revolutionary regime backed “students” who seized the U.S. embassy and 52 American hostages for 444 humiliating days, while President Jimmy Carter

This topic was commented upon by several posters in a different thread today. Here's the meat from Am Spec Jimmah was a fool, and naive to boot. He came across as a nice guy, but repeatedly sided with the Arabs against Israel, many times quite horribly after he had left the White House. A really rotten, destructive person...with a genial smile.

The Shah was sending out mean tweets - - so he had to go. Jimmuh rolled over and collapsed - - to the same hysterical pressure tactics which the leftists always employ. Only Presidet Reagan and President Trump had the self-confidence - - the strong beliefs - - and the strength of character - - to ignore and smash the commies. Jimmuh had a linguini spine - - and the world has paid a tragic price for it. Go President Trump 2024!

I remember Carter when he was the President. He was really bad. Really bad! America was never the same after his term. Iran, a 3rd world country, while holding 52 American hostages played him like a fiddle. Special force rescue missions under his direction failed miserably. It emboldened Iran and the other Middle East terrorists. Rest is history. Oh, wait! Then came Doorknob Hussein, followed by BiteMe Diaper which I think became the Nail in the Coffin.

The Peanut Picker needed a mission in life. So he decided his was Human Rights. So he jumped on The Shah's case. The Shah was overthrown and we got the Ayatollah Merdehollah. And Iran is a rich country that fully funds mass murder. Until the government of Iran is overthrown this problem isn't going away. Find the Shah's son or grandson and put him on the Throne of Iran. Make the Mad Mullahs walk the plank.

LBJ decided to run and murder tens of thousands of Americans n Vietnam. Carter decided to 'change human rights' in the world by enabling the worse human rights abuser in Post WW II times. Clinton was districted by thongs on porky girls which is the only reason he didn't do worse than he did. Obambi believed Carter was right and empowering Iran was just great. Biden has been so imcompetent that two wars have started in his short regime. All Democrats. All interested in creating a world closer to war than ever before. Reagan crushed the USSR and brought about its end without firing a shot. Bush I crushed a Middle East threat to stability. Bush II crushed the terrroist networks but wasn't smart enough to leave it at that. Peace in the Middle East broke out like hero worship at a Taylor Swift concert under Trump. Starting to see a pattern?

I also blame 60 Minutes. They did a whole anti-Shaw episode which shaped American opinions. And at the time I always suspected JC saw that episode and was influenced by it. But in the past few decades I've begun to think JC was just an anti-Semite from the word go and that gave him sympathies for Muslims. And it was JC that got 60 Minutes to do that show.

Yep, decades later, we are still dealing with Jimmy Carter's interference in the ME. He yanked the rug out from under the only (at the time) pro western leader in the ME besides Israel. He also got Anwar Sadat assassinated as well. Carter might have given up his title to worse presidents then he was, but he is still always going to be a nasty and petty human being.

I am going to go against the grain here. Carter was naive and in over his head, but I do not see how he could have prevented the Islamic takeover in Iran. People forget that the Shah at that point was despised by his own people and suffering from terminal cancer. Trying to prop him up would have been an exercise in futility and perhaps have dragged us into yet another foreign war. Giving the Shah refuge in the U.S.and providing him with medical treatment was the best we could have done for a proven ally. Did we get caught with our pants down at the embassy? Maybe, I don't recall the timetable. But the attempt to lay today's situation at Cater's feet is wrong IMO. We cannot hold past presidents responsible for the feckless decisions made by their successors.

Democrats do this time and time again, as if they are being extorted or blackmailed by Arabs and Persians over something. - Jimmy "55 MPH" Carter, it was all about getting the Saudi's and OPEC to pump oil and lower prices at the pump. He'd do anything for a second term; even begging the Soviet Union Premier to "publicly endorse him" over his opponent, Ronald Reagan. The Premier laughed at him. - Bill Clinton was paying off OBL in an effort to avoid any more terrorist attacks on American interests abroad or at home. That didn't work out too well either. Even when the Arabs offered up OBL"s head on a platter, the anti-Semites in the National Security circles didn't take them up on it, leading to 9-11. - Barack Hussein Obama was nothing but an Islamist who "loved the sound of evening prayers being sung." They didn't have to twist his arm to get the "Arab Spring" in Egypt and Libya. And look who was parading around picking up big money contributions to her favorite charity (the Clinton Foundation), but Secretary of State, bigtime hustler, "Herself," Hillary Clinton. - Joe Biden is the virtual "GoFundMe" of the Democrat Party. He's available at a price for anything. We don't yet know how many of our most highly guarded secrets the unholy trinity of Clinton-Obama-Biden (COB) have sold to China, Iran, Saudi Arabia for a bit of personal wealth. We do know Clinton allowed Chinese spies to work and steal secrets from Los Alamos National Laboratory, resulting in China getting our designs for the MIRV warhead design, shaving decades of research from their efforts. Evil such as this can only be exacted by God Himself. Leave it in His hands and pray for the nation.

I remember the long gas lines, the malaise speech with him looking like Mister Fred Rogers from the PBS kids show. I remember him giving over the Panama Canal. Mostly though I remember what ultimately did JECJR in. His weakness in the face of evil in Iran and the fact that a former California governor and movie star used that to make him look like a weak fool during the 1980 Election debates. Leading him to be beaten in one of the largest landslides in history. Now Israel who Carter does NOT care for (too strong a statement, get his book about Palestine) is indeed reaping what he has sown.

That was a significant understatement, and given the myriad of problems they’ve created for themselves, fixing it was already a monumental task. And that was before Disney got the first box office results from Marvel Studios’ latest signature release, The Marvels. Pre-release tracking had suggested that The Marvels could gross $75 million to $80 million in its opening weekend, which would have been a disastrous failure for a film with an estimated $270 million production budget.

John Carpenter was a pretty amazing filmmaker in his early years. He took three pumpkins, a bag of leaves, a poorly tuned piano, a half-in-the-bag lead actor, bad lighting, and an awful script and turned all that into a cinematic masterpiece. Halloween isn’t a cinematic masterpiece like Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Linden is...but for what John Carpenter was working with, he achieved an impressive financial and visual result. But as creepy as John Carpenter’s Halloween was, the story...was dumb. So much of the modern “horror” genre is dumb. Zombies and vampires and serial killers who don’t die — it’s all been done over and over again.

The frenzy is at its peak now because it’s the time of year for tropical storms and wildfires. However, to appreciate that these stories are pure narratives, it’s a good time to consider the facts behind the so-called “greenhouse gases.” Several atmospheric gases, including carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapor, absorb light in the infrared region. These are collectively known as the “greenhouse gases” because absorbing infrared energy warms up the air—hence the name greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide, on a per-molecule basis, is six times as effective an absorber as water is.

In the aftermath of another disappointing election night for Republicans, questions need to be asked about supposedly non-partisan get-out-the-vote (GOTV) operations Democrats are using to ensure their low-propensity voters – and only their low-propensity voters – get to the polls. On March 7, 2021, Executive Order on Promoting Access to Voting, President Joe Biden instructed every federal agency to submit a plan to leverage their agency’s personnel and assets to help turn out the vote. For example, agencies might use internal data to identify aid recipients who are not registered to vote, then use agency personnel to get them registered and ensure their ballot is cast and counted.
