Several Republican presidential candidates have an overwhelmingly negative view of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and have pledged to either remove him or appoint a new leader if elected president in 2024.
The Fed has raised its benchmark federal funds rate 11 times since March 2022, bringing the rate to a range of 5.25% and 5.50% in an attempt to cool inflation and the economy. Powell’s term ends in 2026, and Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and conservative businessman Vivek Ramaswamy have both said that they’d oust the chair, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence said

Three more pro-life activists were found guilty on Friday and immediately incarcerated for their role in an abortion clinic blockade that took place in Washington, DC, in October of 2020.
Pro-life activists Joan Andrews Bell, 74; Jonathan Darnel, 40; and Jean Marshall, 72, were found guilty of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act and conspiracy against rights for blocking access to the Washington Surgi-Clinic, a clinic infamous for late-term abortions. The guilty verdict comes after five other pro-life activists involved in the same blockade were found guilty on all charges in late August.
“This overreaching of power and authority by Biden’s DOJ is egregious and must be stopped.

Texas RINOs, including Bush and Rove allies, want Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton gone. So they made up some accusations against him without evidence in an attempt to impeach him.
Attorney General Ken Paxton is the one man who has stood up against the Democrat-Marxist onslaught in the great state of Texas. Democrats and Secret Sleeper Republicans hate him for this.
On Tuesday, the Texas Senate opened the impeachment trial of Attorney General Ken Paxton, which could result in his removal from office.
The Republican-led Texas House in May impeached highly popular Attorney General Ken Paxton over allegations of misconduct.

A distressing new crime trend known as 'flash rob mobs' is on the rise and likely to cost California a whopping $19billion a year, guidance from the LAPD warns.
The incidents have become increasingly frequent in soft-on-crime California, where detectives in the state's largest police force are now assembling designated teams to tackle the problem.
The groups have been pillaging stores including Nordstrom and Versace. In response to the recent spate, officials at the Los Angeles Police Department have formed a taskforce, named the the Organized Retail Crime Taskforce (ORCT).

Former President Donald Trump told Megyn Kelly that President Biden is “not too old” to be president, but he made it clear the 80-year-old is “grossly incompetent.”
Kelly asked Trump, 77, if he agreed with the popular sentiment that Biden is “too old to be president.” To the surprise of many, Trump did not agree. (X Video) “No, not for the reason of old, because I have many friends who are in their 80s,” Trump said, adding that he also has friends in their 90s who are “sharp as a tack.”

Hunter Biden, the wayward son of President Joe Biden, has been indicted on three federal gun charges — and of all the allegations he faces, these are the only ones that would not implicate his father in wrongdoing.
Special Counsel David Weiss filed three felony gun charges against Hunter Biden on Thursday, which could lead to up to 25 years in prison. These are the first charges after a “sweetheart” plea bargain fell apart in July when it was questioned by a judge. But that deal also included misdemeanor charges of willful failure to file federal taxes. The taxes had to do with the income Hunter Biden appears to have earned

Former President Donald Trump slammed special counsel Jack Smith Friday for trying to secure a gag order in a post on Truth Social.
Smith requested a “narrowly-tailored” order, claiming that Trump’s comments on social media and elsewhere about the case “are intended to undermine public confidence in an institution — the judicial system — and to undermine confidence in and intimidate individuals –the Court, the jury pool, witnesses, and prosecutors,” according to ABC News. Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges during his Aug. 3 arraignment after Smith secured a four-count indictment of Trump relating to his efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election.

Former President Donald Trump said his opponents were "getting desperate to stop our movement" while speaking at his first of two speeches in the nation's capital on Friday night.
The former president gave the closing address at the Concerned Women for America Leadership Summit at the Capitol Hilton in Washington, D.C. and railed against the "far-left lunatics, perverts, and criminals," touting his presidential record during the speech. "It's no wonder the far-left lunatics, perverts, and criminals are getting desperate to stop our movement by any means necessary. They are really trying to stop us, as you perhaps have read," Trump said.
"It's all they're good at.
